One of the best parts of Power Delivery is that there are different power outputs; in a way, it makes the charging tech modular depending on how much power you need. If you’re looking for a PD charger that you can mainly use to charge your smartphone, then going for a lower wattage Power Delivery wall charger is the best choice; this is especially true if you don’t have a USB-C PD compatible laptop.

In this review, we’re taking a look at this SINDOX 20W Mini USB-C Power Delivery wall charger. This one may very well be one of the smallest PD chargers that you ever use and is more basic when it comes to PD charging, but it’s still useful nonetheless.

Power

Output Charging:

The charging power from this SINOX charger is not too powerful, and that’s one of the most important parts to know. That’s because the charger has a 20W power output, and a 20W charging rate is not able to charge most USB-C laptops; in fact, we recommend not even trying to charge laptops with this charger because you likely won’t be able to charge your laptop with such a lower charging speed.

Most laptops require that you use a 30W PD output or higher, so this one is a no-go to use with a laptop.

However, we’re talking about smaller and less powerful USB-C chargeable devices; this SINDOX charger is handy. As a 20W output can fast charge most Android smartphones, and it can fast-charge iPhones. Tablets can also fast charge with a 20W charging speed, including the iPad, one of the most popular tablets. That said, just a reminder, to fast charge your iPhone with this SINDOX charger, you need a USB-C to Lightning cable as the iPhone still uses a Lightning port.

Charging a Nintendo Switch is another device that this SINDOX charger is great at. Overall, the simplicity and narrow charging make this charger worth getting if you don’t need a higher power output to charge a laptop. Also, the lower power output lends to the tiny size of the charger.

Design

Size and Weight:

As we mentioned, this may be the smallest charger that you will ever use. That’s because the charger has a length of 1.8 inches and a thickness of 1 inch. So it won’t be covering surrounding outlets, and you can basically take this charger with you anywhere you want to.

Functional Components:

It’s just like using any other charger, having to be plugged into an outlet to be used. There is no LED power light. Also, the charger does not have a foldable plug, but we think it’s unnecessary, considering how small the charger already is.

Build

Structure and Material:

This SINDOX charger has a solid build and doesn’t have any brittle features. The use of a foldable plug does add something to a wall charger that is more likely to break; since this charger doesn’t use one, it’s one less part that you have to worry about.

Tech:

The charger does heat up a little, just as all chargers do. Not only that, but the size of this charger will definitely make the charger at least a little warm while you’re using it.

Reliability

The reliability of these chargers is great for smartphones, tablets, and the Nintendo Switch and earbud cases that are charged via USB-C. When it comes to charging laptops, this SINDOX charger is not very reliable as most laptops will charge slowly with a 20W charge rate or not charge at all.

The very small size of this charger is another factor that marks it reliable because you can take it anywhere without any trouble.

Summary:

Power:

The SINDOX charger only has a single port, so you can only charge a single device at a time. The charging power is best for smartphones and tablets and is not meant for charging laptops.

Design:

The charger is very small, and you’ll barely notice it if you’re traveling with it. It doesn’t have a foldable plug that most wall chargers tend to have, but it’s not that important with its insanely small size.

Build:

The charger does heat up a little bit, which is normal and definitely something to expect for this small charger.

Reliability:

The SINDOX charger is reliable for charging smaller USB-C devices but not reliable for charging laptops.

Conclusion:

Simplicity is what this SINDOX charger is all about. With a single USB-C PD port that has a 20W power output, it’ll be able to fast charge your tablets, smartphones, USB-C earbud cases, and your Nintendo Switch if you’ve got one. It’s capable of doing all of this charging with a form factor about the size of a 5W Apple charger but four times the power.
