USB-C is becoming the new standard of charging for many of the portable devices that we currently use. If you haven’t already noticed, most new Android smartphones are now using USB-C instead of the Micro-USB input port. Also, even though the iPhone X and iPhone 8 don’t use USB-C, they do use the fast charging tech known as Power Delivery that’s being used with the standard of USB-C and you can fast charge either the iPhone X or iPhone 8 with a USB-C port if you use a USB-C to Lightning charging cable.

USB-C Power Delivery is one of the reasons why USB-C is starting to spread to larger and more powerful devices such as laptops and tablets. With now the MacBook using USB-C to charge and a bunch of other laptops too.

Most of the time when it comes to charging laptops, users would have to rely on an AC adapter brick, but now you can rely on USB wall chargers or desktop charging stations. Both of which are more portable friendly and can have more uses than solely charging your laptop. So we’ve gathered the best USB-C wall chargers that feature Power Deliver and some that don’t, which feature just standard USB-C charging.

RAVPower 3-Port USB-C Wall Charger

The first USB-C wall charger that we’re recommending is a standard one, which means that this charger does not feature Power Delivery. There are two USB-A charging ports with each of them outputting a charging speed of 5V/2.4A. While the USB-C port has a 5V/3.0A charging speed. Of course, charging a USB-C compatible device with the USB-C port is the best thing to use it for as the 15W from the port will be able to use the max power from the USB-C port.

However, something to know is that since this USB-C port does not feature Power Delivery it can still charge a few larger devices such as USB-C compatible laptops; such as the USB-C compatible MacBook, but it will not charge it at its max charging speed, and it will actually charge it quite slowly. Charging other USB-C compatible laptops that are not MacBooks, isn’t the best idea to charge them with this charger as there’s no Power Delivery present at all.

With all that said, charging USB-C smartphones and tablets it would be a fine use for this charger. Also, the two USB-A ports are helpful for charging another two devices at the same time, and the max output of the USB-A port section is 3.4A. While the max output of the wall charger is 30W, so you can use the max power of the USB-C port and the USB-A port section at the same time.

PowerAdd 3-Port USB-C and Quick Charge Wall Charger

Another 3-Port USB-C wall charger is this PowerAdd one. This is very similar to the previous RAVPower wall charger, but this charger features a USB-A port that uses Quick Charge. So there are two USB-A ports, with one using Quick Charge and the other one has a 5V/2.4A charging speed. The one other one port is the USB-C port that thas a 5V/3.0A charging speed.

So you can fast charge Quick Charge compatible smartphones, and also charge a device with the USB-C port at the same time. The max output fo this charger is 43W, so there’s enough power to use all the ports at their max power at the same time. Once again though, the USB-C port is not a Power Delivery one but can be helpful for charging small USB-C compatible devices such as smartphones.

Anker PowerPort II Power Delivery Charger

Okay, so now we’re going to be going into the Power Delivery wall chargers. The first one that we have to mention is from a brand that you might already know, and that would be, Anker. One of the top brands on the market when it comes to charging electronics. This is their PowerPort II wall charger.

There are two ports, there’s one USB-C Power Delivery port that has a 30W charging speed, and the other port features Anker’s PoweriQ 2.0 charging tech. That’s really just a fancy way of saying that the USB-A port is capable of outputting 18W, and so you can charge Quick Charge compatible devices with it at their max charging speed, so it’s basically a Quick Charge port.

The 30W of Power Delivery charging is basically what you should expect at the base of PD charging as some laptops will charge at their max charging speed with 30W. While there are actually some laptops on the market that won’t charge at all with it being not enough power. That said, this PowerPort II charger is enough to charge a base USB-C MacBook at its max charging speed, and it can also charge a MacBook Pro, but not at its max charging speed.

The form factor of this charger is also another great part because it has a built-in AC adapter, and length/width of the charger is 2.7 inches, while the thickness of the charger is 1.1 inches. So small that you can practically fit it into a pocket if you wanted to.

Aukey 60W 3-Port USB-C Power Delivery Desktop Charging Station

Going up one more port, this is Aukey’s 60W Power Delivery charging station. No that’s not the max output for this charger, this Aukey charger does feature a 60W USB-C Power Delivery charging station. That’s basically double the charging speed than the previous Anker charger that we mentioned. With 60W of charging power, the doors to charge more USB-C Power Delivery compatible devices open up. As you can charge a MacBook Pro near its max charging speed, and you can also charge other laptops such as the Dell XPS 13 or the more powerful XPS 15 laptop with this 60W Power Delivery port.

The other two USB-A ports on this charger share a 5V/2.4A (12W) charging speed and max output of this charge is 72W. So you can use the max power of the USB-C Power Delivery port and still use the two USB-A ports on this charger.

PowerAdd 4-Port USB-C Power Delivery Charging Station

Unlike the other PowerAdd charger that we talked about, this is their USB-C Power Delivery charging station that has more ports. The USB-C on this charger has a 30W charging speed.

Also, just a reminder, there are quite a few Power Delivery compatible smartphones on the market such as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9, both of which are not only Power Delivery compatible but are also able to use Quick Charge to fast charge. Then there’s the Google Pixel 2, Essential Phone and let’s not forget the iPhone X and iPhone 8 which are also PD compatible and chargeable using a USB-C to Lightning charging cable.

There are three USB-A ports on this desktop charger with each of them outputting a 5V/2.4A charging speed and the max output of the USB-A port section is section is 4.4A. The max output of this charger is 52W, so the 30W is reserved for the USB-C port and the rest if for the USB-A ports.

RAVPower 45W USB-C Power Delivery Desktop Charging Station

Basically, a more powerful desktop charger than the PowerAdd one that we just mentioned, would be this RAVPower desktop charger.

The USB-C Power Delivery port on his charger has a 45W charging rate, so it’s 15W higher than the usual 30W. As a result, you can charge larger USB-C compatible devices at a faster-charging speed, and you can also charge a laptop like the XPS 13 with this charger, but not the XPS 15, because the Dell XPS 15 laptop requires that you use a 60W Power Delivery charger.

There are four USB-A ports on this charger that each have a 5V/2.4A charging speed and so 15W is available for the USB-A section of this charger as the max output of this RAVpower desktop charging station is 60W. 45W for the USB-C Power Delivery port and 15W for the USB-A ports.

The final Power Delivery charger that we recommend is from, Anker. Basically on the other side of the spectrum in comparison with the first Anker charger that we mentioned, this charger has more charging ports. The USB-C Power Delivery port has a 30W charging speed, and what makes this charger so great is not only the Power Delivery port or the four other USB-A ports. It’s the charging from the USB-A ports.

The USB-A section of this charger has a 30W output, so it’s a lot more powerful than the other USB-A ports that other chargers have in this guide, so if you want to charge your Power Delivery compatible device at a fast charging speed, and at the same time want to charge other devices at the same time and have them charge relatively fast, then this PowerPort Speed 5 charger does a great job at doing just that.
