Powerful Charging and Quick Charge with this Tronsmart Car Charger

The Tronsmart 3 port car charger is capable of providing ample power through each of its ports.

The most notable port that is colored blue features Quick Charge 3.0. Quick Charge 3.0 and 2.0 compatible devices can charge at 3.0 Amps of charging speed.

The other two ports can provide a max charging speed of 2.4 Amps of charging speed. Although one thing that we found underwhelming was that if you used a non-compatible Quick Charge device on the Quick Charge port, then you’d only receive charging speeds of either 6.5-9V/2A or 9-12V/1.5A.

This is kind of disappointing because on one spectrum you’d be getting superfast Quick Charge speeds of charging with a compatible device; But if you use a non-compatible Quick Charge device, it won’t charge with 2.4 Amps.

Although that’s not really logical, the higher voltage within the Quick Charge port makes up for the lack of Amperage speed.

Altogether, if you’ve 2 more people in the car with you that want to charge their devices and do so quickly, then this car charger is a must. From your smartphone to iPads or other devices, will be charged at their full speeds or at least the fastest charging speed they’re able to accept.

The higher the ports with a car charger, the bigger the size tends to be but in this case, Tronsmart truly designs their car chargers in a stylish and intelligent way.

The stem of the Tronsmart Charging cable goes into the electrical outlet very easily and is very short.

Which isn’t the case with many car chargers that are in the 3-port and 4-port range. As result, the car charger doesn’t stick out very much. The only noticeable thing about the car charger is the port end.

The port end of the car charger is quite wide which is to be expected to accommodate the 3 charging ports.

This is actually one of the best 3 port car chargers that we’ve reviewed because of the shape of the charging end; It’s an oval shape that takes the least amount of space up, with the ports taking nearly every bit of space.

It’s a well thought out design because it makes the car charger very low profile and simple to use with all the ports being visible and at the same angle.

An extremely solidly built car charger that takes advantage of every bit of space that its got.

The car charger’s small design is what makes the build quality so good. The charger is able to keep everything compact and by doing so, there aren’t any components of the charger that become loose.

The car charger uses spring charging receptacles on the stem end, which in my opinion, is alright for inputting it into the charging outlet but a built in a receptacle that is depressed into a car charger proves to be better in the long run.

The most useful type of safety technology that we found was the Heating control. In the hot months of the year, the car charger won’t be giving a full Output and that’s to be expected because it’s for the better.

That’s because if the car charger were to send out 2.4 Amps or 3.0 Amps in very hot weather then the car charger and your devices would get damaged due to high heat. It’s this well built-in technology that proves it to be strong and smart at the same time.

You can’t always have the fastest charging that you’ve come to expect but it’s for the greater good. Would you rather have a fast charging rate or have to buy a new phone and car charger?

Like most car chargers, the reliability part mostly relies on the user end.

This car charger as we’ve mentioned in this review is powerful, designed beautifully and is built to prevent damage and control its power.

However, the car charger can only get its job done, if you’re willing to let it charge your device depending on how long you’re driving.

The power of the Tronsmart car charger is as simple as calling it strong. It has one port that has Quick Charge 3.0 that can charge Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0 compatible devices at rapid speeds.

We were just a little disappointed that the Quick Charge port won’t charge at 2.4A when using a non-compatible Quick Charge device but the increased Voltage somewhat makes up for the lost speed.

We did find that the charging receptacles are the springing kind and this car charger would have been better for it, but it’s not a deal breaker.
