Power

There are three USB charging outputs with this Wall charger. All of the ports are able to have an output of 2.4A charging speed. That means if you have 3 devices in the wall charger at the same time, they’re able to charge the devices at 2.4A charging speed at the same time. Although, there’s one thing about the power of the wall charger…..it can go beyond.

Wall Charger Amps

When using a single port, the Aukey wall charger is able to usher out Amps of 3.0A and even 3.5A. Although it’s not just the wall charger that makes it capable of taking out so much energy. The cable being used is an Orico Micro USB cable. It’s a explained to be a Max Power cable that can deliver charging power up to 3.0 Amps and as we can see, it delivers.

The power of the Aukey Wall charger alone is very good because it charges at a maximum charging speed of 2.4A. If you want faster charging, it’s actually possible with cables like the Orico that have the technology to transfer that amount of power. For a wall charger to be stronger than it was made to definitely concludes that power was a heavily worked on aspect for the charger.

Also, since the max output of this wall charger is 6A, it means that even when you’re using the max output with all the USB ports being used at the same time, each port can still output 5V/2.0A.

The small size of the wall charger makes it great for plugging it into an outlet and not taking up too much space. Even better, the wall charger can be taken for travel since it’s so small.

Build

The wall charger looks great with its curves, small size that can easily fit anywhere and perfectly placed USB charging ports. However, does it hold up in terms of using it regularly?

Well take a look at this:

Wall Charger Broken 1

The main part of the wall charger that actually makes a wall charger functional is not built very well. The plugs of the wall charger are not very durable, this kind of case is actually prevalent with many people who have purchased the wall charger. Plugging the charger into an outlet poses no problems but pulling the charger out of an outlet can very well take a plug pin out of its socket and as a result, makes the wall charger useless. Or even retracting the plugin and unfolding them may wear down the plugs and cause them to fall out.

This kind of build quality is simply not acceptable when it comes to what otherwise is a very good wall charger.

If this problem occurs, we recommend contacting Aukey support and asking for a replacement. There should not be an additional cost because of this problem from the company’s side because they have delivered a defected product.

Reliability

The power and the design are all there when it comes to the Aukey 3 port wall charger. However, the one flaw pertaining to the plug defect is where the reliability falls shorts.

Sure, the power from the wall charger is a standard 2.4A charging output, which is the fastest standard speed. It can even charge devices faster by using the Orico charging cable. So the power of the wall charger is clearly not a problem. Along with the power, is the small and highly portable design.

Although the wall charger cannot be reliable if it loses a plug socket, which will make everything that’s great about the wall charger useless.

Summary

Power:

Power for Aukey 3 Port wall charger is great. The 3 ports are able to provide 2.4 Amps of power. The Amp power can even be raised if you have an Orico charging cable that’s able to send out Amps of 3.0 or even higher.

Design:

It’s a simple and objective design that provides the user with absolute clarity on how to use it. The USB ports are clearly marked, the corners are rounds, it has retractable plugs and most importantly it’s about the size of a credit card.

Build:

Build quality of the wall charger could definitely use improvements pertaining to the plug pins have a high chance of being pulled out. Durability with the wall charger is not the best and as a result can render the charger useless

Reliability:

The power and portability of the charger may be very well done. Although, the fact is that you may notice the plug loosening or even fall out abruptly if you’ve got a defective wall charger. If it is defective, then there’s nothing to rely on!
