The usage of Power Delivery charging tech is spreading faster. The reason for that is because the standard USB-C that is compatible to use with Power Delivery charging is becoming more commonly used with many types of devices. So now there are smartphones, laptops, and tablets that use USB-C Power Delivery charging. The main benefit of this is that you’re able to charge all those types of devices with the same charger.

Right here we’re reviewing this iMuto 45W Power Delivery wall charger. This charger uses powerful PD charging speeds, and at the same time, it has a USB-A port that allows you to charge another device at the same time too.

Power

Output Charging:

USB-C Power Delivery Charging

When it comes to third-party Power Delivery chargers, most of them use 30W of charging power with their USB-C port. 30W of charging power is actually a good amount of charging power that can charge a few USB-C PD compatible smartphones and even laptops at their max charging speed. However, that’s not the limit of Power Delivery charging and it can even better if you have a Power Delivery charger that’s capable of outputting more charging power.

This iMuto USB-C Power Delivery wall charger is actually capable of outputting 45W of charging power. To break down that charging, it’s: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/2.25A.

So you’re able to charge other USB-C Power Delivery compatible devices at a faster charging speed.

USB-A Port

There is also a USB-A port on this charger that you can use with any charging cable and that can be useful if you want to charge another device at the same time that you’re charging your Power Delivery compatible device with. That said, this USB-A port is really only an extra addition to this charger and not really the main part of this charger. It does have a 5V/2.4A charging speed, though, which is basically a fast standard charging speed.

Max Output:

The max output of this iMuto Power Delivery wall charger is 57W. This means that you can actually use the max power of the USB-C port (45W) and the max power of the USB-A port (12W), at the same time. So even with the few ports that this charger does have, you’re at least able to use the max power of both ports at the same time.

Design

Size and Weight:

The benefit of getting this charger is that it’s a wall charger, meaning that it’s small and you’re more able to take it everywhere more easily. The charger has a length of 3.5 inches, a width of 2.5 inches, and the thickness of the charger is 1 inch. The weight of the charger is 8 Ounces. Very small and easier to take everywhere, and another nice factor is that the charger has a retractable AC adapter.

Functional Components:

Using this charger iMuto Power Delivery wall charger is the same as any other wall charger. You just plug the AC adapter into an AC outlet and you’re ready to use the charger. Both the USB-C and USB-A port are on the same side of this charger.

The one negative part of the design is the charger doesn’t have a light to indicate that it’s getting power and ready to use.

However, something that’s quite cool is the charger actually comes with a UK and EU adapter that you can plug into the US built-in adapter. So you can use this charger overseas.

Build

Structure and Material:

The build quality of this charger is very good and that’s rather surprising when you consider that iMuto is a very small brand.

Tech:

If you’re using the max output of 57W of this charger, then this charger can very well get warm, that’s a lot of charging power that’s being fit into a very small form factor.

Reliability

This is a very reliable Power Delivery wall charger, and one of the best parts is that the USB-C Power Delivery port has a 45W output. Higher than the average 30W of charging power. Another thing is the use of a USB-A port is helpful if you want to charge two devices at once with this charger. The best part is that you can use both ports at their max power at the same time.

Summary:

Power:

Charging power with the USB-C port is faster than the average 30W Power Delivery charging speed, so you can charge more powerful PD compatible devices at their max charging speed, or at least faster.

Design:

It’s a very small charger that is easy to use, with its use of a retractable AC adapter and it also comes with an EU and UK adapter. The lack of a light does put us off, though.

Build:

The charger will get a little warm if you’re using the max output of the charger.

Reliability:

It’s a very reliable Power Delivery wall charger and we highly recommend purchasing it if you’re searching for more charging power when it comes to Power Delivery. At the same time, this charger is perfect for if you want to charge another device at the same time, too.
