There are a host of wireless chargers on the market; some are charging stands, others are pads, and there are wireless chargers with multiple charging coils, and many of them have varying charging speeds. If you’re looking for fast charging, then a wireless charger isn’t the best option, as wireless charging is much slower than wired charging for most smartphones. You’re going to want to use a wireless charger for the convenience of not having to plug a cable into your phone.
This MOMAX wireless charging is a niche type because it uses magnets to attach itself to the iPhone 12 or iPhone 13. Using other phones with this MOMAMX MagSafe wireless charger is not the best idea, so let’s look at how it performs.
Power
Output Charging:
Charging power from this MOMOAX wireless charger is similar to other wireless chargers, featuring 7.5W fast wireless charging for iPhones and up to 15W for compatible Android smartphones. You also get 10W fast wireless charging for Android phones, too, and it just seems that MOMAX mentions the 15W as the max output. If your phone is compatible with wireless charging but not fast wireless charging, then it will, by default, get a 5W charge rate.
In our testing, we charged both a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and a Galaxy S20; both are compatible with up to 10W fast wireless charging; therefore, both phones could fast charge wirelessly. When it comes to charging wireless iPhones, iPhone X, iPhone 8, and any newer models, they will charge at 7.5W.

Input Charging:
Even though there isn’t a charging cable going into your phone, this MOMAX wireless charger still uses a cable that needs to be plugged into a wall charger. MOMAX recommends that you use at least a 20W USB-C Power Delivery wall charger to power this wireless charger of theirs; this way, you can get the most charging power from it.
Design
Size and Weight:
This is a tiny wireless charger. It has a 2.3-inch diameter and a 0.2-inch thickness. The charger weighs 3.8 ounces.
You can use this as a wireless charging pad, and that’s what we did when we charged a Samsung Galaxy S20 and a Galaxy Note 9. However, it’s not ideal for charging non-MagSafe smartphones as this is such a small wireless charger, so getting your phone to align in the center and charge is a hassle.
Due to its small size and excellent magnetic capability with MagSafe, it’s best to use MOMAX wireless charger with iPhone 12 or the iPhone 13, as the small size of this charging pad won’t matter as it will automatically affix itself to the center of these phones and attaches to them, too.
Functional Components:
Using this charger is very simple as it’s just like using any other wireless charger. The charger has a 1.2-meter UBS-C cable attached to it, and that has to be plugged into a USB-C wall charger; once plugged in, the wireless charger is powered and ready to use.
You’ve already seen photos of this MOMAX wireless charger, but we have to say that this one looks incredible. It has a clear glass front where you can see the charging coils and the magnets that are used to attach to the iPhone 12 or the iPhone 13, most chargers don’t have this design, and it looks incredible.

Build
Structure and Material:
The build quality of this MOMAX wireless charger is excellent. It has a tempered glass front and an aluminum alloy casing. The charging cable has a non-bendable part that attaches to the wireless charger, and the cable itself is braided. Since the functionality of a wireless charger depends heavily on the cable’s build quality, it’s built very well and won’t break apart easily.
The magnets that attach to MagSafe compatible devices are powerful, and we tested a Baseus earbuds case compatible with magnetic wireless chargers. The charging case stuck to this very well.
Tech:
When it comes to wireless charging, your phone and the wireless charger will generally get warm, and the same thing happens with this one, which is entirely normal.
Reliability
It’s best to get this MOMAX magnetic wireless charging pad if you have an iPhone 12 or an iPhone 13, as these phones can make full use of the magnetic attachment of this charger. Other phones cannot.
