Power banks are overall a very versatile charging electronic, one of the main reasons is because they’re a portable power source. As a result, they’re able to charge on-the-go with us anywhere. With that said, that means they’re able to do a lot more than just have a power source and use a charging cable. Other technologies can be implemented to make using them a lot more convenient.

This MyCharge Transit power bank is one those portable chargers that uses some various technologies and brings it into one simple pack.

Power

Power Capacity:

The MyCharge Transit does not have that large of a power capacity at all and this is because it starts at 3,000mAh. It only uses a single charging port, and as a result, the power capacity goes through quite a regular conversion rate.

3.7 x 3,000 = 11100 / 5 =2,220mAh

So while charging, you’re going to lose about 800mAh of power and it’s going to leave 2,220mAh of power capacity that you’re able to use towards charging your device. An Output power of 2,220mAh is going to be most useful for charging smartphones and in most case, it’s able to charge a smartphone to full power.

However, with newer smartphones that have larger capacities of 2,800mAh to 3,500mAh; the MyCharge Transit will at least come close to charge smartphones to full power with those battery capacities. So the power capacity of the Transit is meant for charging smartphones only, as charging larger capacity devices like Tablets will not charge them to full power, or even close to full power.

With all that said, the MyCharge Transit’s power capacity isn’t exactly the highlight of the power bank. No, instead it’s the charging capabilities that it has.

Output Charging:

The MyCharge Transit has a single charging port and it has a charging speed of 5V/2.4A.

A 2.4 Amp charging speed is a Max Standard charging speed that is able to charge most USB chargeable devices at max speed. Most smartphones are able to charge at max speeds, as well as tablets like iPads because they have a max charge rate of 2.4A. However, the power bank does not feature Quick Charge and as a result, it will not charge Quick Charge compatible devices at their max charging speeds.

Input Charging:

It doesn’t use a Micro-USB Input port to recharge, instead, this Transit power bank can be recharged using the built-in AC Adapter. Once you connect the power bank into an AC Outlet, it recharges at 5V/2.0A and that results in the power bank being able to recharge within just 1-2 hours.

Design

Size and Weight:

The MyCharge Transit is quite small, but with its small size, the power bank is also quite beefy with some of its dimensions being just a tad bit too large for what its purpose really is.

It has a length of 3.7 inches, a width of 2.4 inches, and a thickness of 1.1 inches. The weight of the portable charger is 5.8 ounces. So the length and the width of the power bank are very small, it’s the thickness that causes some problems with fitting it into a pocket comfortably. For the most part, though, you’re able to hold the Transit in your hand and transit it anywhere with you.

Functional Components:

On 3 sides of the Transit, there are different functional parts. Such as one side having an AC Adapter to recharge the power bank, one side having the car charger, and another side having the power button, 4 White LED power capacity indicators, and the USB charging port.

Charging automatically starts when you connect a device into the USB charging port, and you can press the power button to check the power capacity that’s available. The AC Adapter and the Car charger parts are retractable into the power bank, which allows for improved portability.

Power Bank Portion of charging

So the first case of using this device is as a power bank, and just like any other power bank, you just connect your device and start charging as you’re able to take this portable charger anywhere.

Car Charger

By simply plugging the car charger end into a V12 outlet of a car, it becomes a car charger.

USB Wall Charger Mode

You can plug the AC Adapter into an AC Outlet and the power bank becomes a USB wall charger; as you’re not only able to recharge it, you can also charge devices directly.

Build

Structure and Material:

The Transit power bank is made of plastic, and all the built-in features are kept safe because they’re retractable. So if you do drop the power bank the main features are able to be kept safe.

Tech:

On the tech side, the MyCharge power bank holds onto the basic tech features that are able to keep charging safe for you and your devices.

Reliability

This power bank is more reliable just being a portable charger. It’s a portable car and USB wall charger as well. Sure, the power capacity is really low and it only has a single charging port. However, what this power bank lacks with its charging power, it makes up for with its charging abilities that make it able to transform into another type of charger altogether.

Keeping a charging cable with you and this power bank on you will result in some awesome charging reliability.

Summary:

Power:

The power capacity is quite low and for the most part, you’re really only to charge most smartphones to near full power or to their full power at least once. What really takes the cake is that this isn’t just a power bank, it’s also a car charger and a USB wall charger.

Design:

All of the charging components are retractable and make the power bank easy to carry around.

Build:

Since all components are retractable it makes the power bank’s part safe.

Reliability:

If you’re purchasing the MyCharge Transit, just keep in mind that you’re not only able to rely on its portable charging capabilities, but also its Car and wall charging powers as well.
