Best Multi USB Charging Stations

(Last Updated On: April 12, 2018)

A USB wall charger is what most of us use to charge our portable devices such as our smartphones, and tablets. It’s a very easily accessible type of charging and most of the new devices that we do purchase come with a wall charger. However, the wall charger that comes with a smartphone or tablet usually have just a single USB-A port and that can be quite limiting. Still, there are wall chargers that you can purchase that feature two to four ports and they still have a built-in AC adapter so they’re still wall chargers.

However, up from a level of wall chargers, there are multi USB charging stations, also known as Desktop chargers. These are basically USB wall chargers, but the reason that they’re called desktop chargers or charging stations is because they feature a lot more ports than just your regular USB wall charger. Charging stations usually have 4 charging ports or more and because of that, it basically is like a station that you can use to charge multiple devices at once.

Since charging stations are such helpful charging electronics, we’ve chosen the best multi-port charging stations so that you can charge many devices at once with lots of power. The chargers within this guide feature both standard charging tech and there are also some that feature fast charging technology such as Quick Charge, USB-C, and Power Delivery.

All Charging Stations Mentioned in this Guide:

[content-egg module=Amazon template=list]

Anker PowerPort 6 USB-A Charging Station

The first USB charging station that we’re going to recommend is from a brand that people purchase from, and that would be from Anker. Anker makes some great charging electronics it shows with their reviews on Amazon and also on our own reviews, too. This PowerPort 6 USB charging station is another charger that joins the group of being a strong product.

There are 6 USB-A ports on this charger, so you are able to charge six devices at once. Each of the ports on this charger has a charging speed of 5V/2.4A. A 2.4A charging speed is basically the standard that all wall chargers and charging stations should have for their USB ports. As most devices are actually able to charge quite quickly. This PowerPort 6 charging station does not feature Quick Charge, though.

However, the max output of this charging station is great with its max output of 12A. So even if you’re charging six devices at once, with the max output of 12A being reached; Each of the ports is still able to output a charging speed of 5V/2.0A. It’s a slightly slower charging speed than what the ports are capable of at their max power.

RAVPower 6-Port Charging Station

There are another two 6-port standard charging stations that we also have to recommend. Both of the chargers are basically like the Anker PowerPort 6 that we first mentioned. That said, we thought it would be good to add some variety rather than just naming a single standard 6-port charging station.

This is RAVPower’s 6-port Desktop charger. So you can charge six devices at once, and each port on here is also able to output a charging speed of 5V/2.4A. The max output of this desktop charger is 12A. Which means that even if you’re using the max output of the charger, each of the ports would still be able to provide a 5V/2.0A charging speed.

This 6-port desktop charger is from a lesser known brand on the market, AllMaybe. That said, this charger is proof that just because it’s from a small brand does not mean that you shouldn’t purchase it. This 6-port desktop charger actually competes very well when you compare it to leading brands.

As each of the ports on this charger also have a charging speed of 5V/2.4A and the max output of 12A is still the same. You still get a LED power indicator with this charger to show that it’s on and ready to use. Best Quick Charge and USB-C Multi-Charging Stations

Quick Charge is one of the most used fast charging technologies. It’s used with lots of Android smartphones and because of that, it’s a very wise decision to use a charger that has the charging tech. Another charging technology that is becoming more common, or rather it’s a standard that’s spreading would be, USB-C. It’s a new connection type that’s being used for new smartphones, tablets and also laptops are starting to use the charging tech.

Along with all that, it comes with Power Delivery too for select devices. So we’ve chosen the best-charging stations that feature Quick Charge and USB-C.

Anker PowerPort Speed 5 Desktop Charger

The first desktop charger with Quick Charge is from Anker, and it’s their PowerPort Speed 5 desktop charger. This charging station features not just one, but two Quick Charge USB-A ports. There are a total of five USB-A ports, with two of them using Quick Charge and the other 3 have a standard charging speed of 5V/2.4A.

The usage of two ports using Quick Charge is something that not many desktop chargers use, but the usefulness of it is very good. That’s because you’re able to charge two Quick Charge compatible smartphones at their max charging speed at the same time. In fact, with the max output for this charger being 63W, you can use a total of four USB-A ports at their max power.

That’s because the two Quick Charge ports used together add up to 36W with each of them providing 18W of power. Then if you were to use two standard ports at the same time, with of each them outputting 12W, that would add up 24W. Then add up the Quick Charge output (36W) and standard output (24W) and you get 60W of charging power being outputted altogether. That’s still not the max output for this charging station.

Of course, if you’re charging just one more device, then the charging power will be split between the ports. Overall, the use of two Quick Charge ports can be very useful if you’re someone that owns a Quick Charge smartphone and also have a family or friend that owns Quick Charge smartphone too. So this way the both of you can charge your devices at their max speed.

Aukey 6-Port Desktop Charging Station with Two Quick Charge ports

This desktop charger is coming from a brand that makes some great charging electronic products, such portable chargers, and car chargers too. This Aukey 6-port charging station is another one that uses two Quick Charge ports. The only difference is that with this charger you get an extra USB-A port.

So you’re able to charge two Quick Charge compatible smartphones at their max charging speed, and there are four USB-A ports that have a charging speed of 5V/2.4A. The max output of this desktop charging station is 60W. So you can use use the two Quick Charge ports and another two standard ports at the same time, at their max power, as that would add up to the max output of 60W.

Still, the devices that you can charge with standard ports may not even charge at 2.4A, because they might have lower max charging speed needs. So in certain circumstances, you can very well charge six devices at once while still charging two Quick Charge compatible smartphones at their max charging speed.

Best Power Delivery Multi Charging Stations

Along with the rise of USB-C, there’s a fast charging technology that’s able to go with it and it’s called Power Delivery. Power Delivery charging is a growing charging technology that is used with a few smartphones, some tablets too, and there are now laptops that are using USB-C Power Delivery. The use of USB-C Power Delivery means that you can practically use the same charger that you use to charge your smartphone to charge your laptop.

Satechi USB-C Power Delivery Charging Station

This Satechi charging station uses Power Delivery along with some other charging ports that also offer some fast charging. The reason that we’re recommending this charger first is basically that it’s a Swiss Army knife when it comes to charging. That’s because there are two standard ports, a Quick Charge port, and the USB-C Power Delivery port which is the main reason that you’re getting this charger.

The Power Delivery USB-C port on this charger is actually more powerful than your average Power Delivery charger that outputs 30W. In this case, this USB-C port is able to output a charging speed of 60W. This is very helpful for charging larger USB-C compatible devices such as the MacBook Air 13-inch laptop that actually has a max charging speed of 60W.

Along with that powerful port, there’s Quick Charge port that you can use to charge a Quick Charge compatible smartphone at its max charging speed. The two standard ports each have a charging speed of 5V/2.4A.

This Tronsmart Desktop charger is a very special charger and that’s because it has five USB-A ports that each feature Quick Charge. The best part is that the max output of this charging station is 90W, so you can use the max power of each port at the same time. The final best multi-charging station on the market is Anker’s PowerPort 10. This is one of the best-charging stations that you could get. It’s doesn’t have any fast charging tech such as USB-C or Quick Charge. What it does have are ten USB-A ports that each have a charging speed of 5V/2.4A. The max output of this charger is 60W. So you can use the max power of five ports at once, which is actually pretty good, and most of the time the device that you can connect to the port likely won’t use the full power of 2.4A.
