Best Power Banks for Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and S22 Ultra

(Last Updated On: February 23, 2022)

The Samsung Galaxy S22 brings a host of improvements from last year’s S21, but at this point, you likely have an idea of what to expect. Modern phones only have incremental changes compared to leaps of improvements early on in the smartphone space. That said, if you’re someone that finds these improvements to be worth it year after year, then the S22 can be worth it to you.

The Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and the S22 Ultra all use the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU that brings faster processing, and each of the phones this year has a display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Of course, when it comes to the display, you’re also getting the best-in-class Super AMOLED screens that Samsung is known for. Something a bit surprising about the base S22 and the S22 Plus is that they have slightly smaller batteries than last year, but the S22 Ultra has the same 5,000mAh battery. This might be because the new CPU has better battery management.

Overall, the S22 lineup is the best that an Android phone offers. If you’re looking to get one or already have one, then you may want to consider owning a power bank for the S22. In this guide, we’re covering power banks that can charge the Galaxy phone wherever you are.

Excitrus NitroCharge Pro 25,600mAh 100W Power Delivery Power Bank

We’re starting this guide with a few heavy power banks, especially this Excitrus NitroCharge Pro power bank. This charger has a 25,600mAh power bank. Considering that the S22 has a 3,700mAh battery, the S22 Plus has a 4,500mAh battery, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery, a 25,600mAh capacity can charge these phones to full power about three times.

Charging power is just as great as the capacity, if not better, that’s because this Excitrus power bank has four ways to charge from it. There are two USB-C Power Delivery ports, one is a 45W USB-C PD port, and the other is a 100W USB-C PD port. The 45W USB-C PD port does feature PPS, so you can super fast charge your S22 at a faster speed than regular Power Delivery.

This power bank also has a USB-A Quick Charge port for fast charging, slower than the 45W USB-C PD port. You can also opt for 15W fast wireless charging at the top of the power bank, as the S22 is compatible with fast wirelessly charging at 15W. This is the premier power bank for the Galaxy S22 lineup, not only that, this can be a universal power bank that you use for all your charging needs because it can be used to charge most USB-C laptops and tablets, too.

Baseus 20,000mAh 60W Power Delivery Power Bank

This Baseus power goes lower on the power capacity and charging features, but at the same time, you’re getting a lower price. It has what you need, though, as this power bank has a 20,000mAh power capacity that can get the S22 models to full power about two times, and possibly three depending on if you’re using your phone while charging it or not. The power bank has one USB-C Power Delivery port and two USB-A Quick Charge ports; the 65W USB-C Power Delivery port does have PPS up to 45W, so you can super fast charge your S22 at the same time if you’re charging a single device from the power bank the 65W output can charge most USB-C laptops. Charging two devices simultaneously does make the USB-C port drop-down from 65W to 45W.

You can recharge this power bank at 60W with a 60W Power Delivery wall charger, but the power bank does not include one. You do get a USB-C to USB-C charging cable in the box. There is a Micro-USB input port from which you can recharge the power bank, but that is very slow compared to the USB-C PD port.

TEGIC 10,000mAh 30W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank

Function-wise, this TEGIC power bank is pretty standard with a 30W USB-C Power Delivery port and a USB-A Quick Charge port. The USB-C port does have 25W PPS fast charging that can charge the base Galaxy S22 at its max charging speed, but 45W PPS is not available for the other two higher-tier models. The power bank has a 10,000mAh power capacity that can get each of the S22 models to full power at least one time, and you may have some excess power capacity.

The box includes an interchangeable USB-C to USB-C cable that can be changed into a USB-C to USB-A cable. Pretty neat.

Design-wise, this TEGIC power bank looks like no other power bank on the market because it has a glass screen that shows the charger’s inner circuitry. It seems incredible, and we wish that other brands would do the same as it gives a great aesthetic to a relatively simple piece of technology.

UGREEN 10,000mAh 20W Power Bank with Built-in USB-C Cable

This UGREEN power bank fits into the same 10,000mAh power capacity range as the previous TEGIC power bank, so you’re going to fair about a single full charge for your Galaxy S22 or S22 Ultra. The most notable part of this UGREEN power bank is its charging, mainly because it has a built-in USB-C cable that can output an 18W Power delivery charging speed. This power bank does not feature PPS, but an 18W charge rate is the base of fast charging for the Galaxy S22, and as the power bank is charged up, you can fast charge your S22 with it.

The two other charging options from this UGREEN power bank are the USB-C port and the USB-A Quick Charge port. If you want to opt for a slightly faster charging speed, the USB-C port does have a 20W charge rate. Also, it’s excellent that you get a USB-C to USB-C and a USB-C to USB-A cable in the box, as this lets you use the two ports on the power bank right out of the box.

Crave PowerPack 50,000mAh 60W USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank

It seems overboard to recommend this Crave PowerPack portable charger because this power bank has a 50,000mAh power capacity. Yes, that’s a lot of power because, with a 50,000mAh power capacity, you can quickly charge the Samsung Galaxy S22 to full power about six times or more. The capacity is excellent for charging laptops to full power multiple times, too, making this the perfect power bank if you’re on a road trip as you don’t have to recharge it as much as lower capacity power banks.

Charging from this Crave PowerPack is nothing short of incredible as the power bank has two USB-C Power Delivery ports and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. One USB-C PD port has an 18W charging speed, and the other has a 60W output. The downside of the charging is that this power bank does not feature PPS, so the best charge rate you can get for your Galaxy S22 is 18W, from either the USB-C ports or the USB-A ports.

Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable and a 45W USB-C Power Delivery wall charger that you can use to recharge the power bank directly, or you can use it to charge your Galaxy S22. The size of this power bank is still portable, but it’s much larger and heavier than a regular 20,000mAh power bank. There’s no way you’re going to fit this charger into your pocket, and if you do, then congratulations, you’ve done the impossible.
