Best Chargers for Mi Notebook Air 13.3 / Mi Notebook Air 12.5 / Mi Notebook Pro

(Last Updated On: September 10, 2018)

If there’s one thing that’s making it more convenient to own laptops these days it is that they’re starting to use Power Delivery more. The great part about laptops becoming Power Delivery compatible is that you have more versatile ways of changing them. As you can then use Power Delivery power banks, wall chargers and even car chargers that make use of the charging tech, so doors open up and you don’t always have to rely on a charging brick to charge your laptop.

Even though the Xiaomi brand isn’t the most popular in the US, in quite a lot of other counties many people use their products because they’re more accessible to get and the quality of Xiaomi products are actually quite nice. They’re basically the Apple of China, to put it simply. One of the best parts about Xiaomi is their laptops as they have some great specs and of course, what we’re going to be talking about in this guide, is their compatibility with Power Delivery.

The Mi Notebook Air 13.3, Notebook 12.5 and Mi Notebook Pro are all compatible with Power Delivery so you can have a better charging experience with all of them. That said, you have to be careful about which Power Delivery charger you choose on the market as even a 30W Power Delivery charger will not charge any of them at a fast charging speed. That’s why we’re covering Power Delivery chargers that feature 45W of charging power or more, so you get the best-charging speed with the laptop no matter what type of a charger you’re using.

Aukey 60W USB-C Power Delivery Charging Station

For the most part, if you want a more powerful Power Delivery charger, there aren’t many walls charger that features 45W charging speeds, so that’s why we just going to just straight into desktop charging stations. These are much like wall chargers, but they have more ports and they use a power cord, instead of a built-in AC Adapter. So they can actually be better because you have more options of where you want to place the charger and have it closer to you.

For the first one, this is Aukey’s 3-port charging station. The USB-C Power Devilery port on this charger has a 60W charging speed, which is great because 60W of charging power can charge the Mi Notebook Air and Mi Note Pro closer to their max charging speed. The other two ports are USB-A ports that both share a 5V/2.4A (12W) charging speed. The max output of this charging station is 72W, so you can use the max power of all the ports at the same time.

There are also three USB-A ports that all share a 12W charging speed, so the USB-A charging isn’t very impressive if you’re charging multiple devices at once with them. Jackery 45W SuperCharge 26,800mAh Power Delivery Portable Charger

One of the greatest benefits of Power Delivery is that it’s used quite widely with portable chargers and so you can make use of power banks with your laptop. So for the first Power Delivery portable charger that we’re recommending, it’s Jackery’s SuperCharge power bank. The power capacity of this charger is 26,800mAh so it’s a very high capacity power bank, and so it can charge the Mi Notebook Air with its 5,400mAh battery to its full power about three times. The Notebook Pro with its 8,000mAh battery can charge to its full power about 2 times.

So even though the full power recharges aren’t in the double digits, charging a laptop to full power more than once is substantial as they already use large batteries to be powered from.

On the charging side, this power bank makes use of two ports. The USB-C Power Delivery port has a 45W charging speed. The USB-A port makes use of Quick Charge that can fast charge Quick Charge compatible smartphones at their max charging speed.

The great thing about getting this power bank that makes it worth getting than other Power Delivery portable chargers is that it comes with a 45W Power Delivery wall charger that you can use to recharge the power bank at its max charging speed. You can also use the wall charger to charge either the Mi Notebook Air or Mi Notebook Pro directly with the charger.

iMuto 45W 20,100mAh Power Delivery Portable Charger

One other Power Delivery portable charger that has a 45W charging speed is this iMuto power bank. The charger does have quite a bit lower capacity than the previous Jackery SuperCharge as it has a 20,100mAh power capacity. So you can expect about one full charge less than what the Jackery power bank is capable of.

There are also two ports to charge from with this power bank, One if the USB-C Power Delivery port with a 45W charging speed, the USB-A port uses Quick Charge.

There are two ways to recharge this iMuto power bank, one is the USB-C Power Delivery port that you can use to recharge the power bank at Power Delivery speeds. Or you can use the Micro-USB port to recharge the power bank at 5V/2.0A. Of course, the USB-C port is the fastest way to recharge the power bank, but this one does not come with a Power Delivery wall charger, so you have to purchase one separately. Regardless, we still think that it’s better to recharge the power bank with the USB-C port even if you’re not using a USB-C Power Delivery wall charger with it as it’ll still provide a faster charging speed so long as you’re using a 2.4 Amp wall charger or higher.
