Best Chargers for HP Chromebook x2 11

(Last Updated On: December 7, 2021)

Mini 2 in 1 laptops aren’t new to the market, but they’re devices you want to watch because you get the best of both worlds of choosing between a laptop or tablet form factor. There aren’t too many easily convertible laptops that use a type cover keyboard. However, the newest addition to this space is the HP Chromebook x2 11. The Chromebook x2 11 offers a solid build quality with it being made of Aluminum and an easy user experience with the inclusion of a type cover and pen with the device.

Quality specs don’t just stop at the build; the Chromebook x2 11 even has a 2k display with a 2160 x 1440p resolution; even though it may be an IPS panel, it still looks phenomenal with max brightness coming in at 400 nits; you get all these specs on an 11-inch screen.

Also, when it comes to internal specs for performance, the Chromebook x2 11 does well, but other higher-tier 2 in 1 laptop may deliver more such as Microsoft’s Surface Go. The Chromebook features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c processor and 8GB of RAM. Whether you’re a heavy user or a light user, there is no doubt that You’re likely to be portable with the Chromebook x2 11, and thankfully, if you ever need to charge it, you have access to two USB-C Power Delivery ports. Included in the box with the Chromebook x2 11 is a 45W Type-C charger, but if you want a charger with more ports, or an entirely different type of charger such as a portable or car charger, then take a look at this guide for better alternatives.

SAIL01 65W Dual GaN USB-C Power Delivery Wall Charger

When purchasing a replacement charger for your HP Chromebook x2 11, you have to ensure that you’re getting a charger with a 45W Power Delivery output. Anything lower than 45W, and your Chromebook may charge slowly or not charge.

This first charger that we’re recommending, the SAIL01 charger, has a 65W max output and features two USB-C Power Delivery ports. There’s a USB-C 1 and a USB-C 2 port, with USB-C 2 being the primary port you’ll want to use to charge your Chromebook. When charging alone, USB-C 2 can output 65W, charging your Chromebook x2 11.

What’s even better is that even when charging two devices simultaneously, such as charging a phone from USB-C 1 and your Chromebook from USB-C 2, USB-C 2 will output 45W. As a result, you still charge your Chromebook at its max charging speed when charging two devices. You may also fast charge a phone because USB-C 1 has an 18W charge rate. One other changing feature is that USB-C 2 has Programmable Power Supply (PPS) that can charge certain smartphones faster, such a the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, newer model OnePlus phones, or the Google Pixel 6.

The SAIL01 charger features GaN that makes the charger very small, with just a length/width of 2 inches and a thickness of 1 inch. Most importantly, a 3-foot USB-C to USB-C cable is included in the box that you can use to start charging your Chromebook x2 11 right out of the box.

UGREEN 100W 4-Port Desktop Charger

This UGREEN desktop charger is the charger we’re talking about when we say that you may be looking for more than charging a single device and searching for even more charging power. This UGREEN charger has three USB-C Power Delivery ports and one USB-A Quick Charge port. The best part is that the charger has a 100W max output shared between all the ports, and you can use the 100W of Power Delivery if you’re only charging a single device via USB-C 1.

Of course, 100W is more than charging the Chromebook x2 11 at max power, and you can even charge your Chromebook while charging another laptop via USB-C 1 and USB-C 2 because both ports will output 45W.

Charging four devices simultaneously still allow you to charge your Chromebook x2 11 because USB-C 2 outputs 45W, USB-C 2 outputs 30W, and the USB-C 3 and USB-A port will output 10W. So no matter what, you’re always able to charge your Chromebook. That can be more reliable than a simple wall charger, especially if you need to fast charge many devices simultaneously.

Included in the box with the desktop charger is a power cord, and the use of a power cord rather than a built-in AC plug can be better because you have more freedom on where to place the charger.

Baseus 100W USB-C Powe Delivery Wall Charger

Going back to a single port charger contradicts us recommending the UGREEN desktop charger, but this guide is all about different needs.

This Baseus 1-port wall charger has a 100W output like the UGREEN charger; of course, the central part is that you can only charge a single device. That said, as unreliable as it is to only charges a single device, this Baseus charger can be deemed a universal charger for you because it can charge your Chromebook x2 11, and it can also charge any other USB-C chargeable device you have; such as another laptop, tablet, smartphone, earbuds case that uses USB-C for charging and any other USB-C chargeable device.

The best part is that this charger has a wall charger form factor, and with the use of GaN, you get a 100W charger with a length of 2.6 inches. Included in the box is a 4-foot USB-C to USB-C cable.

RAVPower 30,000mAh 90W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank

You should consider owning a power bank if you have a Chromebook x2 11 because it’s such a portable device and an easily accessible one for charging using USB-C. This first power bank we’re recommending is a RAVPower portable charger, and we know, if you’ve heard of them, they did get kicked off of Amazon for paying for reviews. Even though we disagree with their review tactics, we have to say that RAVPower products are still quality and worth recommending.

Especially this 30,000mAh power bank from RAVPower has a 90W USB-C Power Delivery port. Firstly, the 30,0000mAh capacity can charge the Chromebook x2 11 to full power about 2.5 times, but you may get less depending on if you’re using the Chromebook or not. This much power capacity can also charge other devices to full power simultaneously.

Charging features are minimal but very powerful on this RAVPower portable charger because it only has a USB-C and USB-A port. The USB-C PD port has a 90W charge rate if you’re only charging a single device that can charge most USB-C devices. Even charging two devices simultaneously results in the USB-C PD port dropping to a still high 65W, while you can also fast charge Android smartphones via the USB-A Quick Charge port.

Recharging the power bank is just as good as the output because you recharge the power bank at 65W with a 65W Power Delivery wall charger, but you must provide your own wall charger because the charger does not come with one. The box includes at least a USB-C to USB-C cable, though.

Baseus 65W 20,000mAh USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank

This Baseus portable charger goes lower on the power capacity and charging power. However, it’s still worth looking into because it has a 20,0000mAh power capacity and a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port. A 20,000mAh capacity can get your Chromebook back to full power about 1.5 times.

Charging power is plentiful, with one USB-C Power Delivery port and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. If you’re charging from solely the USB-C port, you’re able to receive 65W; Charge multiple devices from the power bank, and get 45W from the USB-C port.

Recharging is also fast, with the power bank can recharge at 60W via the USB-C Power Delivery port, or you can restore at 18W via the Micro-USB input port. So we recommend using the USB-C port for recharging, but it doesn’t come with a PD wall charger. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C cable, though.

Fanttik 20,000mAh Portable Jump-Starter with 65W Power Delivery

A recent power bank review that we did while writing this guide is a review for the Fanttik portable jump-starter power bank. A portable jump-starter is a strange type of charger to recommend for charging the Chromebook x2 11, but it’s due to its usage of a powerful USB-C port. Most portable jump starters don’t have powerful charging ports as they’re mainly meant for jump-starting a vehicle when you need to. This Fanttik jump-starter does have a powerful peak current of 2000 Amps that works with most vehicles.

However, the additional reason to get this Fanttik portable charger is that it has a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port. Not many portable jump-starters have such powerful charging ports. The power bank also has a USB-A Quick Charge port. You can even recharge the power bank at 65W.

The box includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-C to USB-A cable, and a jumper cable adapter. So if you need a jump-starting power bank and still want fast charging available for your devices, this Fanttik power bank is a good choice.

The Chromebook x2 11 is a portable device; you can even have the type cover and pen magnetically attached and can still easily take it anywhere.
