The power capacity of the MyCharge AmpProng power bank starts at 6,000mAh and the Output power capacity that you’ll be able to use is quite average.
Just doing some simple math with: 3.7 x 6,000 = 22,200 and then 22,200 / 5 = 4,44o. So in the end, during charging, you’re going to lose about 1,500mAh of power capacity and that’s going to leave you with 4,440mAh of power that you can use.
Charging Smartphones
Using the Output power capacity to charge smartphones is going to be the main usage for this power bank because most smartphones can charge to full power at least once and possibly twice.
Smartphones like a Galaxy S7 or a Google Pixel can charge about 1.5 times to their full power when the My charge power bank is at its max power.
For the most part, the power capacity going to be most useful for charging smartphones.
Charging Tablets
However, the power capacity is still high enough for charging tablets, but then on the mini side. So charging an iPad Mini 2 or iPad Mini 4 will result in a single full charge.
With that said, if you are going to charge an iPad or any other high capacity device with similar stats, then just realize that it’s going to take nearly the entire power capacity of the power bank to recharge the device.

Output Charging:
The power bank uses 2 charging ports and this is quite strange because 6,000mAh isn’t exactly enough for the use of 2 ports but it works just well enough.
Also, the charging speed and how the charging speed is designed is done quite well.
This is because each of the ports is capable of charging at 5V/2.4A charging speed. 2.4 Amps is a max standard charging speed that’s able to recharge most small portable devices at max charging speed.
This is true for iPads; as iPads have a max charging speed of 2.4 Amps.
The Mycharge power bank does not feature Quick Charge though, and as a result, it will not be able to charge Quick Charge compatible devices at their max charging speeds.
There’s also a very important part of the charging speed and ports that you need to know. Even though the max charging speed of each port can be 2.4A, the Max Output of the power bank is 2.4A as well.
So if you’re charging 2 devices at once, then each port may only be able to charge at 1.2A charging speed.
So if you want to charge your device as fast as possible, then it’s best to charge it alone, otherwise, the Max Output will be split between the charging ports.

Input Charging:
The MyCharge power bank does not use a Micro-USB Input port, instead, it has a built-in AC Adapter that you use to recharge it.
Simply plug the AC Adapter into an AC outlet and it’ll begin to recharge. The max recharge rate is 5V/2.0A and luckily, you don’t have to worry about using the right USB wall charger because it doesn’t need one.
It’s able to recharge within just 3-4 hours once you connect it to an AC Outlet.

The MyCharge AmpProng is portable but it does have the setbacks that make it difficult for on-the-go purposes. This is because of its bulkiness since it has a rather long length and large thickness.
The length of the power bank is 5.9 inches, the width of 3.9 inches, and the thickness of 1.1 inches. The weight of the power bank is 8.1 ounces, so it weighs half a pound.
It’s not too large of a portable charger, but then again, it’s not exactly very small either. This won’t be fitting into a pocket or at least not very comfortable in your pocket, and for the most part, you’re able to hold it.
Functional Components:
On 3 different sides of the power bank is where all the main features are located.
On one side is where there’s 2 USB charging ports. Then on the long side of the power bank is where the power button and 4 White LED power capacity indicators are located; then on the opposite side is where the AC Adapter is located.
Charging automatically starts when you connect to any of the two USB ports and if charging doesn’t start automatically then you can press the power button to manually start charging. The power button can also be pressed to check the remaining power capacity.
The AC Adapter is foldable in the power bank and that’s what makes the portability pretty good.
