Review: Mosche 3-In 1 Power Bank

There are a lot of options that we have to charge our electronics. Car chargers are for when we’re driving, USB wall chargers are useful for stationary power and also when we want to charge many devices at once. Power banks are one of the best charging electronics though because portable power means that you can charge your devices anywhere, but the other two technologies aren’t there.

In this case, this Mosche power bank is a 3 In 1 charger. It acts as a Car, Wall and power bank charger at once and it might just be the most useful charging electronic on the market. Let’s see why.

Power

Power Capacity:

The power capacity of the power bank is only 2,600mAh, it’s not a very high power capacity at all. With that said, the goal of this charger wasn’t to provide the highest power capacity, the purpose is to be as useful as possible.

A power capacity of 2,600mAh is going to charge most smartphones at least one time and most likely a little less than a full charge because power is lost during charging. We admit that it’s not a lot of power, but it’s enough to get smartphones powered up to where they need to be.

(You would need 1,000mAh more power capacity)

The main aspect lies within all 3 of the charging abilities of the charger, since having a power capacity means that it’s a portable charger.

Output Charging:

There are 3 ways to use this charger. It can be used as a Car charger, USB wall charger, and a power bank.

Charging Speeds

Charging works the same way with all 3 of the charging ways. There are two charging ports on the power bank, and each of them are able to Output of 5V/1.5A and the Max Output of the charger is 5V/2.1A. So it doesn’t have the greatest of charging speeds, because if you’re charging 2 devices at once, then each one will be able to get 1 Amp of charging speed.

However, the main point of this power bank is just how well you can use it. I say this because this is the universal charger, as you can take with you anywhere and have the ability to charge your smartphone anywhere. Take a look at the charging options below.

Power Bank:

Just like any other power bank, you don’t have to plug it into anywhere as it already has a power capacity and you can plug your devices into the USB ports to have portable charging.

USB Wall Charger:

The power bank has a Built-in Adapter that you simply plug into an AC Outlets and it can be used as a wall charger.

Car Charger:

There’s a car charger port that’s also built into the power bank, all you have to do is just plug it into your car’s V12 outlet and it’ll be ready for charging.

Input Charging:

Not only is the USB wall charger and Car charger option used to charge your devices, but it’s also used to recharge the power bank. The Mosche power bank is able to recharge within 3-4 hours. With that said, just remember that recharging the power bank is only for the power bank portion and that you can still use the Wall and Car charger options without a power capacity.

Design

Size and Weight:

This is the 2nd part of where the power bank shines the most. Since it’s so small and lightweight that this 3 in 1 charger can be taken anywhere.

The Mosche power bank has a length of 3.1 inches, a width of 2.7 inches and a thickness of 0.9 inches. The weight of the power bank is 0.9 ounces. So it’s very portable and can be taken anywhere. In fact, if you do get this power bank, then it’s best to take it anywhere you go because it’s just that small and useful.

Functional Components:

On one side of the power bank is where there are the 2 USB ports and they’re separated by 4 Blue LED power capacity indicators. The power button is in the center of the power bank.

On the two side is where you can find the Car charger and AC Adapter. Both of them are retractable into the power bank and when done so, the power bank just becomes a block and that makes it very portable since there aren’t any protruding pieces.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entire Mosche power bank is made of plastic, but the structure is still quite solid. We have our doubts that something this small and useful could have a good build quality, but our doubts were false because the AC adapter and Car charger port are both built-in very well into the charger.

Tech:

The Mosche power bank does have a CE and RoHS certifications, and that basically means it fits the basics of both safety tech and the material that it’s using. Thankfully, even with the many ways that it can be used, there aren’t any heating problems and that can mostly be attributed to a low Max Output, which is a smart call for a device that has 3 charging ways.

Reliability

It has a very low power capacity and quite the slow charging speeds. With that said, those are not the major points of the charger.

What does dictate its reliability is that you can use this power bank in nearly every charging situation and it’ll get the job done. Portable power is just one facet. It’s going to reliable in two other major ways that you can find use in for everyday situations.

Summary:

Power:

The power capacity is enough to charge most smartphones at least once. Charging isn’t the fastest but you can use this power bank not only for portable power but also for Car and Wall charging needs too.

Design:

It’s very small, and as a result, you can take this 3 in 1 charger wherever you go.

