GaN USB-C Power Delivery wall chargers are a lot more common on the market than they were a few years ago. The reason for this is because there are many more devices that are compatible with the USB-C standard of charging. What’s becoming even more common with these types of chargers that there are quite a few that are now using two USB-C ports, as it’s becoming more likely that you own two types of devices that may use USB-C for charging.

This Baseus Power Delivery GaN dual USB-C wall charger is one of those. It uses two powerful USB-C PD ports, while at the same time using a Quick Charge 3.0 port.

Power

Output Charging:

This Baseus wall charger is all about fast charging. The first two top ports are USB-C Power Delivery ports.

The first port is capable of outputting 65W of Power Delivery charging. The second USB-C PD port can output 30W of charging power. The third port is a USB-A Quick Charge 3.0 port that can fast charge Quick Charge compatible Android smartphones.

So the first port is your go-to port for charging USB-C Power Delivery compatible laptops, such as Macbooks, Chromebooks, and any other laptops that use a USB-C port to charge from. With a 65W max output from this port, you have a wider range of bases that are covered for charging laptops with this Baseus wall charger. In our case, we used the first USB-C port to charge a Lenovo Flex 5 laptop that can use USB-C Power Delivery to charge from and we got a 35W charging speed from the USB-C port. That’s the Lenovo laptop’s max charging speed.

While the Lenovo Flex 5 was charging from the first USB-C port we then started charging a Google Pixel from the second USB-C PD port, and the Google Pixel was able to fast charge. After that, we then connected an LG G7 to the Quick Charge 3.0 port, and just to note, the LG G7 is a Quick Charge compatible Android smartphone, but in this case, it did not fast charge and was only able to get standard charging.

This is because the Lenovo laptop and the Google Pixel were taking the majority of the max output of the wall charger, and with the LG G7 charging, the max output of this wall charger had already been reached.

Charging a Google Pixel and an LG G7 at the same time does result in fast charging for both devices, as there’s less of a load.

Overall, this Baseus wall charger does incredibly well with being a USB-C Power Delivery laptop charger and a fast charger for smartphones because of its max output and available ports.

Design

Size and Weight:

The form factor of this charger is unique, and you likely won’t find others on the market that look like it. That’s because the length of this wall charger is elongated. The result of this is that the wall charger does not cover surrounding outlets, and you get somewhat easier access to the ports with the wall charger being longer.

Functional Components:

The wall charger has all of the ports on the same side, of course, the ports are labeled so you know what port outputs a certain amount of power. This charger also has a built-in AC adapter that makes portability easier. Once the wall charger is plugged in there is a blue LED power light that turns on.

Build

Structure and Material:

The build quality of this wall charger is great, the charger is made of plastic, but it’s not brittle by any means. Just don’t drop it or expose it to water and you’ll be good.

Tech:

The charger does not get warm even when charging three devices at the same time. Credit for this can be given to the GaN chip that’s inside the wall charger.

This is one of the most reliable Power Delivery wall chargers that you can own. The main reasons being the fact the wall charger has two USB-C PD ports, and that each of them is very powerful. you’re able to charge PD laptops at their max charging speed and fast charge smartphones at the same time.

Summary:
