Best Wireless Charging Stands / Pads for LG V30 and LG G6

(Last Updated On: April 20, 2020)

LG is quite a well-known brand when it comes to the smartphone industry.

Even though larger, companies such as Apple and Samsung dominate this market, LG still holds a place that’s still able to compete with the top dogs. With their LG G6 and LG V30, they stepped up their game and that’s because both of these smartphones entered the new age.

With the LG G6 and V30 both joining the game of smartphones with small bezels.

As they both have very large screens and the bezels are very small, this is especially true when it comes to the V30, as the screen goes completely to the right and left and the top and bottom are the only parts that have a noticeable bezel.

The Phones that can Compete with Flagships

Also, with V30, what you get is an OLED display, something that is a first with LG smartphones and it’s something much needed as Samsung’s AMOLED display is known to be the best on the market.

When it comes to charging either of these smartphones they’re both Quick Charge 3.0 compatible and use USB-C. So you’re able to fast charge either of them with a Quick Charge charger.

That said, the new part of charging is that the G6 and V30 are Qi Wireless Compatible. Something that previous LG smartphones did not feature.

We’ve created a guide for the best wireless chargers for the LG V30 and LG G6 so you can charge either of these smartphones without having to use a charging cable.

Wireless Chargers in this Guide:

That said, just something to know before you move on is that LG smartphones are not Fast Wireless charging compatible and therefore it doesn’t matter if you get a Fast wireless charger or a Standard wireless charger as either one will charge it at a standard 5W charging speed.

Aukey LC-C5 Graphite Wireless Charger Pad

In our review for this charger, we were somewhat surprised that it didn’t feature fast wireless charging. The reason for that is because this wireless charger features a USB-C port, which is something that not many wireless chargers on the market do.

As most wireless chargers still use a Micro-USB input to be powered from, and with the use of a USB-C port, that usually means that the charger is going to feature Fast Wireless charging, but it doesn’t.

That’s just fine though, in this case, because with the LG V30 and the LG G6 using USB-C, you’re able to use the same charging cable that you use to charge them, to power this charger.

Another thing is that you do have to use a Quick Charge wall charger with this Aukey wireless charger, but you do have to use a 2 Amp wall charger to higher. That way you can get the standard wireless charging speed of 5W, or 5V/1.0A.

The charger itself is very small with a length/width of 3.4 inches and it’s also quite thin at 0.4 inches. The bottom of the charger is Zinc Ally which makes the charger keep cool even during a long duration of charging.

Pros for Aukey LC-C5 Graphite Wireless Charger:

  • Has a standard charging speed only, which makes the charger super affordable
  • Small size, so it doesn’t take up much space at all
  • Uses a USB-C input port, rather than a Micro-USB input port

Cons for Aukey LC-C5 Graphite Wireless Charger:

  • Does come with a wall charger to power it

Anker PowerPort Wireless 5 Pad

This wireless charger is from a very well-known brand in the charging electronic space, Anker. They’ve made some of the best portable chargers and wall chargers on the market and this is their standard wireless charger, the PowerPort Wireless 5 Pad.

This charger has a very small size of 3.9 inches and even though when it comes to using wireless charging pads, they end up just using a single coll, the coil on this charger is rather larger and you can turn your smartphone without having the charging turning off.

The PowerPort Wireless 5 Pad uses Micro-USB input and does not feature Fast Wireless charging. So you can use a 2 Amp USB wall charger or higher to have it output its max charging power.

When it comes to lighting with wireless chargers, some have very bright lights and that can cause some disturbance while you’re sleeping and charging your smartphone.

In this case, this charger has a very small Blue power indicator light. So the charger is not a disturbance while you’re sleeping.

Pros for Anker PowerPort Wireless 5 Pad:

  • A bit larger than other wireless charging pads, which allows you to more easily use your phone
  • Comes with a Micro-USB charging cable
  • Has an LED power light to indicate charging

RAVPower 4 Coil Fast Wireless Charging Pad

Wireless charging pads usually just use a single charging coil and because of that, you get a small area where you can place your smartphone and it will charge.

So you have to be careful about where you place your smartphone so that it can constantly charge your smartphone. This RAVPower wireless charger erases the need to have to care about where to place your smartphone and that’s because it features 4-coils.

This means that you can place your smartphone anywhere on this wireless charging pad, facing up, at any angle and it will charge.

It’s somewhat disappointing that you can still only charge a single device at a time with this RAVPower wireless charger, but the experience that you can get from it is great. As you can just place and forget, and move your phone around and use it while it wirelessly charges.

Another great part is that this RAVPower wireless charger features Fast Charging, it comes with a Quick Charge wall charger so you can provide max power to it right out of the box.

We realize that LG G6 and LG V30 are not Fast Wireless charging compatible but this charger will charge it at standard speeds and if you have family or friends that do have a Fast Wireless charging compatible smartphone, this charger can fast charge them.

From mentioning a rather large wireless charging pad that features 4-coils, this is a very small wireless charging pad, the Viotek FASTPAD Slim wireless charger.

This charger has a very small form factor with its length/width of 2.7 inches, and the thickness of the charger is 0.2 inches.

Very small, and when it comes to using your smartphone on this charger then you have to make sure that you tap lightly so you don’t offset your phone from the center.

Something rather extraordinary about this charger is that it features Fast Wireless charging with its slim form factor.

Fast charging is done when you use a Quick Charge wall charger, but in this case, if you’re charging an LG G6 or a V30, you’re fine just using a 2 Amp wall charger or higher. Another different part about this charger is that it has a built-in charging cable.

This Viotek wireless charger is also IP67 waterproof, which means that you can practically immerse this charger in water.

Spigen Essential F300W Wireless Charging Pad

Then there are wireless charging standards. When it comes to using charging pads, you have to place your smartphone flat and that can make it difficult to use your smartphone while it charges.

The best thing to do is to use a charging stand. Using a charging stand can be better because it allows you to have more easy access to your smartphone while it charges wirelessly.

This Spigen Essential F300W charging stand is highly rated. That’s because it sits at a very good angle that makes it easier to use your smartphone, while not being too vertical. The charger has a standard wireless charging speed, and it has a Micro-USB input port.

Also, with wireless charging stands, such as this Spigen wireless charger that uses three charging coils, you’re able to place your smartphone vertically or horizontally.

With this wireless charging stand, there’s power strip light that shows that charging has started, and then the light turns off after a few seconds of charging.