Build:

Although it’s not Rugged power bank and you shouldn’t go dropping it, the built-in components like the car and wall charger parts are placed very well.

Reliability:

One of the most reliable power banks. Sure it might not have the highest power capacity or fastest charging speed but it acts more than just a power bank.

Specs of the Mosche 3-In 1 Power Bank:

  • Capacity:    2,600mAh
  • Output:   Per Port: 5V/1.5A       Max Output: 2.1 Amps
  • Input:     5V/1.0A
  • LED Power Indicators: 4 LED Dotted Power Capacity Indicators
  • Size: 3.1 x 2.7 x 0.9 inches
  • Weight: 0.9 Ounces

Conclusion:

Most the time when a power bank is reliable, we think of ones that have built-in charging cables or high power capacities; don’t get us wrong, though, those kinds of power banks are highly useful, but their purpose is singular.

This Mosche 3 in 1 power bank opens up doors to other charging electronic and that makes it universally useful.

Review: Stalion 5-Port Car Charger

Car chargers nowadays are very advance because they can have lots of charging ports and their charging speeds are fast. With that said, car chargers some in different shapes and sizes, some of them are longer than others, but for the most part, you should be looking out for car chargers that are small and low profile because that way they won’t get in your way and they’re overall better looking in your car.

When car chargers have more charging ports, they, of course, become bigger and most of the time, when a car charger goes into the 5 port or more range, then a separate part is created simply because there are too many charging ports being used to put onto the car charger itself.

However, that’s not the case here because this Stalion car charger has 5 charging ports and yet it all of them are on the car charger itself.

Power

Output Charging:

Each of the 5 charging ports has a charging speed of 5V/2.4A and those are very fast charging speeds, in fact, it’s the charging speed before a charger goes into Quick Charge speeds.

So each of the ports are going to charge most smartphones at their max charging speeds, except for devices that are Quick Charge compatible, because this car charger does not feature Quick Charge.

You can charge tablets like iPads at their max charging speed of 2.4A. Not only can you charge 5 iPads at once with the car charger, but all of them are going to be able to charge at their max charging speeds. This is because this Stalion car charger has the ability to Output 12 Amps all at once.

Charging 5 devices at once, with the max output of 12 Amps being reached, isn’t going to compromise the charging speeds of the ports.

Design

Size and Weight:

Putting 5 charging ports on a car charger is a very bizarre thing to do but it’s also useful. Since you don’t have to deal with multiple parts.

The length of the charger is 4 inches and the width of the charger block is 3 inches long. So it’s quite large but that’s to be expected because there are 5 charging ports on it.

Functional Components:

All of the charging ports are placed on the single block and once you plug the car charger into a V12 outlet, then a blue light appears notifying you that you can charge your devices.

Build

Structure and Material:

Almost everything on the car charger is made of plastic except for the charging block that’s made of Aluminum. There aren’t any parts that are going to suddenly come apart if you choose to pull a charging cable fast from the car charger; we say this because there are plenty of car chargers on the market that are poorly built and have pieces that fall out when you do take a charging cable out quickly from the ports.

Tech:

Safety is a high concern for this charger because it has all of its ports in a single location, and also you have to take into account that it’s a car charger. The Stalion car charger does a good job at keeping things safe because it’s able to slow down charging if things are getting too heated; as a result, it’s able to prevent a fire, and also prevents damage to your device and harm to you.

Reliability

It’s the perfect kind of car charger if you want to charge multiple times at once, so when you’re in the car with your friends and family almost all of you can charge your devices at once.

Summary:

Power:

Each of the ports has a Max Standard charging speed of 5V/2.4A and a Max Output is 12 Amps at once. You can use full power with all 5 ports at the same time.

Design:

Placing 5 ports on the car charger itself is something that isn’t very common, but it works well because you don’t have to deal with a charging block that is rather a nuisance to deal with.

Build:

The car charger is able to adjust itself to the amount of power it should outputting to make sure that it’s safely charging devices.

Reliability:

A perfect car charger for charging multiple devices at once, and charging them quickly.

