Most USB wall chargers that have lots of charging ports, like in the 5 to 6 Port range, have all their charging ports quite close together.

This kind of design is very prevalent with lots of USB wall chargers on the market. However, even though it’s to make a wall charger that has lots of charging ports more compact, the closeness of charging ports can result in things looking unorganized when you have lots of devices connected to the USB charger.

In this case, this iClever 6 Port Wall charger is designed very differently than most USB wall chargers that also have 6 charging ports because its charging ports have more space in-between them, and even though it’s larger, we think it’s necessary for a better user experience.

Output Charging:

There are 6 USB charging ports in total on the wall charger. 5 of the charging ports use SmartID technology which is another way of saying that 5 of those ports can Output 5V/2.4A. The other 1 port uses Quick Charge 3.0 technology that has charging speeds of 3.6/6.5-3A | 6.5/9V-2A | 9/12V-1.5A.

The Max Output of the USB wall charger is 8.4A.

Just How Good is the Charging?

Most standard devices will be able to charge at their max charging speeds with the SmartID charging ports and if you have a Quick Charge compatible smartphone then you should use it with the Quick Charge port.

Charging stats for the LG G7 charging from the Quick Charge port

You can charge 3 iPads at the same at their max charging speeds because when you’re charging 3 iPads, that’s 2.4 x 3 and that equals 7.2A which is lower than the Max Output.

If you’re using all the charging ports and you’re using the charger at its Max Output of 8.4A, then each of the charging ports will have a charging speed of 5V/1.4A.

Design

Size and Weight:

Even with having its charging ports further apart than most 6 port wall chargers, the iClever Quick Charge wall charger isn’t too large but is still quite heavy.

It has a length of 3.9 inches, a width of 2.6 inches, and a thickness of 1.2 inches. The weight of the charger is 13.6 ounces. It’s very portable if you want to take it for traveling purposes.

Functional Components:

The wall charger’s design is the main part that makes it great. This is because it has a flat surface and the charging ports are at the top of the charger, instead of the side where most USB ports are.

At the bottom is where there are rubber pads so the charger can say in one place and not slide or fall over. The charging ports have good spacing to them which makes connecting lots of devices at once an organized thing to do.

It uses a power cord that’s 5 feet long that allows you to place it on your computer desk, and once the USB wall charger is connected, there’s a single Blue light that turns on to signal that it’s ready for charging.

Build

Structure and Material:

There’s nothing too special about the structure build quality because it’s just made of plastic. With that said, there are many separate pieces because all that’s used is a top, bottom, and one large centerpiece to make the wall charger whole.

Tech:

On the tech side, the wall charger does make use of very necessary tech like Current-Control, Short-Circuit, Surge Protections, and Temperature control for when charging is being taken to the limits.

Reliability

Even though most wall chargers are generally the same, this one is not. This is because of its design that can give a better experience of use.

You can more easily access the charging ports because they’re right on top, and things are going to look less hectic when you have lots of devices charging.

Each of the charging ports can deliver fast charging because those that own a Quick Charge compatible device can charge their smartphone at max charging speeds because there’s a Quick Charge 3.0 charging port that is compatible to use with both Quick Charge 3.0 and 2.0 devices. The design and power are both very reliable to use.
