Best Chargers for Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, Ultra in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 16, 2024)

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S series, particularly the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, has significantly elevated its tablet offerings. The previous Galaxy Tab S7 was remarkable, rivaling and sometimes surpassing Apple’s iPad in specifications. This year, Samsung introduced three models in the Galaxy Tab S8 series: the standard Tab S8, the Tab S8 Plus, and the high-end Tab S8 Ultra.

Each model in the Tab S8 series boasts impressive specs. However, the top-tier Tab S8 Ultra is only necessary if you need its massive 14.6-inch screen, increased RAM, and a larger battery for its higher power demands. All Tab S8 models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU and feature displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard Tab S8 has an 11-inch screen, an 8,000mAh battery, and offers either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The Tab S8 Plus features a 12.4-inch screen, a 10,090mAh battery, and the same RAM options. The Tab S8 Ultra stands out with its 14.6-inch screen, up to 16GB of RAM, and an 11,200mAh battery.

Regardless of the model, the Galaxy Tab S8 series promises exceptionally fast performance, which translates to high power consumption. All models support 45W fast charging. However, a charger is not included in the box. In our guide, we discuss the chargers that are best suited for the Galaxy Tab S8 series.

VOLTME 100W 3 Port Charger

This VOLTME charger may have too much power that you’re looking for, but it does feature a 45W PPS super fast charging speed from the USB-C 1 and USB-C 2 ports; however, that is only possible if you’re charging your Galaxy Tab S8 alone from either of the ports. PPS super fast charging is lost when charging multiple devices simultaneously. You can still fast charge your Tab S8 when charging two devices; in that case, I recommend charging your Galaxy Tab S8 from USB-C 2 while charging the other device from USB-C 1.

Charging three devices simultaneously results in the USB-C 1 port outputting 65W, while the USB-C 2 and the USB-A ports output 12W. Read my review article or watch my video review on the VOLTME 100W 3 Port Charger.

UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 Port Charger

If you’re looking for a simple but powerful charger that can super fast charge your Tab S8 and fast charge it when charging another device, this UGREEN Nexode 45W charger can do that. Charging your Tab S8 alone can super fast charge at 45W. However, when charging two devices, PPS is lost, as the power split becomes 20W and 25W of Power Delivery from the USB-C ports.

So when charging two devices simultaneously, you can still fast charge your Galaxy Tab S8 while also fast charging another tablet or a phone. Single port charging also enables you to charge most USB-C chargeable laptops. Discover the UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 Port Charger in my comprehensive review article or video review.

Unitek 100W 4 Port Charger

One of the more affordable 100W four-port chargers I’ve reviewed is this Unitek 100W charger. The charger has three USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. You can charge your Galaxy Tab S8 at 45W from USB-C 1 or USB-C 2 ports. The PPS charge rate is lost when charging more than one device. Also, when it comes to single device charging from C-1 and C-2, they can both output 100W of Power Delivery.

The main reason to get this charger is not only because you’re able to super fast charge your Tab S8 when charging it alone; it’s also because you can at least fast charge your Tab S8 from the USB-C 3 port that can output 20W when charging three devices at the same time. Also, you can still fast charge your Galaxy Tab S8 from the USB-C 2 port when charging four devices. Explore the Unitek 100W 4 Port Charger in my detailed review article or video review.

UGREEN 100W GaN 4-Port Power Delivery Wall Charger

If you’re searching for a wall charger that goes all out with the number of ports and the charging power it delivers, then this UGREEN wall charger is it. This charger has four ports total, with three USB-C Power Delivery ports and one USB-A port; the charger has a 100W max output shared between the ports.

You can use the total 100W if you’re solely charging from USB-C 1 while charging from USB-C 1 and USB-C 2 simultaneously gives you a 65W and 30W power split. Even charging four devices simultaneously gives you enough power to fast charge the Galaxy Tab S8 and a phone, with USB-C 1 outputting 45W, USB-C 2 30W,  and USB-C 3, and the USB-A port will output 10W when charging four devices. KOVOL 4-Port 120W Power Delivery Desktop Charger

If you want more flexibility for the easier placement of your charger, we recommend going for a desktop charger. Desktop chargers use a power cord instead of a built-in AC adapter.

This KOVOL charger has a similar charging output to the previous UGREEN charger we mentioned, so that we won’t investigate its charging power. However, it has a bit more energy as the charger has a 120W max output, which lets you utilize even more power when charging four devices simultaneously.