Specs of the Stalion 5-Port Car Charger:

  • Output:    Per Port: 5V/2.4A     Max Output: 12 Amps
  • Input:
  • Quick Charge: No
  • LED Power Indicator: Yes
  • Size: 3 x 4
  • Weight: 6.8 ounces

Conclusion:

This Stalion car charger takes a chance with having 5 charging ports on itself because car chargers like the Anker PowerDrive 5 have it’s 5 charging ports on a separate piece; which is a good design, but having everything compact when it comes to vehicular charging is the best kind of design choice.

Review: HUNDA Car USB Charger 50W/10A 6-port

Car chargers are very helpful for charging your smartphone and any other USB chargeable device while you’re driving. With that said, it’s vital for you to get a car charger that has a powerful enough charging speed because when you reach your destination you want your device to be charged to a good amount of power. Not only that, car chargers are now able to have lots of charging ports with them so you can charge multiple devices at once at relatively fast charging speeds.

This HUNDA car charger has 6 charging ports, and the most that we’ve reviewed at Charger Harbor has been Anker’s PowerDrive 5 that has 5 charging ports, which we thought was the limit. Let’s see what this 6 port car charger has to offer.

Power

Output Charging:

Max Charging Per Port

Each of the 6 charging ports is capable of outputting 5V/2.4A charging speeds. That’s a Max Standard charging speed which is going to be able to charge most devices at their max charging speed; you’ll be able to charge a device like an iPad at its max charging speeds and most will smartphones will too. With that said, this car charger does not feature Quick Charge tech and so devices that are Quick Charge compatible will not be able to charge at their max charging speeds.

Max Output

The max output of the charger is 10 Amps all at once. This means you can potentially charge 4 iPads at once and all of them will charge at their max charging speeds because the charger will be outputting 9.6 Amps at once.

If you’re using all 6 charging ports and a Max Output of 10 Amps is being used, then each port will be able to Output 5V/1.6A. Even charging 6 devices at once won’t impede the charging speed.

Design

Size and Weight:

There are two sizes to account for. It’s the size of the charging block where the charging ports are and the car charger cable.

Size of Charging Block

The charger block has a length of 4 inches, a width of 2.5 inches and a thickness of 1 inch.

Size of the Charger

The length of the charging car charger part of the cable is 3.7 inches, so it’s going to be sticking out 3.7 inches out of the V12 socket.

The cable portion is 2 feet long and the port end side that goes inside the charging block is 1.6 inches.

Functional Components:

The charging cable part goes into the back of the charging block and you simply place the car charger head into your V12 socket. The car charger block is basically like a wall charger, with all of the charging ports on a single side in a horizontal way.

With that said, the cable portion is quite short at just 2 feet and it’s also very thick which makes it difficult to move around. So you’re going to have to depend on the charging cable that you use with your device to provide more freedom when it comes to the car charging.

There’s a Lighting symbol that turns on blue when the car charger is plugged in.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entirety of the car charger parts is made of plastic but it still holds up well enough.

Tech:

When it comes to car chargers having a lot of ports, safety is a very real concern because there are possibilities of overheating.

With that said, this HUNDA car charger uses multiple safety protection systems that are able to control the temperature through having control of the Amp current being sent out. As a result, charging can be slowed down if things get too heated.

Reliability

If you think that charging 6 devices at once in a car is something that you’re going to need, then this HUNDA car charger is exactly what you’re going to need. It’s perfect for those family and friend road trips because you can charge anywhere from 1 to 6 devices at once, not only is a number of devices that you can charge at once amazing; it’s also the speed of 2.4A per port and 10 Amps at once that’s also amazing.

Summary:

Power:

Each of the 6 charging ports is able to output 2.4A and the max output of 10 Amps at once means you can even charge 6 devices at once at relatively fast charging speeds.

Design:

It has a pretty good design with the charging block basically being a wall charger, but one of the main flaws is just how short the charging cable is and how thick it is.

Build:

The tech build does a good job to make sure that nothing gets overheated and starts a fire.

Reliability:

If you didn’t think 5 charging ports was enough, then this 6 charging port car charger can be quite helpful with its unwavering power and pretty good design.

Specs of the HUNDA Car USB Charger 50W/10A 6-Port:

  • Output:    Per Port: 5V/2.4A     Max Output: 10 Amps
  • Input:
  • Quick Charge: No
  • LED Power Indicator: Yes
  • Size: 4 x 2.5 x 1 inches
  • Weight: 6.8 ounces

Conclusion:

For the most part, car chargers are sought to be small and low profile devices. That can change depending on how many charging ports a car charger will have and the main thing to remember that charging electronics are very versatile. This HUNDA car charger has 6 charging ports and it takes on an entirely different kind of design scheme that car chargers usually don’t have.

