Whether you need it for work, leisure, or security, a flood light is a versatile light source because of its insanely high brightness. With so many types of flood lights on the market, it can be challenging to know which one to get; most of them are very bright, but they still vary with Lumen output. You also have to consider the design and functionality of the flood light, such as being able to hang the light from a ceiling.

In this review, we’re looking at this LEPOWER 15,000 Lumen 150W flood light. After testing this LEPOWER flood light, we must say that this is a good choice if you’re searching for a simple to use and incredibly bright one. Best of all, it comes at a reasonably low price.

Brightness

If you’re concerned about whether this LEPOWER flood light is bright, don’t be. The light has a 15,000 Lumen brightness that is more than enough to brighten a room and can be used for working, such as when you’re painting, installing lights, or doing any other type of work that is made easier with more light exposure. We don’t think you’ll need more than one light indoors. However, you may if the space is too large.

For outdoors, this floodlight is excellent for lighting your driveway or your backyard. If the space is narrow enough, one of these lights will suffice. However, if you’ve got a large outdoor area to lighten up, then two will get you precisely what you need. That’s the significant part of 15,000 Lumen floodlights; you don’t need many because one is already bright enough for most needs, and getting another of these lights may blow you away with just how effective it is.

For our needs, we used this LEPOWER flood light in a backyard and found one of these to be perfect. It lit up nearly the entirety of the space and then some. It’s best to place your flood light in a position that spreads the most light around, but also remember that bugs will be attracted to it, so it’s best to keep it at a bit of a distance. We had two cats that escaped our house hanging out in the backyard, and somehow, we were lucky enough to have a deer in the yard while we took photos of the floodlight, too. The floodlight was able to illuminate everything with ease.

Overall, 15,000 Lumens from the flood light is incredible and will brighten up nearly most spaces. The 150W from this LEPOWER light is equivalent to a 750W halogen light.

Design

Since it has such a high brightness, the size of this flood light is decent, with a 12.7 x 12.4 form factor, so it’s a square. The light weighs 6.7 pounds. Not a large light considering how much brightness it can put out, and the placement of this light is versatile because of the back kickstand.

The kickstand can be moved 180 degrees and fixed at any angle. You can also use the kickstand to screw in the light to a ceiling because there are holes in the handle. Also, at the back is where you’ll find the power cord and the light switch connected to the power cord.

As easy as it is to use the light, because you have to plug the cable into an outlet and use the switch to turn it on; the 4-foot power cord gives you a pretty limited reach, so make sure that you have a long extension cable that you can run inside your home or better yet, you could use a power station as we did. Specifically, it used an AlphaESS AP1000 power station to power this flood light, and it worked perfectly.

Build

This LEPOWER flood light’s build quality is vital, one of the first things we noticed right out of the box. The structure’s shell is made of Aluminum, which gives it excellent rigidity and keeps it cool. Around the glass front is a metal rim that holds the glass protected in the event of a fall. The light has an IP66 water-resistant rating, which can withstand rain and most other water splashes. However, you should not submerge the light in water as that will damage it.

 

The rated life of the LEDs is 50,000 hours, so you will be able to use this flood light for a long time.

The LEPOWER 15,000 Lumen 150W flood light is one of the most versatile and bright flood lights that you can buy. For the most part, just one of these can fit most needs because the light is just that bright. The ease of usability with a power cord and switch gives peace of mind, but you will likely have to use an extension cord or a power station like we did.
