Wireless charging is thought to be a very useful charging method for a lot of people but at the same time, there are those that think wireless charging isn’t nearly as useful as wired charging. Both of those arguments are right in their own way. In general, wired charging is able to charge smartphones at a faster charging speed, and that’s the case whether your smartphone is Quick Charge compatible or not. If your smartphone is Quick Charge compatible, then, of course, wired charging with a Quick Charge charger is faster.

At the same time, wireless charging does have its place with it being a very accessible way of charging our devices as you don’t have to plug a charging cable into the smartphone at all. Another thing about wireless charging is that it is capable of fast wireless charging speeds, but it’s only compatible with select devices.

Input Charging:

Or basically a wall charger, or a desktop charger with a Quick Charge port. In this case, we used a BlitzWolf 5-port desktop charger that used a single Quick Charge port, connected the Micro-USB cable into the wireless charger and then connected the cable into the Quick Charge port.

Once that’s done, you can place any Qi-compatible smartphone on the charger to start charging. In order to know if you have Fast wireless charging happening with a Samsung smartphone, it will say on the screen of the phone and the Cooling fan on his charger will turn on. On iPhone X and iPhone 8, the fan will simply turn on to let you know that it’s Fast wireless charging.

Design

Size and Weight:

The size of a wireless charging stand or a flat wireless charger simply isn’t gonged to be a problem as basically all of the ones on the market are very small. The height of this charger is about 5 inches and the width of it is 4 inches. Ultimately, we found that the charger held no problems with finding a space on a desk.

Functional Components:

When it comes to using the CHOETECH wireless charger, it’s basically like using any other wireless charger on the market. When a smartphone is charging, the light turns Green and it stays Green for as long as the smartphone is charging and once your smartphone is fully charged the light turns off.

Build

Structure and Material:

The build quality of this charger is very good, with it using rubber pads in many places, such as where you place your smartphone, so your smartphone is completely safe from scratching any surface. The bottom of the charger also has a few rubber pads to make sure that the charger itself doesn’t slide around on a smooth surface.

Tech:

On the tech side, this CHOETECH wireless charger takes care of heat quite a bit better than other charging stands as it actually uses a fan on the back. You can see the vents at the back, and the fan turns on only when you’re using Fast wireless charging, and once the fan does turn on you can actually feel some warm air being pushed out the back.

Reliability

On the reliability scale, this is a great wireless charging stand to get if you own a Fast Wireless charging a smartphone, as you get a stand form factor that uses two coils. Also, there’s a cooling fan and a non-disruptive LED light.

That said, if you don’t have a Fast Wireless charging a smartphone, then we still think that this wireless charger is still worth it for the price point, as it’s basically future-proof just in case you do get a Samsung smartphone or an iPhone X or an iPhone 8 in the future.