This isn’t a flaw, though, it’s an innovation.

Review: Anker Quick Charge 3.0/USB-C 4-Port Car Charger

Most car chargers just have normal USB-A charging ports but more often than not, the charging ports on most car chargers are powerful with the ability to charge most devices at their max charging speeds. However, not many car chargers make use of special charging techs like USB-C or Quick Charge. That basically changes with this Anker car charger because it has USB-C, a Quick Charge port and 2 standards USB-A charging ports. It’s offering all the standards of charging with a car charger! This isn’t something that you see too often.

Let’s see what this uber powerful car charger has hidden under the hood and if you should get it.

Power

Output Charging:

This car charger has 4 charging ports, so there’s quite a lot of power going around. Let’s start with the 2 USB-A charging ports.

2 USB-A Charging Ports:   5V/3.0A

The standard with this car charger sets a high bar and this kind of standard is becoming very common among many of Anker’s charging electronics from their wall chargers to their power banks. We say this because the max charging speed of each of the ports including the 2 USB-A ports is 3 Amps.

For these 2 standard USB charging ports, the max charging is 5V/3.0A. So you’ll be able to charge nearly any device at its max charging speed. This is especially true if you’re charging Non-compatible Quick Charge or USB-C devices. Charging Quick Charge compatible devices will result in them being charged at or at least near their max charging speeds even when using the standard USB-A charging ports.

USB-C Port:   5V/3.0A

The USB-C port can be used by using a USB-C to USB-C charging cables, and it can only be used by devices that are compatible to use USB-C charging. The charging speed of this port is 5V/3.0A so it can charge devices that do use USB-C to charge their max charging speeds. Also, if you’ve got a Macbook that uses Type-C to charge, then you can use the Type-C port to charge your MacBook while you’re driving to your location. Not something that is commonly done but the option is there to do so.

Quick Charge 3.0 Port: 3.6-6.5V/3.0A    –   6.5-9V/2.0A    –    9-12V/1.5A

Lastly, is the Quick Charge port that can be used by Quick Charge compatible devices that are either Version 1 or 2. Charging is at its highest with 3 Amps and when charging is slowed down, then Voltage is increased making the charging speed more constant. This port is also able to deliver a max charging power to standard charging devices that don’t work with Quick Charge too, however Anker explains that the Quick Charge can only charge an iPad Pro at 1 Amp.

Overall Charging Power:

The Overall charging power is quite impressive because the car charger is able to Output 6 Amps at once. With that said, this means that you can’t use all the charging power of each port at the same time. So you’ll have to prioritize what devices you’re charging all at once if you’re charging 2 devices or more at the same time.

Design

Size and Weight:

Okay, so it’s a pretty large car charger and that’s not something that is said about car chargers in general. This mostly because the Anker car charger is packed not only with 4 charging ports but also because of the fast charging speeds that each of the ports is able to offer. So it only makes sense.

It has a length of 2.1 inches, the width of the charging block is 3.1 inches and is the best portion of the charger, and the thickness is 1.3 inches. Not that it really matters but the weight is 0.8 ounces.

Functional Components:

All you have to do is plug the car charger into your car’s V12 outlet, and once it’s plugged in a red ring around the charging block will turn on. It’s a low red light that is not distracting at all but perfect for telling where the car charger is in night time and easily plug your devices in.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entire wall charger is made of plastic and is built well. This is mostly because the charger has a Zinc Alloy finish that makes it strong and resistant to environmental effects like moisture in the air and any other effects that would make the plastic underneath degrade.

Also, all the components are placed strongly with the car charger not falling apart even when you pull it out in a quick fashion.

Tech:

It features Anker’s Multi Safe Protection system that uses an array of safety features like Short-Circuit protection, Temperature control, Total Current Limiter, and a Surge Protection. So charging 4 devices at once is safe even when you’re pushing the car charger to its limits.

Reliability

Of course, charging 4 devices makes it very reliable. The charging speeds of each of the charging ports are very fast and you’re going to get max charging for whatever devices you’re charging. You can even charge a Macbook with this car charger.

