Some USB wall chargers have just a single charging port, some wall chargers have 5 ports and then there’s a variant of what they offer with their charging ports. Some charging ports only offer 1 Amp charging while some push it into the Quick Charge range.

Ultimately, USB wall chargers can be versatile for what they offer, and even though they’re not exactly a portable power source, you want a wall charger that is going to provide the best charging quality.

Since being stationary and charging is already a nuisance, you want it to be fast and reliable charging and being able to charge many devices at once.

Well, here it is. This is the Anker Powerport 10 that has 10 USB Output charging port. Yes, you read that right, this wall charger has 10 charging ports and you can see that in the image above. Let’s see just how this 10 port wall charger can function and just how much power you can get from these 10 ports.

Output Charging:

There are no USB-C charging ports and there are no Quick Charge ports, so those with those kinds of compatible devices aren’t going to be getting their max charging speeds.

Each Port Offers a Fast Charging Speed

With that said, for everything else, this 10 port wall charger is very powerful and this is because all of the 10 charging ports can Output 5V/2.4A. That’s a Max standard charging rate out of each charging ports. You’ll be able to charge all of the standard charging devices at their max charging speeds until you hit the Max Output limit.

The Max Output is Very High

So yes, there’s a Max Output limit for the wall charger and it’s able to Output 12 Amps all at once. This means that you can charge 5 iPads at the same time and all of them will be charging their max charging speed of 2.4 Amps. Since 2.4 x 5 is equal to 12 Amps.

If you’re charging 5 iPads and a few more devices too, then the charging speed will be split up between the charging ports to make sure that the wall charger is only at its Max Output of 12 Amps.

However, let’s stay that you’re charging 10 devices in all and the PowerPort 10 is maxing out. Each port will be able to Output 5V/1.2A only because then the Max Output of 12 Amps will have been reached.

So ultimately, you’re not going to want to charge 10 devices at once if they’re pushing the wall charger to its max power, because if you do then the charging speed for each port will be very slow.

With that said, the wall charger is still very powerful and most of the time your devices are going to be able to charge at their max charging speeds. The fact that you can charge 10 devices at once is still very impressive. You can even charge a Macbook, but it’s best to do that while it’s either turned off or in Sleep Mode.

Size and Weight:

Of course with the Quantity and power of 10 charging ports, also comes the size and weight of that power.

It has a length of 4.4 inches, a width of 2.7 inches, and a thickness of 1.1 inches. It’s also a heavy USB wall charger because it weighs 1.8 pounds.

With all that said, it’s still a portable wall charger if you want to take it with you for traveling purposes. We know it’s large and heavy but Anker knows how to make their products in such a way that every centimeter is small enough so that it fits into even the tightest of places.

For the most, though, it’s going to be used as a stationary charging hub that many people can use at the same.

Functional Components:

On the functional side of things, the wall charger is very easy to use. It uses a Power Cord that is 5 feet long, and once that’s plugged in, the wall charger is not yet on.

To turn on the wall charger, there’s a switch on the back of the wall charger that’s used to turn it off and on. This kind of design feature is a must for something that has 10 charging ports because it provides a lot more safety.

The use of the power cord allows you to place it on your desk have all of your charging devices near you.

Build

Structure and Material:

The structure and material of the USB wall charger are solid. Sure, the wall charger is made of plastic and that’s not a very strong material but all of the pieces are placed in such a way that makes it all very strong. The wall charger is separated into 3 main pieces with the main centerpiece, and two side panels on its front and backside.

Nothing is loose and everything strong.

Tech:

With a USB wall charger that has 10 charging ports, of course, it needs to have lots of strength with its build.

This is why the Powerport 10 makes use of Anker’s Multi-Safe Protection system that uses Surge Protection, Temperature Control, and a bunch of other charging safety features to make sure that even when you’re pushing the wall charger to its limits, charging is still very safe for you and your devices.

Reliability

Yes, it’s very reliable, and we’re not even going to say that it’s not reliable for those that have Quick Charge or USB-C charging the device because each of the ports is still able to provide a Max standard charging rate of 2.4 Amps. The max output of 12 Amps can provide lots of power even when you’re charging lots of devices at the same time.

Sure, charging 10 devices at the same time ca possibly charge each device at only 1.2 Amps but that’s still charging 10 devices at once from a single device! Overall, the Powerport 10 is a highly optimized wall charger that uses lots of power and charging ports with very few compromises.
