Best Power Banks for iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 10, 2024)

The iPhone 12, a powerful addition to Apple’s lineup, notably lacks a wall charger and earbuds in its box. It continues Apple’s trend of making unexpected changes like removing the headphone jack and exclusively using USB-C ports for MacBooks. The iPhone 12 includes a USB-C to Lightning cable, but as older iPhones came with a USB-A charger, not everyone might have a compatible wall charger. Alternatively, purchasing a separate USB-C wall charger or a Power Delivery USB-C portable charger offers fast charging and portability for the iPhone 12 models.

iWalk LinkPod Lightning Mini Power Bank

The first power bank I want to recommend is this iWalk LinkPod Lightning mini power bank. The one I reviewed above is the USB-C variant. However, I can still recommend the Lightning version of this power bank because it’s the same as the USB-C version; it just uses a different connector that lets you charge your iPhone 12.

The Lightning connector on the power bank has an 18W Power Delivery charging speed that can nearly charge your iPhone 12 at max speed. This iWalk LinkPod power bank has a 4,800mAh battery capacity that can charge up the iPhone 12 Pro Max with its 3,687mAh battery to full power about once, but you must recharge it after using it.

To recharge this LinkPod power bank, you must use the USB-C input with an 18W PD recharge rate, so I recommend using an 18W PD charger. Also, this power bank is designed for phones because once you plug it into your iPhone 12, it becomes an extension of your phone, making it easier to use and charge your phone simultaneously. For a detailed analysis, read my review article or watch my video review of the iWalk LinkPod USB-C power bank.

iWalk LinkPod Y2 Built-in Lightning Cable Power Bank

One other iWalk power bank I want to recommend is the LinkPod Y2. Like the other iWalk power bank, the one I reviewed had a built-in USB-C cable, but the one I recommend charging your iPhone 12 has a built-in Lightning cable. They’re the same power bank with different cables.

The built-in Lightning cable on this power bank can charge your iPhone 12 at 18W; its max charging speed is 20W. Using the USB-C input port with an 18W recharging rate would be best to recharge this power bank. The better part of this LinkPod Y2 power bank is that it has a 9,600mAh battery that can charge up the iPhone 12 to full power about 1.5 times or twice.

Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable. Discover the iWalk LinkPod Y2 power bank in my in-depth review or video review.

MOMAX 5,000mAh Magnetic Wireless Charging Power Bank

If you want to take advantage of the magnetic MagSafe feature of the iPhone 12, this MOMAX 5,000mAh Magnetic power bank is a good choice. The power bank has a low 5,000mAh battery capacity that can charge the iPhone 12 to full power about once, or at least come close. The wireless charging speed from this power bank is 5W to 7.5W; in this case, your iPhone 12 can charge 7.5W from the wireless charging pad.

Design-wise, your iPhone 12 will magnetically attach to the charging pad, so you can easily wirelessly charge your phone and use it simultaneously. A downside of this MOMAX power bank is that wireless charging is the only way to charge your iPhone; there are no output ports. The Lightning input port on the power bank has a 12W recharging speed.

This MOMAX power bank looks awesome because it has transparent glass that shows the inside of the power bank. Explore the features of the MOMAX Magnetic power bank by reading my review article.

MOMAX 10,000mAh 20W PD Lighting Input Power Bank

This is another MOMAX power bank I wanted to recommend, with this charger having a 10,000mAh capacity that can get the iPhone 12 to full power about two times. Charging is powerful, with the power bank having a 20W Power Delivery USB-C port, so you can fast charge your iPhone 12 from the USB-C port, but remember that you will need a USB-C to Lightning cable to use the USB-C port. There is also a USB-A Quick Charge port that you can also use to charge your iPhone.

I recommend using the USB-C port for recharging because it has a faster 20W PD recharging speed. However, you can also use the Lightning input port to recharge the power bank, which may be more accessible. This MOMAX power bank also has a wireless charging pad at the top that can charge your iPhone 12 at 7.5W; however, the charging pad is not magnetic. In my comprehensive review article, I will uncover the benefits of the MOMAX 10,000mAh wireless power bank.

ROMOSS PEA30 30,000mAh Power Bank

If you want a lot of battery capacity to charge up your iPhone 12 to full power many times, this ROMOSS PEA30 power bank has a 30,000mAh capacity. This ton of power can last for days if you only use it to charge your iPhone 12.

Charging is optimal, with a 30W Power Delivery USB-C port and two USB-A Quick Charge ports that can fast charge your iPhone. That said, fast charging is lost from the USB-C port when charging three devices simultaneously.

Recharging is also very accessible because it has three input ports, and you can use one at a time. I recommend using the USB-C port to recharge the power bank because it has a 30W Power Delivery recharge rate; of course, you will need a 30W or higher PD charger. Micro-USB and Lightning input ports can also recharge the power bank, but those have a slower 15W recharge rate. Check out my review or video to learn more about how the ROMOSS PEA30 power bank performs.

PowerAdd Pro 10,000mAh 20W PD Power bank

The simplest and the plainest power bank you could get for charging your iPhone 12 is this PowerAdd Pro power bank. Nothing too special happens with this power bank as it has a 10,000mAh battery capacity that can get the iPhone charged up about 1.5 times. There is a 20W Power Delivery USB-C port that can fast charge the iPhone 12 and later models; you can also use the USB-C port to recharge the power bank at 20W, or you can use the Micro-USB input port to recharge from, but it has an 18W recharge rate.

The power bank also has a USB-A Quick Charge port that can fast charge some Android phones. This PowerAdd power bank has a slim form factor that can easily fit into your pocket and your iPhone. Find out what makes the PowerAdd Pro 20W power bank stand out in my detailed review article or video review.
