The power capacity of a power bank is one of the most important aspects of a portable charger and this is because that’s what you’re mostly going to be using.

The other main part is the charging speed and it might just be more important the power capacity because the speed of charging is going to dictate just how fast your device can refill and how long it will take to cut loose from the power bank as fast as possible.

Power banks are the best option for charging for when you’re on-the-go. With that said, it’s still inconvenient to be attached to a power source and better to free with the device that you’re using.

This DULLA 15,000mAh power bank understands part of what makes a useful power bank with its power capacity and charging ports. Although, it has its faults.

Power Capacity:

The power capacity of this DULLA power bank starts at 15,000mAh and you’re going to end up receiving a 70% of conversion rate during charging or maybe less depending on whether you’re charging 1 or 2 devices at once, and what charging speeds you’re making use of.

So a 70% conversion rate means that you’ll be able to make use of about 10,000mAh.

DULLA for Smartphones

A usable power capacity of 10,000mAh is going to be very useful as you’ll be able to charge most smartphones multiple times over.

This is going to be true for high and low battery capacity smartphones. An iPhone SE that has a very low power capacity can charge 6 times its full power when using the entire power capacity of the DULLA power bank.

On the other hand, an iPhone 7 Plus that has a whopping 2,900mAh power capacity can charge to its full power about 3.5 times which is pretty good considering that its large capacity is going to last quite a long time.

DULLA for Tablets

Charging tablets using this DULLA power banks is a really good experience as you’re able to charge most tablets to their full power. This includes Mini tablets like the Galaxy Tab, iPad Mini 2, and the iPad Mini 4, as they’re all able to charge to full power and still leave the DULLA power bank with some leftover power capacity.

If you’re charging higher capacity tablets like an iPad 9.7 inch or iPad 12-Inch Full-Sized tablets, then the power bank can also charge those to their full power. However, you’re most likely going to end up using the entire power capacity of the power bank.

Output Charging:

There are 2 charging ports and unfortunately, they don’t share the same Max Output. This is unfortunate because it means that the charging speeds are fixed for each port.

The Fast Port

5V/2.1A Port

This is the port that you’re going to want to use first because it offers faster charging speeds. Most smartphones and tablets like iPads can charge at their max charging speeds at 2 Amps of speed.

However, it’s important to note that this power bank does not feature Quick Charge, and as a result, your Quick Charge compatible smartphones will not be able to charge at their max charging speeds.

The Slow Port

5V/1.0A Port

This 1 Amp port is a major downside to this DULLA power bank because a 1 Amp speed isn’t able to charge most devices at their max charging speeds. So for the most part, this port should only be used when you’re charging 2 devices at once and this port should be used with the device that has a low charging speed.

Even though the charging port powering design isn’t exactly the best, what is quite good is that you can use the Max Output of both ports at the same time. Since the Max Output of the power bank is 3.1 Amps all at once.

Input Charging:

The DULLA power bank uses a Micro-USB Input port to recharge and it has a max recharge speed of 5V/1.5A. So you should use a 2 Amp wall charger or higher to recharge the power bank as fast as possible and that will result in a recharge time of about 5-6 hours.

Design

Size and Weight:

It’s not too large of a power bank and that’s a good thing considering that it has a high power capacity of 15,000mAh. The physical size is about the same as an iPhone 6s, except for the slimness of course.

The DULLA power bank has a length of 5.7 inches, a width of 2.6 inches, and a thickness of 0.8 inches. With that said, the main part that makes this power bank troublesome to hold is the weight of 12.8 ounces. So the power bank weighs nearly a pound and that can make it uncomfortable to hold for long periods.

Functional Components:

All of the functional parts of the power bank are on a single side.

From left to right, is where you’ll find the power button, the 2 USB Ports, and the Micro-USB Input port. On top of the power bank is where there are 4 LED power capacity indicators.

Next to each of the LED indicators is the percentage amount that each one has, a helpful improvement for reading the power capacity that’s left. Charging automatically starts when you connect a device to either of the USB ports.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entire power bank is made of plastic, and even though it does have a solid build considering that it’s made of plastic, it’s best to be careful to not drop the power bank. Since the weight of the portable charger can generate quite a lot of shock and can lead to damage.

Tech:

On the tech side, the DULLA power bank makes use of multiple safety protections to keep charging safe for you and your devices.

Reliability

If you expect to charge 2 devices at once with very fast charging speeds, then this DULLA 15,000mAh power bank isn’t going to be much help, since one of its ports offers quite a slow charging speeds. It can also be quite heavy.

Putting those 2 aspects aside, this power bank does quite a lot of things right to make it reliable. With its high power capacity, small size, and even though speed is lacking in one port, you can still charge 2 devices at once.

Putting all of its parts together, this power bank going to be very useful for a long-lasting portable power source.

Summary:

Power:

The Output power capacity, even though it’s lower than the initial one, is still enough to charge smartphones and tablets multiple times over. 2 Charging ports are helpful, just be aware that one is slower than the other one.

Design:

Even with its high power capacity, the power bank isn’t too large. Instead, the high capacity attributes itself to the weight of the power bank as it weighs nearly 1 pound.

Build:

There’s nothing too special about the build, but the power bank is solidly built in its physical and tech parts.

Reliability:

What makes this power bank reliable is its power capacity, 2 charging ports, and size. Without getting too much into details, this DULLA power bank is very reliable on the surface and it still holds when you dig deeper.

The capacity is high enough to charge devices multiple times over and you can charge 2 devices at once. It does have its faults with slow charging with one of its ports and a quite a heavyweight.
