Quick Charge is one of the most used types of charging technologies that are used with many charging electronics. The main reason for that is because many Android smartphones use Quick Charge and so it makes sense to have chargers use the technology so the users for those devices are able to charge them faster. Portable chargers, car chargers, and wall chargers use Quick Charge and some of those types of charging electronics even use two Quick Charge ports.

However, there are barely any multi-port chargers on the market that have each of its ports using Quick Charge, expect for this Tronsmart 5-port charging station. Yes, this Tronsmart charging station does indeed have five USB-A ports that each make use of Quick Charge. So let’s take a closer look to see if this charging power is really worth it.

Power

Output Charging:

So each of the five ports on this charger uses Quick Charge, so that means you can charge five Quick Charge compatible smartphones at their max charging speed, at the same time. Yes, even at the same time. That’s because this charger has a max output of 90W. So with Quick Charge speeds outputting 18W, and multiply that by 5, and you get 90. So not only does this charger have five Quick Charge ports, but you can use all of them at Quick Charge speeds.

Another thing about charging from this desktop charging station is that each of them is able to output a charging speed of 5V/2.4A for Non-Compatible Quick Charge devices. Which is great for because a 2.4A charging speed is enough to charge other types of devices at or near their max power.

Design

Size and Weight:

Since this Tronsmart Titan Plus Plus desktop charger has five very powerful charging ports, it shows with the size of the charger. Most desktop chargers that have five ports are smaller than this charger. This Tronsmart charger has a length of 6.2 inches, a width of 3.1 inches, and a thickness of 1.1 inches. The weight of this charger is rather light though, as it weighs 10.5 Ounces, while we were expecting a few pounds.

So the charger is quite large, but at the same time, it just takes up a half-foot of a space. So just make sure that you have clear space to put it and enough space for the smartphones and other devices that you’re going to charge with it.

Functional Components:

Even with all of its powerful charging, this Tronsmart charger is still very easy to use. It uses a 1.5-meter power cord that you can connect from the back of the charger and then plug the power cord into an AC Outlet. Also at the back of the charger is a power switch that you can use to turn on and off the charger. The use of a power switch is actually very useful because you don’t have to worry about unplugging the charger to completely power it off.

On top of the charger is where there’s small Green LED power light that shows that the charger is on and ready to use. All of the USB-A ports can be found on the same side.

Build

Structure and Material:

The build quality of this charger is very good with it practically having a uni-body structure or at least that what it looks like. The charger actually has an outer shell and an inner part of it for extra protection. At the bottom is where there are four rubber pads to keep the charger in a single place if you place it on a very smooth surface.

Tech:

Since there are four Quick Charge ports with this charger, you would think that it would become hot from charging five Quick Charge compatible smartphones. However, since it’s very large, Tronsmart must-have added a large heat sink to make sure that the charger does not warm up, and that’s definitely the case with this charger.

Reliability

This Tronsmart 5-port desktop charger has a lot of charging power, both for Quick Charge compatible smartphones and for standard devices too. That said, this charger really isn’t for everyone. Sure it has fast charging but at the same time, if you don’t even own a Quick Charge compatible smartphone then there’s no point in getting this charger. Another thing is if you’re the only person in your family that owns a Quick Charge smartphone then it’s best to get a desktop charger that only uses a single Quick Charge port.

This Tronsmart Titan Plus charger is going to be most reliable if you can find a use for all the Quick Charge ports with Quick Charge compatible smartphones, rather than just for standard charging for, four of the five USB-A ports.

Summary:

Power:

Charging power is the best part of this charger as each USB-A ports features Quick Charge, and another great thing is that you can use the max power of each port at the same time.

Design:

It’s large desktop charger in comparison to others on the market, but it’s still easy to use.

Build:

The charger doesn’t get warm or hot even if you’re charging multiple Quick Charge ports at the same time.

Reliability:

This is a desktop charger that’s going to be the most useful for those that own Quick Charge smartphones and very reliable if you have a couple of family members that own a Quick Charge compatible smartphone.