However, we found that the USB-C and Quick Charge 3.0 charging ports are mainly for those that can actually take advantage of the fast charging these ports offer. Ultimately, this car charger is more for those that use either of those charging technologies.

Summary:

Power:

It’s a really powerful car charger with 4 charging ports. Each of the charging ports has a possibility of Outputting 3 Amps of power. The Max Output limit of 6 Amps can be quite limiting so you’ll have to choose what devices you want to charge the fastest at a single time.

Design:

It’s a large one, and it’s actually larger than Anker’s PowerDrive 4 and that also has 4 charging ports. In this case, it’s big not only because it has 4 charging ports but also because each of the charging ports are very fast at charging.

Build:

Even though it’s made of plastic the Zinc Alloy finish on the car charger is what makes it strong. It uses an Anker Multi Safe Protection System.

Reliability:

For the most part, this car charger is more aim towards those that can take full advantage of the Quick Charge 3.0 port, and USB-C port.

Specs of the Anker Quick Charge 3.0/USB-C 4-Port Car Charger:

  • # Of Ports: 4
  • Output:

Both USB-A Charging Ports: 5V/3.0A

USB-C Charging Port: 5V/3.0A

Quick Charge 3.0 Port: 3.6-6.5V/3.0A    –   6.5-9V/2.0A    –    9-12V/1.5A

Max Output: 6 Amps

  • LED Power Indicators: A Red line that goes around the car charger
  • Size: 2.1 x 3.1 x 1.3
  • Weight: 0.8 Ounces

  • Comes with Welcome Guide

Conclusion:

Car chargers are at a very high point right now. They’re able to use all the charging technology that power banks and wall chargers are able to use. We’re even at a point that you can charge your laptop while you’re driving. If that doesn’t scream “progress” then we don’t know what does.

Review: Anker 50W 5-Port USB Car Charger, PowerDrive 5

pic-1

Car chargers are actually able to have many charging ports because it allows for more people to charge devices their devices at the same time. many car chargers come in different shapes and sizes but the size and design are all connected to the amount of charging ports they’re connected to. It can actually get to a point that too many charging ports can make a car charger rather too big and be obstructive but they try their best to be as small and non-obtrusive as possible.

This is the Anker PowerDrive 5, and it utilizes 5 charging ports. This is a really strange and innovative kind of design for a car charger. Take a look on how 5 charging ports fair in this Charger Harbor Review.

Power

5 Output Charging Ports | 5V/2.4A Per Port | Max Output – 10 Amps

So of course, the PowerDrive has 5 charging ports and as a result, you can charge 5 devices at the same time. Not only that, the charging speed is great with the each port being able to deliver 2.4 Amps of charging. However, the max charging Output is 10A.

This means that you can potentially connect 4 iPads to the PowerDrive 5 car charger and each of them will be able to charge at their max speeds of 5V/2.4A. Charging 4 iPads at the same time will place the Output at 9.6A, which is just at the edge of the Max charging Output. If you were to connect a 5th iPad to the car charger, then each of the ports would default down to 2 Amps, in order to equate to the max charging speed of 10A.

Even when the charging speed is maxed out, 2 Amps per port will still be able to charge tablets relatively quickly and will most definitely be enough power to charge smartphones near or at their max speed. Although, this car charger does not feature Quick Charge, so Quick Charge compatible smartphones won’t be able to charge at their max speeds.

If you are looking for Quick Charge car charger, Anker still provides Quick Charge car chargers like the PowerDrive+2 and the PowerDrive Speed 2.

Design

pic-7

So the design is much different than your run of the mill car charger because it doesn’t have the charging ports directly on the car charger. Instead, the charging ports are placed on a separate block that’s connected to the car charger with a cable.

So there are two measurements that need to be taken into account. The charging block with the ports is 3.2 inches in length, 1.7 inches in width, and 0.7 inches in thickness. It’s not that big and it’s used to accommodate the usage of 5 charging ports, which is something that isn’t done with many car chargers.

The car charger itself is 3.5 inches in length, 1.7 inches in width and 0.7 inches in thickness. Since the car charger itself doesn’t have any charging ports on it and just a cable connected to it; it’s basically the size of a 1-port car charger that’s going to be very low profile but we’re guessing that doesn’t really matter since the 5 port charging plate is going to be very noticeable.

