At this point, high-wattage Power Delivery chargers are pretty normal. A few years ago, 100W PD chargers were rare and incredible, but more portable devices becoming compatible with USB-C charging developed more high-wattage chargers.

If you’re searching for a high-powered USB-C charger, I’m looking at the RAVPower 100W 2 port USB-C wall charger in this review. If you know RAVPower, you likely already know that they make some top-quality chargers; in this case, this 100W charger hits the right marks and is nothing complicated.

Charging Power

Charging from this RAVPower 100W charger is simple but powerful. The charger has two USB-C ports; each can output a total of 100W of Power Delivery if you’re charging from either of them once at a time

To test if the charger can output 100W, I charged my Excitrus power bank and got a 100W recharging speed with no other devices charging.

This charger also features fast charging, as I could charge my Galaxy S20 at 25W. I’m not sure how high the PPS super-fast charging goes.

Regarding dual charging for this RAVPower charger, the charging speed split is 65W and 30W. The first device that you have plugged in is the one that will receive the 65W charging speed, and the second device that you plug in will get the 30W charge rate.

For my testing, I had the Excitrus power bank charging first and then plugged in my Lenovo laptop; the power bank charged at about 65W, and the laptop charged at 3W. My laptop charged at 3W and not 30W because my Lenovo laptop requires a 45W or higher Power Delivery USB-C port to fast charge.

So I unplugged the power bank, and my laptop began charging at 30W, and then I plugged in the Excitrus power bank again, and it began to charge at 30W.

To ensure that dual charging power works how it’s supposed to, I had an Excitrus power bank and a Baseus power bank charge simultaneously from this wall charger. The Excitrus power bank was able to charge 65W, and the Baseus power bank was able to charge 30W, which is exactly what the specs of this RAVPower charger say it can do.

Design

Since this RAVPower 100W charger uses GaN, it’s tiny, with just a length of 2.4 inches and a thickness of 1.1 inches. The charger uses a foldable plug with a small blue LED power light at the front. Nothing complicated about using it.

Build Quality

The build quality of this 100W charger is on par with other RAVPower products, which means that it’s a high-quality charger. RAVPower matches up with Anker’s chargers, which is true. The charger may get warm during charging, especially if you’re using nearly 100W of charging power, but that is the same for any other 100W charger.

Conclusion:

The RAVPower 100W dual USB-C wall charger may not be new now, which is fine. It’s still a solid charger that can deliver 100W of Power Delivery and fast charge most USB-C chargeable devices. Even though the dual charging is excellent with a 65W and 30W split, it still lets you fast charge two devices, and it all comes in a tiny size.
