Samsung has stepped up their tablet game with their flagship lineup of the Galaxy Tab S series. Last year’s Galaxy Tab S7 blew it out of the water with its specs and how it matched Apple’s iPad and at times exceeded it. This year, Samsung has released the Galaxy Tab S8, with three models, a Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, and a Tab S8 Ultra.
Each of the models offers excellent specs, and getting the top-tier Tab S8 Ultra model isn’t worth it unless you’re looking for the largest 14.6-inch screen size, along with more RAM and a larger battery to accommodate its higher power usage. Each of the Tab S8 models uses the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, and they all have the same 120Hz refresh rate display.
The regular Tab S8 has an 11-inch screen with an 8,000mAh battery, and you get the choice of having 8GB or 12GB of RAM, while the Tab S8 Ultra has a 12.4-inch screen and has a 10,090mAh battery and the same selection of 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Then as we mentioned, The Tab S8 Ultra is comically large at 14.6 inches, with up to 16GB of RAM, and has a battery size of 11,200mAh.
No matter what model of the Galaxy Tab S8 you get, you’re going to be getting blazing fast performance, which means high power usage. All Tab S8 models are compatible with 45W fast charging. Unfortunately, you don’t get a charger in the box; that’s why in his guide, we’re covering chargers that you should use for the Galaxy Tab S8.
Baseus 100W GaN 1-Port Power Delivery Wall Charger
We’re starting this guide with a simple but powerful wall charger, which would be this Baseus wall charger. The charger only has a single port, so you can only charge a single device, but the port has a 100W max output. You can charge your Galaxy Tab S8 at its max speed with this Baseus charger.
The port also features a Programmable Power Supply (PPS) compatible with newer Samsung phones such as the Galaxy S20, S21, and the S22 series. PPS can charge those phones at either 25W or 45W. Considering that this charger has a max output of 100W, it’s still tiny, with its dimensions being no larger than 2 inches, and it has a foldable plug for easier portability.
Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable.

SAIL01 65W SAIL01 Dual USB-C Power Delivery Wall Charger
The SAIL01 wall charger is a balanced choice. This charger has two USB-C Power Delivery ports. USB-C 1 has the lower 18W output that can still be used to charge the Galaxy Tab S8, but it’s much better to opt to use the USB-C 2 port. USB-C 2 has a 65W output if you’re only charging a single device with this charger, but if you’re charging two devices simultaneously, SUB-C 2 will output 45W. USB-C 2 also features PPS up to 25W.
Even if you’re charging two devices simultaneously, USB-C 1 will always output 18W, which still lets you fast charge a phone via USB-C 1 and quick charge your Tab S8 via USB-C 2. The SAIL01 wall charger does use GaN, which makes the charger incredibly small with just a length and width of 2 inches and a thickness of 1 inch. Included in the box is a 3.3-foot USB-C to USB-C charging cable.

UGREEN 100W GaN 4-Port Power Delivery Wall Charger
If you’re searching for a wall charger that goes all out with the number of ports it has, and the charging power it delivers, then this UGREEN wall charger is it. This charger has four ports total, with three USB-C Power Delivery ports and one USB-A port; the charger has a 100W max output shared between the ports.
You can use the total 100W if you’re solely charging from USB-C 1, while charging from USB-C 1 and USB-C 2 at the same time gives you a 65W and 30W power split. Even charging four devices simultaneously gives you enough power to fast charge the Galaxy Tab S8 and a phone, with USB-C 1 outputting 45W, USB-C 2 30W, and USB-C 3, and the USB-A port will output 10W when charging four devices.

KOVOL 4-Port 120W Power Delivery Desktop Charger
If you want to have more flexibility for the easier placement of your charger, we recommend going for a desktop charger. Desktop chargers use a power cord instead of a built-in AC adapter.
This KOVOL charger has a very similar charging output to the previous UGREEN charger that we mentioned, so we won’t go into the details of its charging power. However, it does have a bit more energy as the charger has a 120W max output, and this lets you utilize even more power when charging four devices simultaneously.
With its 120W max output USB-C 1 outputs 65W, USB-C 1 20W, and two USB-A ports output 18W; with all these simultaneously outputs, you can fast charge your Galaxy Tab S8 via USB-C 1 and fast charge three phones or tablets from USB-C 2 and the two USB-A ports.

Baseus 20,000mAh 65W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank
Portable charging is a must if you’re on the go with the Galaxy Tab S8. Sure, all the models of the Tab S8 have large batteries, but the tablet overall is a powerhouse when it comes to consuming power, and that’s one of the main reasons why they have such massive batteries in the first place.
Two main things to know when getting a power bank for the Tab S8 is that it should feature fast charging and a high enough power capacity that can charge up the tablet at least once. This Baseus power bank can do just that with its 20,000mAh power capacity that can deliver one full power recharge to any model of the Tab S8, and you may end up with some excess capacity when it comes to charging the base Tab S8 and the Tab S8 Plus. However, we think it’s going to take nearly all of the 20,000mAh capacity to charge up the top-tier Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
Charging power is excellent as the power bank has a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. If you’re charging two devices or more, then the USB-C PD port lowers its charging speed to 45W, still enough to fast charge the Tab S8. You can recharge the power bank at 60W with a 60W PD wall charger, but the power bank does not come with one. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable.

NitroCharge Pro 25,600mAh 100W Power Delivery Power Bank
This NitroCharge Pro has a 25,600mAh power capacity, so even higher than the Baseus power bank. A 25,600mAh capacity can get all the Tab S8 models to full power once, and you will have some spare capacity to use later or to charge other devices.
There are four ways to charge from the power bank, and that includes two USB-C Power Delivery ports, one USB-A Quick Charge port, and the wireless charging pad at the top of the power bank. One USB-C port has a 100W output, while the other USB-C port has a 45W output. So you can use either USB-C port to charge your Galaxy Tab S8, and the 45W USB-C PD port does feature PPS.
The power bank does feature 15W fast wireless charging, so you quick charge the new Galaxy S22 at a faster speed or other newer model Samsung phones, too.

Crave PowerPack 50,000mAh USB-C PD Power Bank
Getting this Crave PowerPack might seem like a bit too much, as the power bank has a massive 50,000mAh power capacity. With a 50,000mAh power capacity, you can depend on this power bank for a few days without needing to recharge it, and this makes it perfect for road trips or if you don’t want to bother with having to recharge a power bank every time you charge your Tab S8.
Along with the power capacity, this Crave power bank has four fast charging ports, with two USB-C Power Delivery ports and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. One of the USB-C PD ports has an 18W output, and the other has a 60W output. We recommend using the 60W USB-C port for charging your Galaxy Tab S8.
Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable and a 45W Power Delivery wall charger that can be used to recharge the power bank and can also be used to recharge your Tab S8 directly.

Baseus 65W USB-C Power Delivery Car Charger
One other type of charger we want to recommend is a car charger, and this one comes from Baseus. This car charger has a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port and a USB-A Quick Charge port. If you’re charging only one device via USB-C, it will output 65W; however, charging two devices simultaneously does cause the USB-C port to drop down from 65W to 45W; this still gets you fast charging your Tab S8 and a phone.
This Baseus car charger also features an Amerpage and Voltage meter at the front, which is not exactly needed but pretty cool to look at. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable.