Okay, so the design of the car charger is absolutely necessary. We’ve reviewed a 4 port car chargers in the past like Aukey’s 4-Port car charger and the Anker PowerDrive 4. These 4-port car chargers are taken to the apex of what can fit onto them and anymore charging ports would make them too large and obtrusive. Instead, the PowerDrive 5 takes a smart approach with 5 charging ports and uses a 36-inch cable to make it very versatile to move around.

Can it be obtrusive? Maybe. This is because there’s a rather long cable that the car charger uses and then you’re going to be using many cables connected to the car charger. So many cables being used can get confusing and make everything look messy.

Build

The build is something that you need to be careful of. The charging pad and the car charger itself are not something that you need worry about. Instead, it’s the cable in-between them. If the cable gets damaged, the car charger can stop working and the cable that runs between the two pieces is just like any other charging cable. Not many car chargers actually have cables because it’s just the ports ON the car chargers. So it’s important not to strain the cable, so the car charger can be constantly used.

pic-5

As for the material, both of the main pieces are made of plastic and they’re structurally strong, but what mostly matters is what’s inside of them. Inside is Anker’s Multi-Safe Protection System that utilizes many safety tech features like Voltage-Control, Surge Protection, Current-Stabilizer and Short-Circuit Protection.

However, the most useful type of tech is the use of PowerIQ and Voltage Boost that are able to deliver a lot of power to the devices that you’re charging.

Reliability

It’s a very reliable car charger and it may very well be one of the most reliable car chargers on the market. It uses 5 charging ports, so you can charge anywhere from 1 device to 5 devices all at the same time. This car charger will be very useful for things like road trips because you just place the charging pad in the center of the car and everyone can just connect their charging cable to the pad. We find this to be a very versatile car charger that can deliver on the apex of what car charging tech can deliver. Adding another port would be ridiculous but hey, why not?

Summary:

Power:

power

The power of the PowerDrive 5 is nearly perfect because each of the charging ports is able to deliver 5V/2.4A, which is the max standard charging. Even with the Max Output being 10A, each of the ports will be able to deliver 2 Amps of power and that’s still enough to charge any device quite fast.

Design:

design

It’s an odd design but a logical one. There are two separate pieces of the car charger, the charging pad, and the car charger plug. There’s a 36-inch cable that connects the two pieces. It’s easy to use and it’s nice to place the charging pad wherever you want, but the cable for the charger and charging cables that you connected to the pad can get messy.

Build:

build

It has a good physical build but the cable that connects the charging pad and the car charger’s plugin just like any other charging cable that can break, so it’s important to be gentle and lot let the cable tangle.

Reliability:

reliability

Of course, it’s a reliable charger with it having 5 charging ports that can charge 5 devices at once with really good charging power.

Specs of the Anker 50W 5-Port USB Car Charger, PowerDrive 5:

  • # Of Ports: 5
  • Output: 5 Output Charging Ports | 5V/2.4A Per Port | Max Output – 10 Amps
  • LED Power Indicators: No
  • Size:

Charging Block – 3.2 × 1.7 × 0.7 inches

Car Charger Piece –  3.5 × 1.7 × 0.7 inches

  • Weight: 3.8 Ounces
  • 18-month warranty
  • Comes with Welcome Guide

Conclusion:

There are not many car chargers with 5 charging ports because most people don’t imagine the need to charge 5 devices at once in their car. But here we are, this car charger is ideal for those family road trips, when having your devices all charged up and ready to go is vital.

Daily Deal: Aukey CC-S1 4.8A Dual Port USB Car Charger

There are many different kinds of car chargers out on the market. They come in many different shapes and sizes, but this Aukey 2-port car charger has got to be one of the smallest out there.

It’s about 1.4 inches long and its width/thickness is 0.9 inches. It’s VERY lower profile and can nearly go all the way into your V12 outlet within your car. If you’re searching for a small car charger, then this can very well be the one.

Also, along with small size, the car charger is really powerful. This is because it’s able to deliver a charging speed of 5V/2.4A through each of its ports and has a max output of 4.8A. So max charging is constant no matter what you’re charging.

Review: Tronsmart 3-Port Car Charger Quick Charge 3.0

Pic 1

Car chargers tend to be the type of charging electronics that most people don’t put much thought into because it’s just charging in your car, right? Car chargers aren’t expected to charge fast because people think that car chargers are actually a very primitive way of charging but the truth is that car chargers are just as advanced as Wall chargers and power bank chargers. The most important thing to find value is to look at the right car chargers.

