With USB-C, you get a host of new features such as faster transfer speeds for files, using USB-C as a display port, and you can charge from a USB-C port.
The feature of USB-C Power Delivery charging for the Surface Pro 7 was a significant upgrade in our point of view because it lets you have easier access to charging, rather than just using the Surface Connect port for charging. The Pro 7 does come with a Surface Connect charger, but if you want to use a charger with more ports to charge multiple devices or use different types of chargers, then using the USB-C port is the way to go.

This UGREEN desktop charger is the type that we’re mainly talking about when we say if you’re looking for “more” as this UGREEN charger has four ports, with three USB-C Power Delivery ports and one USB-A port. The charger has a max output of 100W, and you can use the total 100W if you’re charging a single device. You can also charge from USB-C 1 and USB-C 2 simultaneously, and both ports will output 45W; this allows you to charge two Surface Pro 7 laptops, or you can charge a Pro 7 and have another laptop charging from either USB-C port.
Charging from all four ports simultaneously still yields excellent results because USB-C 1 can output 45W, USB-C 2 30W, USB-C 3 10.5W, and the USB-A port will output 10.5W. We did mention how getting a USB-C charger for your Surface Pro 7 is an excellent way to choose a charger with more than one port so you can charge multiple devices simultaneously. We had to add this Baseus charger because it may have a single USB-C port, but it has a 100W output. The Surface Pro 7 has very easy portability because it’s mainly a tablet that can be transitioned into a laptop with a type cover. The type cover can fold onto the Pro 7, still making it very lightweight; you’ll find you can work with it anywhere. Car chargers are just one more product that you can rely on when it comes to USB-C charging, as commuting and charging your Surface could be something you may have to do, or it can be helpful for road trips.
