A power bank that has a small power capacity means that it’s a small power bank. Small power banks are very useful when you want to take portable power with you anywhere because these power banks with small capacities are able to be lightweight so they’re easy to hold and they’re also small enough that they can fit into your pocket. With that said, it’s also important to know that most of the time, these kinds of power bank are only going to be good for 1 or 2 full charges for your smartphone and that most of them of have 1 charging port only.

In this case, this Kans 4,000mAh power bank has a few unusual traits that you wouldn’t expect and even though they seem quite silly to have, these charging capabilities are still useful to use.

Power Capacity:

How Much Power You can Get

The power capacity of this Kans power bank starts at 4,000mAh and it actually has quite a good conversion rate of 75% and that going to leave you with about 3,000mAh of usable power.

Mostly Meant for Charging Smartphones

Overall, the power bank is mainly mean to be used with smartphones because if you own a smartphone like a Galaxy S7, an iPhone 7 Plus or a Google Pixel; those smartphones that have power capacities of near or at 3,000mAh, then you’re going to be getting one full charge. Of course, you might own a smartphone that has a lower battery capacity in the 1,500mAh range and those might be able to charge 2 full times.

For the most part, using this power bank with a smartphone is the ideal way to use it. Charging tablets with the Kans power bank is going to charge Mini tablets about halfway through only.

Output Charging:

Surprisingly there are two charging ports on this 4,000mAh power bank, or should we say, a 3,000mAh power bank that’s actually how much you’ll be using.

One of the charging ports has a charging speed of 5V/1.0A and the other charging ports have a charging speed of 5V/2.0A.

It’s best to use the 2 Amp charging port at all times and to use the 1 Amp charging ports only when you’re charging two devices at once. With that said, it’s very important to remember that charging 2 devices at once will split up the power capacity, and so if you’re charging two smartphones at once, both of them will mostly only charge about halfway through.

Input Charging:

The Kans power bank has a recharge speed of 5V/1.0A using a Micro-USB. As long as you’re using a 1 Amp wall charger or higher to recharge the power bank, it’ll be fully recharged within 3-4 hours.

It’s a small and light power bank that you’re going to easily be able to take anywhere.

This is because it has a length of 3.8 inches, a width of 2.4 inches and a thickness of 0.3 inches. The weight of the power bank is 2.4 ounces. Very small and lightweight; you can even fit the power bank into your pocket.

Functional Components:

On the short side is where there’s two USB charging ports and in the middle is the Micro-USB Input port.

On the long side of the power bank is a power button; lastly, on top is where you’ll find 4 Blue LED power capacity indicators.

Charging automatically starts when you connect a device to the charging ports and charging stops when there aren’t any devices connected to the power bank.

Build

Structure and Material:

The Kans power bank is made plastic, and it’s actually built quite well. It can take light falls but nothing too serious.

Tech:

On the tech side, the power bank makes use of the basic tech features to keep you and your devices safe during charging. It doesn’t overheat.

Reliability

We think the Kans power bank is going to be most helpful for those that are always on-the-go and only expect one full charge from this power bank. This is because that’s the reliability that this power bank can offer with its power capacity and size.

This power bank is not going to charge a smartphone multiple times, or at least not most smartphones, and charging two devices at once just seems unnecessary.
