Other than smartphones being one of the most portable devices that most people tend to use, laptops are the second device that many people tend to be portable with. Another similarity between phones and laptops is that many laptops now use USB-C ports.
Some laptops can only use USB-C as Thunderbolt ports for displays or connectivity. However, most laptops with USB-C ports can charge from them with USB-C Power Delivery chargers, making charging them much easier as you don’t have to rely on DC chargers with power bricks.
One of the best factors of a USB-C power Delivery laptop is that you can use a Power Delivery power bank. In this case, we’ll cover PD power banks that you can use with the Dell XPS 13, XPS 15, and the new Dell XPS 17. The Dell XPS laptop lineup is one of the most popular on the market as their build is premium with how slim and lightweight their laptops are. To add to that, the specs are top-notch.
With how easily you can take a Dell XPS laptop anywhere, using a USB-C power bank while on the move can sometimes be necessary. However, there are many questions about whether you can charge a Dell XPS laptop with a third-party Power Delivery charger, and the answer is that you can. However, the charger must provide 45W to 60W or more from its Power Delivery port.
Baseus Blade 100W Power Bank
When writing this guide, the Baseus Blade is one of the most popular power banks on the market. The Blade has two USB-C Power Delivery ports and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. Each USB-C port can output 100W of Power Delivery and effectively charge your Dell XPS 13, 15, or 17 laptops at max speed. The USB-A ports can fast charge certain Android phones.
In my testing for the power bank, I found that charging from the USB-C and USB-A ports simultaneously makes the USB-A ports standard charge.
The recharging Baseus Blade power bank is 65W, so using a 65W PD charger or higher is best. Also, the 20,000mAh capacity can charge your Dell XPS laptop to full power at least once.
The design of the Baseus Blade is precisely what it sounds like because the charger has a thin form factor. Also, the screen at the top shows the voltage and amperage when charging a device, which most power banks do not feature.

INIU B63 65W 25,000mAh Power Bank
This INIU power bank has an even higher capacity than the Baseus Blade, with this INIU charger having a 25,000mAh capacity that can charge a Dell XPS laptop to full power about one time, and you can have spare capacity to use later.
The power bank has a 65W USB-C port, a 30W USB-C port, and a 22.5W Quick Charge port. So you can fast charge other devices while you charge your Dell XPS laptop. Recharging is also done at 65W, and I would recommend using a 65W charger to get the maximum recharge rate for the 25,000mAh capacity.
Also, this INIU power bank comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable.

Baseus 65W 20,000mAh Power Bank
This is one other Baseus power bank I wanted to recommend. However, this one has a 65W USB-C Power Delivery port. You’ll still be able to charge your Dell XPS laptop via the USB-C port, but I recommend charging your laptop alone via the USB-C port or just having one other device charge from a USB-A port.
That’s because if you’re charging a single device from the USB-C port, you can use 65W of Power Delivery. Charging from the USB-C port and a USB-A port causes the USB-C port to drop to 45W. Then, charging from the USB-C port and the two USB-A ports makes the USB-C port output 20W.
So, if you want faster charging for your Dell XPS laptop, you should charge it from the USB-C port alone or have just one other device charging.

Excitrus NitroCharge 120W Pro Power Bank
The Excitrus NitroCharge power bank appears a lot in my YouTube video reviews for various wall chargers, and in this case, it can make a great power bank for charging any USB-C laptop. The Excitrus power bank has a 100W USB-C PD port, a 45W USB-C port, an 18W USB-A Quick Charge port, and a 15W wireless charging pad at the top.
In my testing, I could still charge a laptop from the 100W USB-C port while charging another three devices simultaneously. The 25,600mAh battery capacity of this Excitrus power bank can keep your Dell XPS 13, 15, or 17 charged up for a few days.
When it comes to recharging the power bank, it’s very fast because you can also recharge the power bank at 100W, but you will require a 100W Power Delivery wall charger to do so.

Crave PowerPack 50,000mAh 60W Power Delivery Power Bank
We’re covering the Dell XPS lineup since we are talking about charging a laptop with a power bank, not just any laptops. These laptops have bright screens of up to 417 nits for the XPS 13, and you can also get the XPS laptops with a 4K screen.
The screen alone can use a lot of power, and combined with the top-tier specs, you have a laptop that can burn through a lot of power if you’re someone who multi-tasks on their laptop often. That is why even higher-capacity power banks like this Crave PowerPack are better.
The Crave PowerPack portable charger has a huge 50,000mAh power capacity, which is not common for most laptops on the market. With this power capacity, you get nearly a week’s worth of charge for your laptop without needing to recharge the power bank. You can also use the power capacity to charge smartphones a few times and still have a good amount for charging laptops.
This charger also has four powerful charging ports to add to the insanely high power capacity. There are two Power Delivery ports with there being an 18W PD port and the other is a 60W PD port. There are also two USB-A ports that each use Quick Charge.
You can recharge from either of the Power Delivery ports, but of course, it would be better to use the 60W Power Delivery port to recharge from. What’s even better about this power bank is that it comes with a 45W Power Delivery wall charger that you can use to recharge the power bank at its max speed, and you may also use the included 45W PD wall charger to charge your Dell XPS laptop directly.
