Power banks are built on innovation and the main reason for that is because they’re portable so you’re able to take them anywhere that you want. Then the next main reasons of why power banks are innovative is because they can have all sorts of capabilities that can be taken with you anywhere, and in this case, I’m talking about portable chargers having the ability to jump start cars and use 3 Output ports for charging your devices. It all starts with the portability that a power bank is able to have and what it features makes it even better.

That is why this Beatit Tech 10,800mAh Portable Car Jump Starter is one of the most innovative power banks that we have reviewed on Charger Harbor as it’s able to charge devices and jump start your car. The best part is that there’s an Input that is quite versatile.

Power

Power Capacity:

The power capacity of the power bank starts at 10,800mAh and it’s going to depend on how you’re using the power bank that will determine the Output power capacity that you’re actually going to utilize. That’s because there are 3 Output ports on the power bank that you’re able to use at the same time. That said, if you’re using just 2 USB ports at the same time, the conversion of power will most likely be average.

The Output power capacity that you’re going to receive is going to be about 8,000mAh and this is enough to charge most smartphones about 3 times to their full power if we’re talking about iPhones because they have low battery capacities in comparison to Android smartphones. Then if we’re talking about charging Android smartphones with high power capacities with this power bank then you’re able to get about 2.5 full charges for smartphones like the Galaxy S8 or the Google Pixel XL.

Charging tablets with this power bank isn’t the best idea because doing so will take out a good chunk of the power. Another reason why it’s best to conserve power with it is that you might need a jump start your car, which the power bank is capable of.

The power bank is capable of jump-starting 3.5L Gas Engine cars and also 2.5L Diesel Engine cars. It can do so about 5 times from its full power capacity.

Output Charging:

There are 3 Output ports with this power bank and these types of Output ports are not common at all when it comes to portable jump starters.

USB Port:

One of the USB ports is a standard one and it has a charging speed of 5V/2.1A.

Then the other USB port features Quick Charge 3.0 and it has a charging speed of 5V/2.0A | 9V/1.5A | 12/1.0A. This port is going to be most useful for those that own Quick Charge compatible devices as you’re going to be able to charge it at its max charging speed. That said, the Quick Charge port is also capable of charging at the standard speed of 2.1A, which basically makes it the same as the standard port if you don’t have Quick Charge compatible devices.

Type-C

Lastly, there’s the Type-C port. The Type-C port can be both used as an Output and Input. To use it as an Output port you have to use a USB-C to USB-C charging cable and that way you can charge your USB-C compatible devices. When used as an Output, the Type-C port has a charging speed of 5V/3.0A for your devices.

The Car jump starter portion of the power bank has a start current of 250A and the Peak Current is 500A.

Input Charging:

The Input port is the Type-C port and you’re able to recharge the power bank at a recharge rate of 5V/3.0A. That said, if you want to recharge this Beatit Tech power bank at its max power then you must use a Quick Charge USB wall charger. The recharge time for this charger is about 4-5 hours for its fastest recharging speed, so if you use anything lower than a Quick Charge wall charger then it would have a slower recharging time.

Size and Weight:

It’s not a large portable car jump starter at all and you’ll have no problems with portability. That’s because it has a length of 5.7 inches, a width of 3.3 inches and a thickness of 1 inches. The weight of the power bank is 11.7 ounces, so it’s not even a pound as most portable car jump starters are.

Most of the time we recommend just keeping portable car jump starters in your car, but in this case, you really don’t have to because of its lightweight and small size. Also, it makes sense to take this with you while you’re out and about because of its awesome charging capabilities.

Functional Components:

There are quite a few functional parts on the power bank and they’re in a few different places.

On the short side of the power bank is where there’s:

  • The Jump Port
  • Standard and Quick Charge USB Ports
  • Type-C Port

To the right of where the USB ports are located, the power bank has ON/OFF button that controls the power for the Jumping Port and so you use it when you’re about to jump start your car.

On top of the power bank is where there are 4 Blue Power capacity indicators lights and the power button is also there; then on the opposite side of where the power button and indicators are, is where there’s a LED flashlight.

The power button must be pressed for charging to start and it can be double tapped for turning on the flashlight. The power capacity indicators are all solid blue once the power bank is fully recharged.

Build

Structure and Material:

The build quality of this power bank is great as all of its components feel premium to use and it can withstand the occasional falls too.

Tech:

The tech side of the power bank is also really good because its batteries don’t expand. Portable Car Jumper power bank usually have a high chance of having their batteries expand because they use too much power and that basically breaks the power bank. That said, it’s not the case here because the power bank is built for its car jumping capabilities, so the batteries aren’t put under too much stress.

Just make sure that you wait a few minutes in between cranks so the power bank doesn’t get damaged.

Reliability

This is a highly reliable power bank and it’s going to be very reliable if you can use its Quick Charge and USB-C charging capabilities. Then when you add in how it’s able to jump start cars, then the power bank is really reliable to use and a must have with you whether you’re out of your car or in your car ready to start it and figure out that you have a dead battery.
