There are lots of USB wall chargers on the market and admittedly, we here at Charger Harbor agree that there are so many that most of them are basically just clones of each other. That said, there are definitely a few and far in-between ones that truly separate themselves from the crowd. It’s not really about the power though, especially when it comes to standard 2-Port USB wall chargers as there are lots of  2-port wall chargers that have powerful charging ports and a whole bunch of the other same stuff.

Instead, what we’re reviewing here is quite different. It’s AllMaybe’s EU2-ST wall charger. It has an LCD screen that’s able to show you a couple of stats that you’d need a Multimeter for, but in this case, you don’t need it all. The screen shows you exactly what’s happening in real time and this something that is truly different and new that has come to the wall charging space. Let’s take a closer look at what exactly this intuitive wall charger is capable of with its power and usability with its screen.

Power

Output Charging:

Going into the charging aspect of this AllMaybe EU2-ST wall charger, the power from its two USB ports are at an optimal level. As each of the two USB ports on this charger has a charging speed of 5V/2.4A. The 2.4 Amp charging is speed is one of the fastest standard charging speeds available and can charge most standard devices at their max charging speed. This charger does not feature Quick Charge, however, if you do want a Quick Charge wall charger like this then you’re in luck. That’s because AllMaybe actually has their EU2 model is just like this wall charger but it has two Quick Charge ports.

The max output of this EU2-ST charger is 4.8A and that means you can use the ports at the same time at their power. Overall, there are no hang-ups with when it comes to power with this wall charger, except maybe if you’re looking for Quick Charge. If that’s the case, then we highly recommend the Quick Charge version of this same exact charger.

Design

Size and Weight:

The dimensions and weight of this charger are what you’d expect from other wall chargers with its specifications. It’s very compact and barely has any true weight to it, both of those things are great specifications to have a 2-port wall charger. The charger has a length and width of 2.4 inches and a thickness of the charger is 1.1 inches. It has a weight of 3.3 ounces. There are going to be absolutely no problems when it comes to portability with this charger. So don’t be hesitant to throw it into your bag for traveling or even placing it into a pocket to use later when you’re at your destination because it’s just that small and convenient to travel with.

Functional Components:

This AllMaybe Wall charger is basically just like any other 2-port USB wall charger that you’ve used. It has its two USB ports on a single side, in this case, both of them have a label that says “2.4A” above them to indicate their charging speed which is actually quite nice to have. Also, there’s a retractable AC adapter that makes portability with this wall charger very easy.

Then there are two different things for this wall charger. One of them is the power button that can be found above the two USB ports and there’s also an LCD screen that can be found on top of the charger. The power button can be used to turn ON and OFF the LCD screen by holding it down for about 3 Seconds and that’s because the LCD screen on this charger is actually quite bright and can be very bright when it comes time to sleep. So it’s awesome that AllMaybe made a power button to just turn off screen, but keep the charging going.

Last part is the main event and that would be the LCD screens that we mentioned earlier which is the game changer for this wall charger. The LCD screen shows four main things:

1.What USB Port Specifications it’s showing

2.The Amount of Voltage that’s being outputted

3.The Amount of Amerage that being outputted

4.The Amount of Power Capacity that’s been refilled

It’s pretty awesome to see all these stats in real time and you can actually switch between which port’s stats you want to see simply by pressing the button and it’ll change to the other port.

Build

Structure and Material:

The wall charger is made of plastic but it comes to no surprise as most wall chargers on the market are made of plastic anyways. On the bright side is that this charger has a solid build quality regardless and it’s nearly a uni-body build and that is a great thing. The LCD screen is also very durable as it doesn’t scratch easily and even keys won’t scratch it. That said, we don’t think you really have to worry about the LCD screen as this is just a wall charger and not your smartphone.

Tech:

On the tech side, this wall charger is also quite good with its build quality as there’s no overheating whatsoever, and even with the screen on with two devices charging at once the wall charger didn’t warm-up. That’s a great thing, and the surprising thing at the same time as the LCD screen is quite bright and yet there’s no overheating.

Reliability

On the reliable side things, this AllMaybe is very reliable with its two powerful charging ports that provide ample amounts of power at the same time as it has a 4.8A max output. Perhaps the most reliable part of it is that you can know the power that’s being outputted at the same time, and that basically means AllMaybe is being as transparent as possible with their products. Something that not all companies are willing to do.

Summary:

Power:

Power is at an optimal with the ports at an individual power level as each of them has a charging speed of 5V/2.4A and also a powerful max output of 4.8A.

Design:

The design of this charger is great for its very small dimensions and lightweight. The addition of an LCD screen which shows multiple stats is something that is new and actually helpful to know what’s happening with the charging process of your device.

Build:

Build quality is great as it has a near unibody structure and the wall charger doesn’t even heat up while you’re charging two devices at once with the LCD on.

Reliability:

It’s a powerful and intuitive wall charger that we found to be very helpful and fun to use.

There are not many wall chargers like this AllMaybe EU2-ST USB wall charger, but hopefully other companies find value with doing something similar because its use of an LCD screen is a part that can be helpful to have for some users and it’s really cool to look at even if you’re not into the small details of charging.
