Best Power Banks for Razer Phone 2

(Last Updated On: July 28, 2020)

The Razer Phone wasn’t exactly the most known smartphone on the market and that’s really because it was one of the first of its kind. What do we mean by that? Well, it was a Gaming phone and that’s somewhat unheard of in the smartphone market, as most modern smartphones already have some great specs.

That said, the first Razer Phone made us rethink what we believed about current smartphones with it featuring some powerful specs, such as 8GB RAM, two great sounding front-facing speakers, a screen with an optional 120Hz refresh rate that made every other smartphone screen look sluggish and it had a huge battery.

Now there’s a Razer Phone 2 and this is awesome because now we have another smartphone that is focusing on a niche market and that’s what the smartphone market needs, with smartphones now basically being identical.

Well, the great thing about the Razer Phone 2 is that it still holds a lot of the same values of the first one but it’s more universally friendly for the casual person and you’ll feel that it’s a smartphone that’s not only meant for gaming. The back is made of glass so it’s wireless charging compatible and it still features a massive 4,000mAh battery.

So we thought we would also create another guide with the power bank that you should be using for the Razer Phone 2.

Power Banks in this Guide:

EasyAcc MegaCharge 20,000mAh Doubin Power Bank

The first power bank for the Razer Phone 2 that we have to recommend is this EasyAcc MegaCharge power bank. This charger has a 20,000mAh power capacity, so it can be used for charging the Razer Phone to its full power about three times. You can also use the power to charge other devices to full power at the same time, and you can charge quite a few other devices at the same time.

That’s because there are a total of four ports on this power bank.

Three of the ports are USB-A, with one featuring Quick Charge to fast charge the Razer Phone 2. The other two USB-A ports have a standard charging speed of 5V/3.0A. The one output on this power bank is a USB-C port that can be used with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable to charge USB-C compatible devices with its 5V/3.0A charging speed.

Recharging for this MegaCharge portable charger is great as you can use both of its input ports at the same time. One input is a 3A USB-C input port and the other one is a Micro-USB with a 2A input. Once you use them together the recharging speed is 5 Amps and can recharge the power bank within just 4 hours.

Anker PowerCore+ 26800 Quick Charge Portable Charger

This Anker PowerCore+ 26800 portable charger is not only a high capacity power bank, but it’s very high capacity one. That’s because it has a 26,800mAh power capacity so you can charge the larger 4,000mAh battery of the Razer Phone 2, to its full power about 6 times.

Of course, using the power capacity to charge other devices at the same time is going to be possible as there’s so much power to use. Also because there are three ports for you to use.

There are three USB-A output ports. One of the ports makes use of Quick Charge to fast change the Razer Phone and any other Quick Charge compatible smartphones. The other two ports are standard ones with a 5V/2.4A (12W) charging speed. To recharge the power bank you have to use the single Micro-USB input that the power bank has.

Now, it might seem bad that it uses a single Micro-USB input port, but the good news is that the Micro-USB input port on this power bank makes use of Quick Charge. What’s even better is that PowerCore+ comes with a Quick Charge wall charger so you can recharge the power bank at its max charging speed right out of the box.

Since this power bank is part of Anker’s Power Core+ line, it’s made of Aluminum and so the build quality of the charger is great.

RAVPower 20,100mAh Portable Charger with Quick Charge and USB-Cpic-12

Another 20,000mAh portable charger comes from RAVPower. This charger of theirs has a slightly higher capacity of 20,100mAh. It’s useful for charging the Razer Phone to full power about three times if that’s all you’re using to charge with this power bank.

There are a total of three output ports that you can use to charge your devices. Two of the ports are USB-A. One of them features Quick Charge and the other one has a 5V/2.4A charging rate. The one other output port is a USB-C port with a 5V/3.0A charging speed. Many mistakes the USB-C port to features Power Delivery but it does not and that’s because it only has a 15W output of power.

The recharging for this RAVpower portable charger is pretty good as it makes use of a USB-C and Micro-USB input. The only thing is that you can only use a single input at a time.

We recommend using the Micro-USB input to recharge the power bank with a Quick Charge wall charger as it’s Quick Charge compatible and therefore can recharge the power bank at 18W. Rather than the USB-C input that has a recharge rate of 15W.

At the same time, with the Razer Phone’s larger battery and plenty of consumption power, if you’re gaming on the phone quite a bit such as playing Fortnite, then you’re going to want a lot of power to play with.

There are three output ports to use and they’re the same as the previous RAVPower one that we mentioned. This charger also featuring two USB-A ports, with one being Quick Charge and the other one is a standard port that has a 5V/2.4A charging speed.
