However, one thing that we found lacking was a power indicator to show that the charger is powered and ready to use.

The two USB-C ports are at the front of the charger, and neither of them has lights. It would be nice for each of them to have a Gree LED to signal that charging is happening.

Structure and Material:

The build quality of this charger is pretty good with it having a solid structure, even though it’s made of plastic.

When it comes to retractable AC adapters many people worry about the build quality. The concern is completely valid, as retractable AC adapters are known for breaking and rendering the wall charger useless.

However, for this Aukey wall charger, the AC adapter has a sturdy feel. It doesn’t shuffle around when you take it out and place it back in. It simply snaps out and snaps back in.

Tech:

Even though this charger is capable of outputting 36W of charging power, doing so does not heat up the charger as it’s not too much power, to begin with.

Reliability

You should get this charger if you intend to charge either one or two Power Delivery compatible smartphones, as each port is able to output 18W of Power Delivery charging.

Another reason is that the max output is 36W, and therefore you can use the full power of the two ports at once.

It’s not reliable for charging larger, more powerful Power Delivery devices such as laptops.