With its 120W max output, USB-C 1 outputs 65W, USB-C 1 20W, and two USB-A ports output 18W; with all these simultaneously outputs, you can fast charge your Galaxy Tab S8 via USB-C 1 and fast charge three phones or tablets from USB-C 2 and the two USB-A ports. In my review article, find out more about the KOVOL 4-Port 120W Power Delivery Desktop Charger.

Baseus 20,000mAh 65W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank

Portable charging is a must if you’re on the go with the Galaxy Tab S8. Sure, all the models of the Tab S8 have large batteries, but the tablet overall is a powerhouse when it comes to consuming power, and that’s one of the main reasons they have such massive batteries in the first place.

When getting a power bank for the Tab S8, two main things to know are that it should feature fast charging and a high enough power capacity to charge the tablet at least once. This Baseus power bank can do just that with its 20,000mAh power capacity that can deliver one full power recharge to any model of the Tab S8, and you may end up with some excess capacity when it comes to charging the base Tab S8 and the Tab S8 Plus. However, we think it will take nearly all of the 20,000mAh capacity to charge up the top-tier Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

Charging power is excellent as the power bank has a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. If you’re charging two or more devices, the USB-C PD port lowers its charging speed to 45W, which is still enough to fast charge the Tab S8. You can recharge the power bank at 60W with a 60W PD wall charger, but the power bank does not come with one. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable. See my full review article for insights on the Baseus 20,000mAh 65W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank.

INIU B63 65W 25,000mAh Power Bank

This INIU 65W power bank is similar to the previous Baseus power bank I recommended, with this power bank also having a 65W Power Delivery USB-C port. The 65W USB-C port also features a 45W PPS charge rate when charging a single device at a time, so charging your Tab S8 no matter where you are with a power bank can be handy. The other two ports on this power bank are 30W PD USB-C and 22.5W USB-A Quick Charge ports.

The recharging speed of the power bank is 45W via the 65W USB-C port. Also, the 25,000mAh capacity of this INIU power bank can charge either the Galaxy Tab S8 or Tab S8 Plus models to full power, at least if that’s the only device you’re charging with this power bank. The box includes a USB-C to USB-C and a USB-C to USB-A charging cable; you must provide your wall charger. Check out my in-depth analysis of the INIU B63 65W 25,000mAh Power Bank in my review article or video review.

iWalk LinkPod USB-C Mini Power Bank

Recommending this iWalk LinkPod USB-C mini power bank is odd, considering it’s small and only has a 4,800mAh battery capacity. So, this power bank won’t be able to charge your Tab S8 to full power, but it’s great if you need extra battery power for your Tab S8. Also, the charging from the USB-C connector on this power bank is only 18W, so it’ll fast charge your Galaxy tablet, but it won’t super fast charge it. The good news is that you won’t need a charging cable with the power bank at all because you charge your devices from the USB-C connector, and you can recharge it via the USB-C connector, too, by simply plugging it into a USB-C port on a wall charger. It does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable, though.

Crave PowerPack 50,000mAh USB-C PD Power Bank

Getting this Crave PowerPack might seem too much, as the power bank has a massive 50,000mAh power capacity. With a 50,000mAh power capacity, you can depend on this power bank for a few days without needing to recharge it, and this makes it perfect for road trips or if you don’t want to bother with having to recharge a power bank every time you charge your Tab S8.

Along with the power capacity, this Crave power bank has four fast charging ports, with two USB-C Power Delivery ports and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. One of the USB-C PD ports has an 18W output, and the other has a 60W output. We recommend using the 60W USB-C port to charge your Galaxy Tab S8.

The box includes a USB-C to USB-C charging cable and a 45W Power Delivery wall charger that can be used to recharge the power bank and your Tab S8 directly. Dive into the features of the Crave PowerPack 50,000mAh USB-C PD Power Bank in my detailed review article.

Baseus 65W USB-C Power Delivery Car Charger

Another type of charger we want to recommend is a car charger from Baseus. This car charger has a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port and a USB-A Quick Charge port. If you’re charging only one device via USB-C, it will output 65W; however, charging two devices simultaneously does cause the USB-C port to drop down from 65W to 45W; this still gets you fast charging your Tab S8 and a phone.

This Baseus car charger also features an Amperage and Voltage meter at the front, which is not precisely needed but is pretty cool to look at. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable. Read my review article on the Baseus 65W USB-C Power Delivery Car Charger.
