Best Chargers for the HP Elite x2 in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 1, 2024)

The HP Elite x2 tablet is one of the latest to hit the market from HP, and it’s quite a fine piece of technology.

That’s mainly because this isn’t just a tablet but also a laptop once you add the keyboard to the bottom of it.

The main point is that this is a portable device, or at least it’s meant to be very portable and taken with you nearly anywhere. Since it’s portable, one of the essential parts you need to consider getting for it is a charger for the HP Elite x2, as you’ll need to charge it when you’re using it a lot and taking it everywhere.

UGREEN Nexode 140W 3 Port Charger

If you want to charge your HP Elite x2 with a third-party charger, choose the ones with high Power Delivery output to ensure they will charge your HP Elite x2. Also, more powerful chargers tend to help charge other USB-C laptops, and they have multiple ports, so if you choose the chargers in this guide, they will be useful for charging your HP Elite x2 and charging most USB-C chargeable devices in general.

This UGREEN 140W charger and most others can fast charge most laptops. You can pull 140W of Power Delivery if you’re charging a single device via the USB-C 1 port, while C-2 can output 100W when charging one device. Also, when you charge from the two USB-C ports simultaneously, you can get a 65W Power Delivery charge rate from each port. This makes it possible to potentially charge two HP Elite x2 laptops at the same time.

Then, if you’re charging three devices simultaneously, the C-1 port outputs 65W, and the C-2 port outputs 45W. The USB-A port on this charger will output 22.5W, no matter how many devices you charge simultaneously. This charger has a USB-C to USB-C cable that lets you start charging your HP Elite x2 out of the box. VOLTME 140W 3 Port Charger

Another 140W charger I recommend for the HP Elite x2 is the VOLTME 140W charger. This one comes from a smaller brand. Therefore, you may find the price to be lower. Power allocation for this VOLTME charger works the same as the UGREEN charger, with his VOLTME charger able to output 140W of Power Delivery via USB-C and 100W from C-2 if you’re charging one device at a time.

You can also get 65W of Power Delivery via USB-C 1 and 2 if you’re charging two devices simultaneously via the two USB-C ports; this makes it possible to charge your HP Elite x2 and possibly another laptop simultaneously. Then, when charging three devices simultaneously with this VOLTME charger, I recommend charging your HP Elite x2 via the USB-C 1 port, as it can output 65W.

One downside of this VOLTME charger is that it doesn’t come with a USB-C to USB-C cable, so just a heads up. To learn about the affordability and functionality of the VOLTME 140W 3 Port Charger, read my review article or check out my video review.

Baseus 100W 4 Port Charger

If you’re searching for a charger with many charging ports to charge a couple of phones or tablets while having your HP Elite x2, the Baseus 100W charger is a good choice. There are many 100W chargers on the market. However, the power allocation for this Baseus charger is different than most. You can use the 100W of Power Delivery from this Baseus charger if you charge one device via USB-C 1 or 2. The most impressive part of this Baseus charger is that even if you’re charging four devices simultaneously, the C-1 port will output 60W.

There are four ports on this Basues charger: two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. So when you’re charging four devices, C-1 outputs 60W, C-2 outputs 20W, and the two USB-A ports output 15W; this makes it possible to fast charge your HP Elite x2 while also being able to fast charge a phone or tablet and charge another two phones from the USB-A ports.

Most 100W four port chargers have a lower power allocation of 45W to USB-C 1 when charging four devices simultaneously; this Baseus charger provides more power to C-1. This charger also comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Gain insights into the Baseus 100W 4 Port Charger by reading my in-depth article review or watching my video analysis.

UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 Port Charger

This UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 port charger is on the lower power side. You can only charge your HP Elite x2 from this UGREEN charger if you are charging it alone because that’s how you can use the total 45W of Power Delivery. There are two USB-C ports on this UGREEN charger, and it doesn’t matter which port you charge from when charging your HP Elite x2, so long as you’re charging it alone.

What happens when you charge two devices at the same time with this UGREEN charger is that there is a 25W and 20W split of power between the two USB-C ports. So, when charging two devices simultaneously, you may not be able to charge your HP Elite x2, but you can fast charge two phones or two tablets, making this charger versatile. With its charging power and this charger featuring GaN, the Nexode 45W is very small and easily portable because it uses a foldable plug. UGREEN 145W 25,000mAh Power Bank

You can use a Power Delivery power bank with the HP Elite x2 since it’s compatible with USB-C PD charging. At this point, many PD power banks on the market are pretty powerful, but this UGREEN 145W power bank is one of the most powerful ones I have reviewed.

This UGREEN power bank has a 145W max output, and the charger has two USB-C and USB-A ports. The USB-C 1 port outputs 100W, C-2 outputs 45W, and USB-A outputs 18W. The most impressive part about this power bank is the power allocation and max output; you can use 100W of Power Delivery via USB-C 1 and 45W from C-2 simultaneously. This makes charging your HP Elite x2 via the C-1 port and another laptop via the C-2 port possible. Also, even if you’re charging three devices simultaneously, this UGREEN power bank’s USB-C 1 port continues to output 100W, while the C-2 and USB-A ports share a 15W output.

This UGREEN power bank also has a 25,000mAh battery capacity, enough to charge the HP Elite x2 to full power about two times if that’s the only device you’re charging it with. Also, I recommend recharging this UGREEN power bank with a 60W PD wall charger or higher and using the C-1 port to recharge it to get the fastest recharge speed.

You can also recharge this power bank via the USB-C 2 port, but it has a 45W recharge limit. Find out how the UGREEN 145W 25,000mAh Power Bank stands out by reading my review or watching the video review.

Powdeom 150W Mini Power Station

If you want to use the original charger that came with your HP Elite x2 but at the same time you want to use a portable charger, then you have to use a power station to charge your HP Elite x2. The Powdeom 150W mini power station is not large or overly priced and still has decent power. The unit does have a 150W max output via its single AC outlet, and that AC outlet is what you can use to power your HP Elite x2’s original charger. This Powdeom power station also has a 60W Power Delivery USB-C port that you can use to charge your HP Elite x2.

Baseus Blade 100W PD Power Bank

Another power bank I recommend for charging your HP Elite x2 is this Baseus Blade 100W power bank. This Baseus power bank has a 100W Power Delivery output and two USB-C ports you can choose from to use the 100W PD output. There are also two USB-A Quick Charge ports on the power bank. This charger has a screen at the top that shows the voltage and amperage; not many power banks have this, so you can see the charging speed at which your HP Elite x2 is being charged. Baseus 160W Car Charger

With the HP Elite x2 being USB-C chargeable, you can also charge the laptop via a car charger. The Baseus 160W car charger, as powerful and expensive as it sounds, isn’t that high priced, yet it has a max output of 160W. This Basues car charger features two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. You can use the total 160W max output if the car socket that you have the car charger plugged into is powerful enough. C-1 can output 100W of Power Delivery, the port you want to charge your HP Elite x2, while the C-2 and USB-A ports output 30W.

This car charger comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. Learn about the high-power efficiency of the Baseus 160W Car Charger in my detailed review article or through my video review.
