Just how much power capacity is lost during charging? Well, the MAXOAK has an average conversion of 70% and that’s going to leave you with 35,000mAh of useable power.
This is mainly because there’s going to be a lot of things charging at once when you use the power, the power banks use Lithium Polymer batteries, and of course, there’s power lost through charging cables. Since you’re going to be charging many devices at once, there’s going to be power lost throughout each charging cable.

How does the MAXOAK 50,000mAh Charge Tablets
It’s also a good power bank for charging tablets and this time this isn’t just true for charging Mini tablets, but let’s go over those first anyway. If you’re charging smaller tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, then the power bank will be able to charge them about 7 times to full power.
Or if you’re charging an iPad Mini 2 or iPad Mini 4 then they’ll be able to get 5-6 full charges.

Output Charging:
Even though a lot is going on with the charging side, it’s easy to make sense of and this is the second strongest point of the power bank after the power capacity being the first.
Charging with the USB Charging Ports
There are 4 USB charging Ports. Two of the USB ports have a charging speed of 5V/2.1A and the other 2 charging ports have a charging speed of 5V/1.0A.
5V/2.1A charging Ports:
Both of these charging ports are the ones that should be your first choice when using any of the 4 charging ports because they offer the faster-charging speed.
They’re able to charge most smartphones at their max charging speed, however, the power bank does not feature Quick Charge and therefore, Quick Charge smartphones will not be able to charge at their max charging speeds.
With that said, both these ports are still powerful and they’re perfect to use with tablets too because they can charge some tablets at their max charging speeds and the charging speed comes close to charging iPads at their max charging speed of 5V/2.4A.
5V/1.0A charging Ports:
You should only be using these 2 charging ports if you’re already using the two 2.1A charging ports, this is because both this only offer 1 Amp charging speeds and that’s slow charging for most smartphones and tablets.

Charging with the DC Output Ports
There are 2 DC Output charging ports. One provides more power than the other but either way, they’re able to charge compatible laptops or digital cameras. Also, it’s important to know that you can use all 4 of the USB charging ports and 1 DC Output port all the same time.
DC 20V/3A Output:
This DC port can charge most Laptops and if you check out the Amazon page of the MAXOAK power bank, then you can see that it comes with 11 different kinds of connectors for many different Laptops. With that said, the power bank cannot charge MacBooks.
Also, before purchasing, check the charging power that is needed to charge your Laptop which can most likely be found under the Laptop or on the power brick that it uses for charging.
DC 12V/2.5A Output:
The other DC Output port has a slower charging speed and MAXOAK has said that this DC port is most useful for charging Digital cameras. Even though it can be used for that purpose, it can also be used to charge Laptops as well and any other devices that have charging needs that fit its Output.
Input Charging:
It uses a DC Input to recharge itself and for a 50,000mAh power bank, it recharges very quickly because the Home charger that the power bank comes with can recharge the MAXOAK portable charger at 16.8V/2.5A. As a result, the power bank can recharge to full power within 6-8 hours.

Design
Size and Weight:
Portability is not the strong point of the MAXOAK power bank because it’s large and very heavy. Yes, it’s portable but in a more eventful manner of taking this on a road trip, for camping or taking to the library because you can freely sit anywhere you want without having to be next to an Outlet.
It has a length of 8.1 inches, a width of 5.3 inches, and a thickness is 1.3 inches. The weight of the power bank is 2.7 pounds. So for the most part, this going to be set down, and it’s going to be placed into a bag for when you’re taking it places. Luckily it does come with a container/bag to place the power bank in.
Functional Components:
All of the functional parts of the high capacity power bank are on a single side and we mean everything. This includes the 4 USB charging ports, the 2 DC Output ports, the power button, 4 LED power capacity indicators, and the Input port. Charging does not start automatically, so you must press the power button to begin charging.

If you know what you’re getting with the large size and weight, then the MAXOAK power bank is a very reliable portable charger.
