Since there are a lot of different power banks on the market, it also means that a ton of them are capable of doing different things. With that said, there are indeed aspects of a power bank that make it have old or rather obsolete features. New features are ones that aren’t on too many power banks, but when these kind of scarce and new features are on a power bank, then it’s very helpful.

This is the 21,000mAh Charged Power portable charger. It uses an LCD power capacity display that is not very commonly used with power banks and that’s a shame because it’s one of the best ways to tell the power capacity that’s left.

Power Capacity:

The power capacity of the power bank starts at 21,000mAh and you have to account for the conversion of power during charging. Conversion is quite average at about 70% of the initial power capacity and that means you’re going to be receiving 14,500mAh of usable power.

Even though all Output power capacities will be lower than the initial power capacity of a power bank, in this case, and a lot of other ones, it’s still a lot of power that can charge devices multiples times over. And that’s usually the case, with high capacity power banks; even though they lose what seems like a lot of power, in the end, the Output power capacity is still a lot.

Charged Power for Smartphones

This Charged Power portable charger has a perfect power capacity for smartphones and it might just be a little too perfect and that’s because most smartphones are going to be able to charge about 8 times or more with it.

So an iPhone 7 with its 1,960mAh power capacity is able to charge to its full power about 7.5 times and that basically means that this power bank can last for about a full week with one full charge if you’re only charging a smartphone.

Charging a high capacity smartphone like iPhone 7 with its 2,900mAh battery capacity will result in 5 full charges.

Charged Power for Tablets

The Output power capacity is also perfect for charging tablets. When it comes to Mini tablets like the iPad Mini 2, 4 and the Galaxy Tab series of tablets, then those will be able to get to their full charge a few times. iPad Mini 4 is able to recharge to full about 2 times and a Galaxy Tab is able to recharge to its full power about 3 times if it has a 4,000mAh power capacity.

Charging full-sized tablets like the iPad Air and 12-inch tablet will result in at least one full charge and the power bank will still have some power capacity left over after charging these absolutely large capacity devices.

Output Charging:

There are 2 charging ports with the power bank. One of the ports feature Quick Charge and the other one has just regular charging.

Quick Charge Charging

The Quick Charge port has a charging speed of 5V/2.0A | 9-12V/1.5A. With that said, that’s not exactly the limits of Quick Charge because the charging speed is supposed to go up to 3 Amps and a higher amount of Voltage. So the Quick Charge port is still able to charge Quick Charge compatible smartphones at fast speeds, but just not at the fastest Quick Charge speeds.

Standard Charging

The other ports have a charging speed of 5V/2.0A and that’s quite a good speed for most smartphones and overall, charging 2 devices at once holds no real problems because there aren’t any compromises when it comes to the Max Output. This is because you can use the full power of each of the ports at the same time.

Input Charging:

Input recharging is better than most power banks and this is because it uses Quick Charge with the Micro-USB Input. As a result, you can recharge this Charged Power portable charger at speeds of 5V/2.0A | 9-12V/1.5A. So if you want to recharge the power bank as fast as possible then you must use a Quick Charge USB wall charger.

Design

Size and Weight:

You can’t expect a power bank like this to be small or lightweight since it has such a high power capacity.

It has a length of 7.3 inches, a width of 4 inches and a thickness of 1 inch. When you put together the large size and the weight of 13.4 ounces; then you’re going to realize that you’re not going to be holding this power bank in your hand for long periods of time. Instead, most of the time, the power bank is going to be placed down and then you’ll charge your devices.

Functional Components:

All of the functional parts are basically in the same general location. On the side is where you’ll find 2 USB ports, the Micro-USB Input port, and the LED flashlight. On top is where there’s a power button and an LCD power capacity display.

Charging automatically starts when you plug a device into any of the 2 charging ports, and that leaves the power button with just 2 main functions. You’re going to be using the power button to check the power capacity that’s left by pressing it once and turn on the flashlight, you have to double tap the power button.

Charging will automatically stop when there isn’t anything charging.

The LCD Display

The LCD Display shows the power capacity in a percentage manner, and only uses 2 Digits. So when it’s at 99%, then the power bank is at full power.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entire power bank is made of plastic, and it holds up quite well. Just don’t go dropping it and the power bank should be safe.

Tech:

On the tech side, this Charged Power portable charger does a good job with providing safe protections that are able to keep charging safe; one of the best features is preventing overheating that can ultimately cause damage to the power bank.

Reliability

This power bank is going to be most reliable for those that own Quick Charge compatible smartphones and that’s because of its usage of Quick Charge. I say this because Quick Charge smartphones users are able to take advantage of the fast Output and Input charging. Since Quick Charger users most likely have Quick Charge USB wall chargers and can recharge this power bank faster.

That’s not to say that if you don’t have a Quick Charge smartphone don’t get this power bank, it’s just going to be more helpful if you do have one.

Summary:

Power:

It has a high power capacity that is able to charge most smartphones and tablets multiple times over. The usage of Quick Charge isn’t the best as it doesn’t provide the max amount of power that Quick Charge is capable of providing. However, the use of a Quick Charge Input is very welcome.

Design:

On the design side, this power bank is large and heavy. Other than that, it’s a blast to use. With its automatic charging and LCD Power capacity display.

Build:

Even though it’s made of plastic, it still has a solid build that is great for everyday use.

Reliability:

The power bank is more skewed towards Quick Charge users.
