Battery Cases

Well, you know what a phone case is, it’s a case that goes onto a smartphone to protect it from damage. A Battery case is a phone case that charges your phone. A battery case is able to charge a phone because all it is, is a portable charger that is in the form of your phone but as a case.

A battery case charges a smartphone through charging head that is located wherever the charging port of the phone is.

Charging with battery cases is not done constantly, though, on nearly every battery case there is an ON and OFF switch that you have control of when charging will be done to the device. This is a spectacular feature because putting on a battery case and having the battery case just charge instantly would be a waste of energy and people usually want to charge their phone when it’s on low battery and not when it’s full of battery power.

Battery cases also feature LED lights to indicate the battery power that is left in the battery case.

How is charging actually done through a battery case?

A battery case will have a charging head that will match the smartphone that it is for.

This means that an iPhone battery case has a Lightning head the will go into the iPhone when the battery case is put on.

A battery case for an Android phone, for example, a Galaxy S7 will have a Micro USB head for charging and that Micro USB head will go into a Galaxy S7 when the battery case is put onto the phone.

Are battery cases protective?

Battery cases can be protective just like normal phone cases but a Battery case’s true purpose is to provide easy charging on the go. Battery cases tend to be small and slim as possible so the user doesn’t dislike the thickness of the case.

Overall Battery cases are protective, but remember that if you were to accidentally drop your phone that uses a battery case, the battery case could possibly get damaged since it’s an actual electronic product.

Are Battery Cases bigger than traditional cases?

Battery cases can indeed be thicker than normal cases because there is charging technology within them, such as the battery and because of this, using a battery case can be off-putting.

However, companies that do produce Battery cases know that Battery cases being thick are a problem and because of that, most Battery cases are beginning to slim down due to innovative ways to place the tech inside the case; Therefore getting a Battery case would overall be a better choice for a case.

If you’re in the market for a case and always worry that your phone is going to die; Purchasing a battery case is a great thing to do because there’s no need to carry around a portable charger and instead, the case is your charger.
