Best Chargers for Acer Swift 3 / Swift 5 in 2024

(Last Updated On: December 31, 2023)

Many modern laptops, including popular models like the MacBook, Acer Swift 3, and Swift 5, now use USB-C Power Delivery (PD) for charging. USB-C ports are versatile, enabling functions like file transfer and display connectivity, but their key advantage is the ability to charge devices. The Acer Swift 3 and Swift 5 are particularly noted for their affordability and high performance, making them ideal for college students. This guide will focus on various USB-C PD chargers suitable for these laptops, encompassing power banks, wall chargers, and car chargers, offering the convenience of charging your laptop almost anywhere.

UGREEN 45W 2 Port PD Charger

The first power bank I want to recommend is this UGREEN 45W charger. This charger hits just right at the power mark because the max output is 45W, and you can use the total 45W of Power Delivery when charging a single device from either USB-C port on the charger. This charger lets you charge your Acer Swift 3 or Swift 5 alone.

You also have the option for dual charging, but when charging two devices, there is a 25W and 20W power split. This lets you fast charge two phones or tablets simultaneously, but you may not be able to charge your Acer Swift laptop when charging another device. Oraimo 120W 4 Port Charger

A neat charger that I’ve reviewed is this Oraimo 120W charger. The charger has a 120W max output that can be shared among the four charging ports. However, if you’re charging a single device from USB-C 1 or USB-C 2, the output is 100W of Power Delivery, which can easily fast charge your Acer Swift 3 or Swift 5.

The main reason to get this is that it can be used to charge another device while you charge your Acer Swift laptop. When charging four devices, the USB-C 1 port outputs 65W, the C-2 port outputs 30W, while the C-3 and the USB-A port share a 20W output. So you can still charge your Acer Swift while possibly charging another laptop and fast charging two phones; this makes it much more reliable than the original charger. VOLTME 100W 3 Port Charger

A more balanced charger is this VOLTME 100W charger. This VOLTME charger has a 100W max output, two USB-C ports, and a single USB-A port. You can use 100W of Power Delivery when charging a single device from USB-C 1 or 2.

When charging two devices from C-1 and C-2, the power split is 65W and 30W; in this case, I recommend charging from the C-1 port for faster charging for your Acer Swift. The better part is that when charging three devices simultaneously, the USB-C 1 port outputs 65W, while the C-2 and the USB-A port output 12W; this still lets you fast charge your Acer Swift while charging another two devices. Read my review article or view my video review for a thorough breakdown of the VOLTME 100W 3 Port Charger’s capabilities.

Unitek 140W 3 Port Charger

If you want the ultimate type of Power Delivery charger, 140W charges are the way to go. I’ve already reviewed the UGREEN 140W and the VOLTME 140W charger, which are good; in this case, I’m recommending the Unitek 140W 3 port charger because of its lower price. The UGREEN and VOLTME alternatives are still good choices.

This Unitek charger’s 140W max output can be fully used if you’re charging a single device from the USB-C 1 or USB-C 2 port; of course, that only matters if the device you’re charging can accept that much power.

In this case, what matters is that charging two devices from C-1 and C-2 ports makes them each output 65W; this makes it possible to fast charge two Acer Swift laptops simultaneously. Of course, charging two devices, such as Acer Swift laptops, probably isn’t what you need, but you can always charge another laptop. Then, when charging three devices simultaneously, the UBS-A port always has an 18W charge rate, while the C-2 port outputs 45W and the C-3 port outputs 65W.

So even charging three devices lets you fast charge your Acer Swift 3 or Swift 5 from the USB-C 1 port while fast charging another two devices. This charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. Gain more insights on the Unitek 140W 3 Port Charger by reading my in-depth review article or watching my detailed video review.

Baseus 65W 20,000mAh Power Bank

Portable charging is possible for the Acer Swift thanks to USB-C charging; you must ensure you get a powerful enough power bank. One of my most recommended power banks is this Baseus 65W PD power bank with a 20,000mAh battery capacity. So you’ll be able to charge your laptop to full power at least and possibly have spare capacity.

You can use the total 65W Power Delivery charge rate when charging a single device from the USB-C port. However, when charging from the USB-C port and one of the USB-A ports, the USB-C port drops down to 45W, and then when charging from all three ports simultaneously, the USB-C output goes to 20W.

To get the best charging speed for your Acer Swift, I recommend charging it alone from the USB-C PD port or having just one device charge from one of the USB-A ports. Explore the features of the Baseus 65W 20,000mAh Power Bank in my comprehensive review article.

INIU 65W 25,000mAh Power Bank

One other power bank I wanted to recommend is the INIU 65W power bank. This INIU power bank has a 25,000mAh battery capacity. So, a little more power than the previous Baseus power bank, so you can charge your Acer Swift to full power and still have spare capacity to use later. Charging is also very good because this INIU power bank has a 65W USB-C port, a 30W USB-C port, and a 22.5W USB-A port. Baseus 65W PD Car Charger

Charging your Acer Swift while you’re driving is possible thanks to the accessibility of USB-C charging; you need a powerful enough car charger. This Baseus car charger has a 65W Power Delivery port when charging a single device from the USB-C port. When charging two devices, the USB-C port outputs 45W, and the USB-A port outputs 18W. So you can still charge your Acer Swift when charging another device from the USB-A port. This car charger also comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
