Power banks that have their cables are among the most helpful type of power banks and this is because of their reliability.

It’s quite easy to leave your house with a portable charger and forget your charging cable because the only charging cable that you use most of the time is connected to a USB wall charger.

With that said, there’s a solution, and the solution is simply by using a power bank that has a built-in charging cable. By doing so, the charger that you have on you will always be useful no matter where you go.

This is the FlyHi LCD 10,000mAh power bank that has 2 built-in charging cables. One cable is dedicated to recharging the power bank and the other one is for charging other devices.

Power Capacity:

The power capacity of this FlyHi power bank starts at 10,000mAh and you’re not going to lose a lot of power because the charging speed of the ports isn’t too fast; so the conversion of energy from the power bank and to your device is smooth.

3.7 x 10,000 = 37,000 / 5 = 7,400mAh

Most of the time you’re going to be receiving an Output power capacity of 7,400mAh that you’ll be able to use.

It’s a good conversion rate that the power capacity goes through because you’re able to charge a wide range of devices to their full power a few times over.

Charging Smartphones

Charging smartphones is the best option for a power bank like this because most smartphones are going to be able to charge to full power. Just take a look at smartphones with high battery capacities first, such as the Galaxy S7 that has a capacity of 3,000mAh.

Since it has a 3,000mAh capacity, the FlyHi power bank will able to charge a Galaxy S7 to its full power at least twice.

So if you own a smartphone with a capacity lower than 3,000mAh then you’re able to charge it to its full power at least 2 times or more.

Charging Tablets

The FlyHi power bank can also charge tablets to full, however, it’s important to know that if you’re charging tablets to full power, then it’s going to take the entire power capacity to do so.

This is because tablets like the iPad Mini 2 or iPad Mini 4 have high enough power capacities that they would leave the charger with only about 1,000mAh of 2,000mAh capacity.

Charging a tablet like a Galaxy Tab will result in the FlyHi power bank having about 3,000mAh of leftover power because most Galaxy Tabs have power capacities of 4,000mAh.

Output Charging:

There are 2 Outputs on this power bank. One Output is the built-in charging cable and the other one is the USB port.

Built-In Cable:

The part of the power bank that makes it great is also somewhat mediocre and that’s because the built-in Micro-USB cable has a charging speed of 5V/1.0A.

Most Android smartphones that are new or even older ones are now able to recharge faster than just a single amp.

As a result, if you’re recharging your Android smartphone with the Micro-USB built-in cable then it most likely won’t be charging at its max charging speed.

With that said, the built-in cable is most reliable for its usability, rather than its charging speed. At least you’ll always be able to recharge your Android devices or any device that requires a Micro-USB to recharge.

The Built-In cable is Removable

So actually, there are two USB ports with the power bank because the built cable can be removed which means that the Micro-USB Built-in cable that has a 1 Amp charging speed is just a USB Port that has a 1 Amp charging speed.

By removing the Micro-USB cable, you’re left with another USB port that can be used by any charging cable, and as a result, this a 2-port power bank rather than just a single port power bank.

USB-Port:

The USB port has a faster-charging speed than the built-in cable, and its charging speed is 5V/2.1A. It’s very convenient to have this USB port because you’re able to use any charging cable with it.

This means that you can charge 2 devices at once with this power bank. If you have a Micro-USB cable on hand and want faster charging for your Android devices or other devices, then it’s best to use the USB port because it has a faster charging speed.

Input Charging:

There are two ways to recharge the power bank. You can either use the built-in USB cable to recharge the portable charger by simply connecting it to a USB wall charger or you can use the Micro-USB Input port.

Even though there are 2 ways to recharge the power bank, you can only one recharge option at a time.

The Max recharge rate is 5V/1.5A, so if you want to recharge the FlyHi power bank as fast as possible then you must use a 2 Amp USB wall charger.

Design

Size and Weight:

It’s a manageable power bank that you can take anywhere and you won’t have too many problems holding it in your hands while you’re on the go.

It has a length of 4.8 inches, a width of 3 inches, and a thickness of 0.8 inches. It may be able to fit into your back pocket.

The weight is quite good at only 9.9 ounces. So it does have a bit of weight to it but it’s nothing too overwhelming.

Functional Components:

The functional parts are a bit everywhere and but the power bank is still easy to use.

On one side is where there’s the USB Port and the Micro-USB Input port.

Then on the two long sides is where there’s the other USB port where the built-in cable is plugged into and on the opposite side is where there’s the Micro-USB cable.

At the front, the power bank is where there’s an LCD Power capacity display. The power capacity display uses 3 digits rather than tell the power capacity and it’s a lot more useful than just a few digits to tell the power capacity that’s left. Nex to the LCD is the power button.

Charging does not start automatically when you connect a device using the power bank, and so you must press the power button to begin charging.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entire power bank has a solid build. Even with it being made of plastic the power banks hold strong through most situations; by even being able to withstand drops on your hard flooring from a relatively low height. Perfect for everyday use.

Tech:

On the tech side, it uses the standard kind of safety tech that most power banks use to keep the power bank and yourself safe during charging.

Reliability

This is a highly reliable power bank, with that, said, it’s mainly meant for Android users.

This is because the FlyHi power bank only has a version that uses a built-in Micro-USB cable; or in other words, it only has a version that uses a Micro-USB that’s able to contour itself around the power bank.

With that said, the ability to take out the Micro-USB cable means that this is a 2 Port power bank that allows you to use any charging cable with it. It’s just that if you’re using another cable in the place of the Micro-USB cable that came with the power bank, then it won’t contour as well along the power bank.

The use of an LCD screen to tell the power capacity is quite helpful as it’s a more accurate way of telling the capacity.

Summary:

Power:

The power capacity is high enough to charge most smartphones multiple times. The USB port with 2.1A charging speed is the one that you should use since the other one offers slower charging.

Design:

It has a manageable size and weight that allow you to place the FlyHi power bank into your pocket or you can just hold the power bank in your hand and charge your smartphone devices.

Build:

Even though this isn’t a Rugged power bank, it still has quite a rugged build with its thick plastic shell and great structural design.

Reliability:

Even though the Micro-USB cable that comes with the power bank is removable, and as a result, makes it into a 2 port power bank; the cable that comes with the power bank is what makes it most reliable because of its contours with the charger.
