USB wall chargers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, they also have different amounts of charging ports. Overall, wall chargers are the most innovated on type of charging electronic on the market and that’s because we use them the most often. This is mostly because most of the devices that we purchase such as smartphones, tablets and also laptops come with USB wall chargers to charge the device.

However, most of the time the wall charger that does come with a device isn’t exactly the best option for charging it as companies will usually want you to spend your money on their chargers that offer the fastest charging speed for a smartphones or tablet, separately. This tends to be the case with Quick Charge compatible devices and that is why there are so many third parties that create Quick Charge wall chargesr for you to be able to charge your Quick Charge compatible device at its max charging speed.

One of the best Quick Charge wall chargers on the market is AllMaybe’s EU-2 USB wall charger. It’s quite a big statement to say that, but this Quick charge wall charger definitely has a few parts to it that make it a level better than others similar to it.

Power

Output Charging:

Of course, the most important aspect of this charger is the actual charging capabilities of it. What makes this EU-2 wall charger so special is that it has two USB charging ports and each of the two ports uses Quick Charge 3.0. Yes, this is awesome because that means you can charge two Quick Charge compatible devices at their max chargings speed at the same time.

Both Ports Use Quick Charge 3.0

AllMaybe Wall Charger fast charging a Samsung Galaxy S7

Each of the two charging ports has a charging speed of 3.6-6.5V/2.4A | 6.5-9V/2.0A | 9-12V/1.5A. The other great part of the charging power is that the max output is 36W, which translates over to 7.2A, which means that you’re able to use the max power of each of the two ports at the same time.

Charging for Standard Devices

The final part of the charger that we wanted to point out is that Non-Compatible Quick Charge devices can also charge with this EU-2 wall charger. If you’re charging standard devices, then each of the two ports is able to Output a charging speed of 5V/2.4A and that’s enough power to charge two iPads at their max power.

Design

Size and Weight:

This AllMaybe wall charger has a unique design and takes a different path rather than just having a simple rectangular cube shape with all sides ending the same way. Instead, the AllMaybe wall charger has a shape that resembles a leaf; there are two sides that end with a smooth curve and then there are two sides that are straight edged.

The wall charger has a length of 2.5 inches, a width of 2.2 inches and a thickness of 1.2 inches. The weight of the charger is 3.4 ounces.

When it comes to using the wall charger on an AC wall outlet, it won’t be taking up too much space and thankfully it won’t cover up the other outlet. That said, if you want more clearance, we think it’s best to use the bottom AC Outlet so you have more space to use the other AC Outlet. That said, if having lots of clearance between the two AC Outlets doesn’t matter then we recommend using the top AC outlet as you can better see the LCD display that this wall charger boasts.

Functional Components:

Did we just say LCD screen? Yes!

This wall charger does indeed have an LCD screen and there are very few wall chargers like this on the market. What’s the benefit of the LCD screen? Well, the function of the LCD screen is to show you a few stats having to deal with the charging process.

The LCD screen shows:

  • Which USB port Stats are being displayed
  • The level of Voltage
  • The Amperage Level
  • It also shows the Watt Hour power capacity that has been refilled so far to your device
The LCD display shows the stats of a specific port. In this case, it’s showing the stats such as Voltage, Amperage, and Wh for USB Port 2.

It shows all of these stats in real time, and the best part is that you can change from one USB port to the other with just the press of a button. What we found even more amazing about the LCD screen is that you can turn it OFF and ON by holding the same button down for about 3 seconds and even with the LCD screen off charging will still resume like normal. It’s a great feature if you’re going to sleep and don’t want any light disturbance from the charger.

The two main things that we wanted to point about the use of the LCD screen is that since it’s a Quick Charge wall charger you’re able to know just how fast the Quick Charge speed is. The second best part of the LCD screen is its use of a LED backlight so you can see it very easily in the dark too.

To top it all off the wall charger uses a retractable AC adapter that makes portability easier with it.

Build

Structure and Material:

The wall charger is made of plastic and so it’s basically like any other wall charger on the market. It’s built well enough and can take light falls and can be great for traveling. One of the main weakness is that the LCD screen, with as useful and cool as it, can actually get scratched quite easily. That said, we fully realize that this is a new product and that improvements are bound to be made.

Tech:

On the tech side, there are no hang ups as we charged a Galaxy S7 at its max charging speed and at one point the wall charger did indeed go into the 9V range. No overheating either, even when we were charging two devices at once, which we found quite surprising but reassuring at the same time.

Reliability

On the reliability side, this wall charger is great. As you can charge Quick Charge compatible devices at their max charging speeds with either of the two ports and charge them at the same time too.

Summary:

Power:

This AllMaybe wall charger has two Quick Charge 3.0 ports, so you can charge two Quick Charge compatible devices at their max power at the same time. Each of the ports is also able to charge Non-Compatible Quick Charge devices at their max power too.

Design:

The use of its LCD screen is the main event for this charger as not many wall chargers use an LCD Screen. In this case, the LCD shows the Voltage, Amperage and how much Wh capacity has been filled up for the device that you’re charging.

Build:

It has quite a good build quality. That said, just one of the main flaws is that the LCD screen is kind of easy to scratch.

Reliability:

It’s a great all around charger that can charge compatible and Non-Compatible Quick Charge devices at their max power and you get to use a helpful LCD screen with it all.
