Best Anker / Aukey / RAVPower Power Delivery Chargers

(Last Updated On: July 7, 2018)

There are two main fast charging technologies on the market and they’re known as Quick Charge and Power Delivery. Quick Charge is quite common among Android smartphones and that’s mainly because most Android smartphones are compatible with Quick Charge. Quick Charge is also used with many charging electronics on the market and you’re able to find a charger that uses the fast charging tech quite easily and this is true for wall chargers, portable chargers, and car chargers, too.

However, as useful as Quick Charge is, it’s not a universal fast charging solution and that’s because the fast charging tech can only be used with devices that use the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor and it’s basically impossible that every portable device would use the Qualcomm’s processor just to use Quick Charge. That’s why the alternative and more universal solution for fast charging is USB-C Power Delivery.

Power Delivery is the fast charging technology that’s used with the new standard of connectivity and charging that is USB-C. Many of the portable devices that we each day are now starting to use USB-C, such as new Android smartphones are now using a USB-C port instead of the more common Micro-USB input. Many Android tablets are now using USB-C, and so are many laptops. Such as the Apple MacBook now uses USB-C Power Delivery charging, and if you own a USB-C laptop and a USB-C smartphone then you can very well use the same Power Delivery charger to charge both of those devices.

Power Delivery fast charging is so universal is that it’s also used with the iPhone X and iPhone 8, both of which use a Lightning port, but all you need is a USB-C to Lightning charging cable to use a USB-C Power Delivery charger with them. With all that said, in this guide, we’re going to be covering Power Delivery chargers from popular brands such as Anker, Aukey, and RAVPower. All of which have some of the best Power Delivery chargers on the market.

Aukey 48W USB-C Power Delivery Wall Charger

To start off with, this is Aukey’s 2-port Power Delivery wall charger that uses a USB-C Power Delivery port and it also has a Quick Charge USB-A port. The charging speed of the USB-C Power Delivery port is 46W, and that’s quite a lot faster than what most Power Delivery chargers tend to have. As most Power Delivery chargers have a 30W charging rate. As a result, with this USB-C Power Delivery port, you’re able to charge certain compatible USB-C laptops at a faster charging speed.

Another great part about the charger is that it has a max output of 48W, and that basically means that you can use the max power of the USB-C port and the USB-A port at the same time.

Aukey 3-port 60W USB-C Power Delivery Desktop Charging Station

This is another one of Aukey’s Power Delivery chargers but this one is a desktop charging station and that’s because instead of it using a built-in AC adapter it has a power cord. This can actually be better because you have more freedom about where you want to place your charger. There are a total of three charging ports on this charger. There are two USB-A ports that each have a 5V/2.4A charging rate, and then there’s the USB-C Power Delivery port that has a 60W charging rate, a whole lot faster than the regular 30W charging rate that most Power Delivery chargers tend to have.

With a 60W PD charging speed, you’re able to charge certain compatible USB-C PD laptops that won’t charge at 30W, such as the Dell XPS 13 that requires that you use 45W Power Delivery charger. Or the Dell XPS 15 that requires that you use 60W PD charging speed.

Also, since the max output of this charger is 72W, you can use the max power of all the ports at the same time, since there’s 60W reserved for the USB-C port, and 12W is shared between the two USB-A ports.

This PowerPort II charger is actually one of Anker’s newest wall chargers. The charger features two ports, one is the USB-C Power Delivery port that has a 30W charging rate. The other one is a USB-A port that features PoweriQ 2.0, and this port is able to output 18W. To put it basically the PoweriQ 2.0 port features Quick Charge and can, therefore, charge Quick Charge compatible smartphones at their max charging speed, and so this PowerPort II wall charger actually features two fast charging technologies.

The best part is that you get this powerful charging with a retractable AC adapter and form factor that you’re able to take anywhere that you want.

Anker Premium 60W 5-Port Power Delivery Desktop Charger

Then there’s Anker’s 5-port Power Delivery desktop charging station. The charger uses a single USB-C Power Deliver port that has a 30W charging rate. Each of the four USB-A ports on this charger has a 5V/2.4A charging speed. The max output of Anker desktop charger is 60W, so there’s 30W that’s for the USB-C Power Delivery port and then there’s 30W that’s spread across the four USB-A ports. So even if you’re using the max power of all the USB-A ports, you can still use 30W with the USB-C Power Delivery port.

Also, you can use the max power of two USB-A ports at the same time, and even if you’re using the entirety of the 30W that’s for the USB-A ports, the charging power is still enough to charge most smartphones and tablets at quite a fast rate.

RAVPower 5-Port USB-C Power Delivery Desktop Charging StationRAVPower 5-Port Power Delivery USB-C Charging Station

Another 5-port desktop charging station comes from, RAVPower. A brand that is quite well-known on the market and this desktop charger, even though quite similar to the 5-port Anker desktop charger that we mentioned is actually more powerful with its Power Delivery charging. That’s because the USB-C port on this charger has a 45W charging rate, and so if you want more Power Delivery charging power while at the same time have the option to charge another four devices at the same time, then this RAVPower desktop charger is definitely the way to go.

All USB-A ports on this charger share a 15W output, as the max output of this charger is 60W, with 45W being for the USB-C port, and then the rest is spread across the four USB-A ports. So the USB-A ports on this charger are not the most powerful part, but it’s still very useful to have the ability to charge four other devices while you charge a USB-C Power Delivery device.

Aukey 30,000mAh 30W Power Delivery Portable Charger with Quick Charge

Another great thing about Power Delivery is that it’s also usable with portable chargers, just like Quick Charge is. So this means that if you have a USB-C Power Delivery compatible laptop, you can use a Power Delivery portable charger to charge it with, and you no longer have to 100% rely on an AC outlet to charge your laptop.

The first Power Delivery charger that we’re recommending comes from Aukey. This Power Delivery portable charger of theirs has a 30,000mAh power capacity that can be used to charge smartphones, tablets and also laptops to their full power many times over. There are also three charging ports with this power bank.

There are two USB-A ports, with one using Quick Charge and the other one is a standard port that has a 5V/2.4A charging speed. Then there’s the USB-C port that has a 30W charging rate, and of course, that makes two fast charging technologies on this charger. Recharging this power bank can be done through two input ports, but they can only be used once at a time.

One input is a Micro-USB input with a 5V/2.0A (10W) recharge rate, and the other, much faster recharge port is the USB-C port that can also be used to recharge this power bank. The USB-C port is faster because you can use a Power Delivery wall charger to recharge this 30,000mAh power bank at Power Delivery speeds (30W).

Aukey 2-Port 29W USB-C Power Delivery Car Charger

Yes, there are indeed Power Delivery car chargers and they’re basically one of the most useful types of chargers that you can use, that is, if you’re driving. As fast charging is most effective when you’re not using your device and you should definitely not be using any devices while you’re driving.

To start off, this is Aukey’s 2-port Power Delivery charger. There’s a USB-A port that has a 5V/2.4A (12W) charging rate and USB-C port that that has a 27W charging speed. So the USB-C Power Deliverycharging speed is still present here, but it’s not quite at the usual 30W charging rate. On the bright side, you’re able to use the max power of the two ports at the same time and that’s because the max output of this car charger is 39W.
