Best Power Banks for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 8, 2024)

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was a high-end marvel for its time; even sometime later, the Note 9 is still used by many. The high-end specs of the Note 9 can still pretty much hold till today for most consumers, but what can’t hold up is the battery if you’re using the Note 9 heavily throughout your day. If you constantly run out of power with the Note 9, I’ve chosen power banks that charge the Galaxy Note 9 well.

iWalk USB-C mini Power Bank

The iWalk LinkPod power bank is one of the smallest power banks you can own for the Galaxy Note 9 because the charger has a 4,800mAh battery and uses a USB-C connector directly on it. The 4,800mAh battery is enough to charge the Note 9 to full power at least once or close it. The lower capacity also makes the power bank small, and in my review of the iWalk power bank, I could directly plug the power bank into my Note 9, and the charger had no problems staying plugged in. The USB-C connector on the iWalk power bank has a 20W Power Delivery charging speed, so it can fast charge the Note 9.

You can use the same USB-C connector to recharge the power bank by plugging it directly into a wall charger. There is also a USB-C port on the power bank that can be used for recharging. Catch my detailed video review of the iWalk USB-C mini Power Bank for more insights and hands-on experience.

iWalk LinkPod Y2 Built-in USB-C Cable Power Bank

The iWalk LinkPod Y2 power bank is an upgraded version of the previous version I mentioned, with the Y2 power bank having a built-in USB-C cable that can output 18W of Power Delivery. So you can fast charge your Galaxy Note 9 from the built-in cable on the power bank; also, in my review for the iWalk LinkPod Y2 power bank, I could recharge by plugging the built-in cable into a wall charger. The Y2 power bank has a 9,600mAh battery that can charge the Note 9 to full power at about one time, and you can have spare capacity to use later. There is a USB-C port directly on the power bank that can be used for recharging, too. Don’t miss my video review of the iWalk LinkPod Y2 Power Bank, where I delve into its features and performance.

ROMOSS PEA30 30,000mAh Power Bank

The ROMOSS PEA30 power bank is a good option if you want a high-capacity charger that you can use to charge your Note 9 to full power four times or more because the ROMOSS power bank has a 30,000mAh battery. The ROMOSS power bank has a single USB-C port and two USB-A ports; you can use any port to fast charge your Note 9. For the fastest recharging speed of the 30,000mAh battery, I recommend using the USB-C port to recharge the power bank because, in my review of the ROMOSS PEA30 power bank, I could recharge at 30W via the USB-C port. In contrast, the Micro-USB and Lightning input ports were much slower. Check out my video review of the ROMOSS PEA30 Power Bank for an in-depth look at its high capacity and charging capabilities.

PowerAdd Pro 20W Power Bank

The PowerAdd Pro charger is on the more simple side, but it fits into charging most phones. The PowerAdd power bank has a 10,000mAh battery that can charge the Note 9 to full power at about one time, and you can have spare capacity to use later. The charger also has a 20W Power Delivery USB-C port and a USB-A Quick Charge port; you can use either to fast charge your Galaxy Note 9. During my review of the PowerAdd Pro 20W power bank, I found the slim size of the power bank to be one of the better parts of the charger because it can easily slide into a pocket. Watch my video review of the PowerAdd Pro 20W Power Bank to see how it conveniently fits into your daily life.

UGREEN 20W Magnetic Power Bank

The UGREEN 20W Magnetic power bank is a charger that is more meant for MagSafe-compatible iPhones, at least that is how it’s marketed; that’s because the wireless charging pad on the power bank is magnetic, and MagSafe iPhones can magnetically attach to it. However, in my review of the UGREEN 20W Magnetic power bank, I could magnetically attach my Note 9 to the charging pad because I have a magnetic accessory at the back of my Note 9. So you can technically use the magnetic feature, but you have to attach a magnet to the back of your Note 9.

There is also a 20W Power Delivery USB-C port and a USB-A port that can be used to fast charge the Galaxy Note 9.

Baesus 65W 20,000mAh Power Bank

The Baseus 65W power bank may have too much power, but I recommend the power bank if you want an all-around type of charger that you can use to charge your laptop, tablet, and Galaxy Note 9. The Baseus power bank has a single USB-C port and two USB-A ports; you can use a total of 65W of Power Delivery via the USB-C port when charging one device, 45W when charging two devices, and then the USB-C port will output 20W when charging three devices at the same time. So, the Galaxy Note 9 can still be fast charged from the USB-C port even if you’re charging three devices from the Baseus power bank, and that can’t be said about too many power banks. In my review of the Baseus 65W power bank, I found that I could recharge it at 60W via the USB-C port much faster than the 18W recharge speed from the micro-USB port.

The Baseus power bank does have a 20,000mAh battery capacity that can keep the Note 9 charged up for a few days if it’s the only device you’re charging with the power bank.

Final thoughts about my choice of power banks for Galaxy Note 9

The Galaxy Note 9 is a solid phone that many people use today; yes, there are better phones out there, but the Note 9 was created to last and has come through as one of Samsung’s best products. The charging speed may not be the fastest, especially not in comparison to more modern phones, but it’s acceptable. The power bank you choose for your Note 9 can be on the lower capacity side, like the iWalk power bank, or on the higher capacity side, like the ROMOSS PEA30, if you want power that will last longer.
