Even though Apple and Samsung are the flagship brands that most people pay attention to every year when it comes to their new devices releasing, however, in recent years, Microsoft has stepped up their game with their Surface lineup of devices, especially with the Surface Pro, Surface Go, and Surface Laptop. Those portable laptops or tablet/laptop hybrids can compete with other, more prominent brands that may seem more trendy, but Microsoft has bridged the gap.
This is the case with the Surface Laptop Studio, a 3 in 1 computer that does indeed have three different form factors with it being a laptop, tablet, and form factor that enables you to snap the display and put it over the keyboard; this would be called the “Studio” mode. Now, the Surface Laptop Studio is not for everyone, but it can be, and that’s because it has the power to back it up. Even the lowest tier model of the Surface features 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, and Intel Iris X integrated graphics. In contrast, higher-tier models feature an Intel i7 processor, 32GB of RAM, 1TB or 2TB SSD, and an NVIDIA RTX 3050Ti. Of course, one of the most critical software updates that most portable devices are now using is a higher refresh rate display, with the Surface Laptop Studio featuring a 120Hz display.
One of the parts that the Surface Laptop Studio lacks is connectivity options as it only has two USB-C ports and a Surface connect port. The laptop comes with a Surface connect charger. Still, if you’re not a fan of always using the Surface Connect port for charging and want a more accessible way to charge, in this guide, we’ll be covering USB-C chargers that may be better to charge the Surface Laptop Studio.
Baseus 100W USB-C Power Delivery Wall Charger
When it comes to charging your Surface Laptop Studio via USB-C, it’s best to get a charger that has a 65W Power Delivery charge rate or higher. You can go with lower power output, but it will take longer to charge the Surface. This Baseus charger is a minimal but powerful PD wall charger because it has a single USB-C port with 100W power output.
A 100W Power Delivery charge rate can charge the Surface Laptop Studio at its max charging speed. However, the flaw is that you can only charge a single device because it only has one port. A 100W PD charge rate can cover a wide range of devices, so getting this Baseus wall charger ensures that you’re able to charge any other portable USB-C devices that you own or will own in the future.
Even with its high power output, the Baseus charger has a length of 4.5 inches, a width of 3.7 inches, and a thickness of 1.1 inches. Along with a foldable plug, there are no portability issues. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C cable.

UGREEN 100W 4-Port USB-C Power Delivery Wall Charger
If you still want a wall charger that is able to charge your Surface Laptop Studio at its max charging speed via USB-C and want one with multiple ports, this UGREEN charger may be a better choice. That said, it does come at a higher price.
This UGREEN charger has four ports, with two USB-C Power Delivery ports and two USB-A ports. The max output of the charger is 100W, and you’re able to use the total 100W output if you’re charging a single device via USB-C 1. If you are charging two devices, one via USB-C 1 and one via USB-C 2 results in a 65W and 30W power split.
Using all four ports simultaneously results in power being split even more, with USB-C 1 having a 45W output, USB-C 2 outputs 30W, and the two USB-A ports will output 10W. If you’re charging from the USB-A ports alone or with fewer devices charging, they can output Quick Charge speeds.
It’s best to stick to using USB-C 1 when charging your Surface Laptop Studio with this UGREEN charger as it will always have a higher output.

SAIL01 65W Dual GaN USB-C Power Delivery Wall Charger
Going a little lower on the power is also an option if you don’t want to spend as much and want a smaller charger. The SAIL01 wall charger offers high charging power, is very small in size, and comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable that lets you start using the charger right out of the box.
SAIL01 features two USB-C Power Delivery ports, with USB-C 2 having a higher power output of 65W. Charging two devices simultaneously results in USB-C 2 lowering its charge rate to 45W, while USB-C 1 still outputs 18W. You can still charge your Surface Laptop Studio when charging two devices, but your speed will be a little slower. At the same time, you can still fast charge a phone via USB-C 1 when charging your Surface.
Also, if you own a Samsung Galaxy S20 or Galaxy S21, you’re able to Super fast charge your phone at 25W via USB-C 2. The SAIL01 Power Delivery wall charger is tiny with a length/width of just 2 inches and a thickness of 1 inch.

RAVPower 30,000mAh 90W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank
As easy as it is to be portable with the Surface Laptop Studio, you may want to consider having a power bank to charge it with if you’re someone that plans to travel with it. This RAVPower portable charger is one of the best to get for any USB-C laptop as the power bank has a 30,000mAh power capacity and a 90W USB-C Power Delivery port. The 30,000mAh power capacity is able to charge the Surface Laptop Studio to full power at least; you may get close to another full charge depending on if you’re using the Surface or not.
A 90W Power Delivery output is a lot of power that can charge the Surface at its max charging speed no matter where you are. The USB-A port does feature Quick Charge for Android smartphones, and if you’re charging two devices simultaneously, the USB-C port does lower its charge rate from 90W to 65W. Considering this is a power bank, that’s still a great deal of power for charging.
The USB-C PD port is also used to recharge the power bank and enables the power bank to be recharged at 60W; however, you must provide your 60W or higher Power Delivery wall charger. The power bank only includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, not a wall charger.

Baseus 20,000mAh 65W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank
Going lower on the power capacity and the charging power, there’s this Baseus power bank. The charger has a 20,000mAh power capacity, so you will likely only fair one full single charge to your Surface Laptop, and most might think you’d get more. Still, you have to consider that power is lost during charging due to heat and that your laptop uses power while you’re charging and using it. Still, a 20,000mAh power capacity is pretty good for notebooks.
The power bank has one USB-C Power Delivery port, two USB-A Quick Charge ports. The USB-C port has a 65W Power Delivery charge rate that can charge your Surface Laptop Studio at great speed while you’re out and about.
You can also recharge the power bank at 60W via a 60W or higher Power Delivery wall charger.

MAXOAK 45W USB-C PD Power Bank with 100W AC Outlet
You may want to consider this MAXOAK portable power station power bank, which is quite a bit larger than your regular power bank because it uses an AC outlet. The MAXOAK power bank has a 20,000mAh power capacity, but the main highlight of the charger is its use of a 45W USB-C Power Delivery port and a 100W AC Outlet.
You can use a USB-C port to charge your Surface Laptop Studio, but if you need more power, you can plug in a more powerful USB-C Power Delivery wall charger via the USB-C port. You may even plug in a Surface Connect charger to the AC outlet on this power bank if you want to charge via the Surface Connect port on the Surface Laptop Studio.
The other two ports are USB-A ports that both feature Quick Charge for fast charging Android smartphones. The power bank includes a 30W USB-C Power Delivery wall charger that can be used to recharge the power bank, and you may use it to charge your Surface directly, although it will charge it slowly. The power bank also comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Once again, though, this MAXOAK power bank is larger and heavier than a regular power bank, and it will not be able to fit into your pocket.
