Most of the time, when we think of high capacity power banks, the range of power is usually 15,000mAh to 20,000mAh.

That’s an understandable point of view because that amount of power capacity can charge lots of devices many times over. With that said, power banks come in even larger power capacities that go in ranges that can last for a very long time.

In addition to these colossal power capacities, there are also lots of charging ports and recharging ports.

In this case, we’re reviewing this ALLPOWER 30,000mAh power bank. That’s a lot of power, and with it, comes the responsibility of being able to utilize it correctly. Let’s see what it has.

How Much Power You’ll Be Getting

The power capacity of this ALLPowers power bank starts at 30,000mAh, with that said, the power capacity that you’re going to be receiving is going to be lower.

Although that’s nothing to be disappointed about, we’ll get to that in a moment.

The conversion rate of this ALLPowers portable charger is quite good because most of the time it’s going to be average; through inefficiencies of converting power within the batteries and the power going through the charging cable. With that said, you’re going to be averaging a conversion rate of about 70%.

3.7 x 30,000 = 111,000 / 5 = 22,200

As we said before, the power capacity you’ll be able to use is going to be lower than the initial and one of the main reasons this isn’t too much of a bad thing is because there’s 22,000mAh of power to use. That’s a lot of power no matter how you look at it.

Charging Smartphones with the ALLPowers 30,000mAh Power Bank

It’s with this power capacity that you’ll be able to charge most smartphones 7 times or more.

This is going to be true even for high capacity smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 with its 3,000mAh battery capacity as it’s going to be able to charge to its full power about 7.5 times.

Smartphones that have lower capacities than a Galaxy S7 are going to be able to charge a lot more times, chances are that you possibly own one too.

Charging Mini Tablets

As for charging tablets, the experience is the same as charging smartphones but with tablets thrown into the mix.

If you’re going to charge Mini tablets like an iPad Mini 2 or 4 series then that’s going to result in about 3.5 full charges.

Charging another mini-tablet like a Galaxy Tab with its 4,000mAh is going to be able to charge to full power about 5 times. So even for tablets, devices that have very high battery capacities, this power bank can cut right through them.

Charging Full-Sized Tablets

Lastly, if you’re wanting to charge a very high capacity device like a Full-Sized iPad 12-Inch that has a battery capacity of 10,000mAh then it’s going to be able to charge to its full power 2 times. This can’t be said about too many power banks on the market.

Output Charging:

There are 3 charging ports on this ALLPower 30,000mAh power bank, but more important than the number of ports is the quality of the charging ports.

Each of the three USB Output ports can output 5V/2.4A and the Max Output of the power bank is 4A. Not too bad.

When it comes to the individual charging ports, a charging speed of 2.4A is a Max Standard charging speed that’s able to charge most devices at their max charging speed.

This goes for most smartphones, although it’s not going to be able to charge Quick Charge compatible smartphones at their max charging speeds because this power bank does not have Quick Charge.

With that said, it will charge tablets at their max charging speeds.

If you’re using all 3 charging ports and the Max Output of 4 Amps is being reached, then each port will output 5V/1.3A. Not too bad, but that can be quite slow for most modern smartphones as they mostly charge within the 2 Amp range.

So if you want to charge the device as fast as possible with the power bank, then it’s best to charge 2 at a time to make sure that you’re not spreading the power too thin.

Input Charging:

A power bank that has a power capacity of 30,000mAh is usually going to take a while to fully recharge, but that shouldn’t be the case with power banks that have a power capacity THIS LARGE.

As a result, this power bank uses 2 Micro-USB Input ports, you’re able to recharge it just like a 10,000mAh power bank would charge.

Each of the Input ports has a recharge speed of 5V/2.0A, so as long as you’re using a 2 Amp wall charger for each of the ports, then the power bank will be recharged at 4 Amps.

This is going to result in a full recharge within 7-8 hours. For 30,000mah, that’s a very fast recharge rate.

Design

Size and Weight:

Of course, when a power bank has a power capacity of 30,000mAh it’s going to be very large and heavy.

This ALLPowers portable charger has a length of 6.9 inches,  a width of 4.3 inches, and a thickness of 0.7 inches. The weight of the power bank is 1.3 pounds. So quite large and heavy. Most of the time this is going to be set down and used.

Functional Components:

Almost all of the functional parts of the power bank are on a single side. On that side is where you’ll find 3 USB Output ports, 2 Micro-USB Input ports, and a power button. On top of the power bank is where there are 4 LED Power capacity indicators.

Charging automatically starts when you connect a device into any of the 3 charging ports, so the power button is mainly used to check the power capacity that’s left.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entire power bank is made of plastic. It has a good solid build, however, it’s not recommended that you drop it because there’s nothing to absorb shock when it does fall.

Tech:

On the tech side, the power bank makes use of multiple safety protections like Surge and Short-Circuit protection to make sure nothing goes wrong even when you’re charging 3 devices at once.

Reliability

For the most part, this ALLPower 30,000mAh is going to serve you well.

It has a power capacity that’s going to charge nearly every USB chargeable device multiple times.

Even with the Output power capacity that you’ll be able to use, it still holds up with the ability to charge smartphones and tablets multiple times over; which can make it last for a long time.

There are 3 charging ports to charge 3 devices at the same time, and you can rely on this power bank for delivering quite the fast charging speeds.

With that said, it’s best to charge 2 devices at most if you want to charge the fastest. With all that said, it’s important to remember that a 30,000mAh power bank is going to be very large and heavy, as this power bank is.

Summary:

Power:

The power capacity is enough to charge lots of devices multiple times over and if you’re charging only smartphones with the power bank, then it can very well last for a week or even more.

The 3 charging ports are very useful, but it’s best to use 2 charging ports at the same time to make most of the charging speed; since the Max Output of the power bank isn’t too high at 4A.

Design:

It’s large and heavy. Not meant to be held in the hands. So you’re going to have to set it down most of the time. It’s at least easy to use with almost all of the functional parts being on a single side.

Build:

It doesn’t have the strongest build, but it does have a solid one. Just don’t go dropping it on hard flooring.

Reliability:

If you’re searching for a power bank that has a very high power capacity, and we mean high along with lots of charging ports, then this ALLPowers power bank may be just what you’re looking for. Although it’s not the best for portability.