The Tronsmart is an example of car chargers that provides value in nearly all four aspects of our reviewing criteria. To know what makes this 3 port car charger on par with the best that car chargers have to offer, take a look at our Charger Harbor Reveiw!

Power

The Tronsmart 3 port car charger is capable providing ample power through each of its ports. The most notable port that is colored blue features Quick Charge 3.0. Quick Charge 3.0 and 2.0 compatible devices can charge at 3.0 Amps of charging speed. The other two ports can provide a max charging speed of 2.4 Amps of charging speed. Although one thing that we found underwhelming was that if you used a non-compatible Quick Charge device on the Quick Charge port, then you’d only receive charging speeds of either  6.5-9V/2A or 9-12V/1.5A. This is kind of disappointing because on one spectrum you’d be getting super fast Quick Charge speeds of charging with a compatible device; But if you use a non-compatible Quick Charge device, it won’t charge with 2.4 Amps.

Although that’s not really logical, the higher voltage within the Quick Charge port makes up for the lack of Amperage speed. Altogether, if you’ve 2 more people in the car with you that want to charge their devices and do so quickly, then this car charger is a must. From your smartphone to iPads or other devices, will be charged at their full speeds or at least the fastest charging speed they they’re able to accept.

Design

The higher the ports with a car charger, the bigger the size tends to be but in this case, Tronsmart truly designs their car chargers in a stylish and intelligent way. The stem of the Tronsmart Charging cable goes into the electrical outlet very easily and is very short; Which isn’t the case with many car chargers that are in the 3-port and 4-port range. As result, the car charger doesn’t stick out very much. The only noticeable thing about the car charger is the port end.

The port end of the car charger is quite wide which is to be expected to accommodate the 3 charging ports. This is actually one of the best 3 port car chargers that we’ve reviewed because of the shape of the charging end; It’s an oval shape that takes the least amount of space up, with the ports taking nearly every bit of space. It’s a well thought out design because it makes the car charger very low profile and simple to use with all the ports being visible and at the same angle.

Build

An extremely solidly built car charger that takes advantage of every bit of space that its got. The car charger’s small design is what makes the build quality so good. The charger is able to keep everything compact and by doing so, there aren’t any components of the charger that become loose. The car charger uses spring charging receptacles on the stem end, which in my opinion, is alright for inputting it into the charging outlet but a built in a receptacle that is depressed into a car charger proves to be better in the long run.

The Car charger takes advantage of charging techs such as Over-current control, Overcharging control, and Heat control. The most useful type of safety technology that we found was the Heating control. In the hot months of the year, the car charger won’t be giving a full Output and that’s to be expected because it’s for the better; That’s because if the car charger were to send out 2.4 Amps or 3.0 Amps in very hot weather then the car charger and your devices would get damaged due to high heat. It’s this well built-in technology that proves it to be strong and smart at the same time.

You can’t always have the fastest charging that you’ve come to expect but it’s for the greater good. Would you rather have a fast charging rate or have to buy a new phone and car charger?

Reliability

Like most car chargers, the reliability part mostly relies on the user end. This car charger as we’ve mentioned within this review is powerful, designed beautifully and is built to prevent damage and control its power. However, the car charger can only get its job done, if you’re willing to let it charge your device depending on how long you’re driving.

It’s a great wall charger for road trips not just because it’ll keep your devices charged on a long car ride but also it will be able to charge the devices of others in the car. To be precise, 3 devices will be able to charge at the same. If you’re searching for a car charge that is able to give you the most power during your car rides, then this car charger will do definitive justice.

The power of the Tronsmart car charger is as simple as calling it strong. It has one port that has Quick Charge 3.0 that can charge Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0 compatible devices at rapid speeds. The other two ports deliver 2.4A max charging speed. We were just a little disappointed that the Quick Charge port won’t charge at 2.4A when using a non-compatible Quick Charge device but the increased Voltage somewhat makes up for the lost speed.

Design is the strongest point of the car charger. It takes into account every piece that’s used and how it can make itself as low profile as possible. The charger has a short stem and a charging head that is objectively oval with the charging ports taking up every bit of space.

The build of the charger is connected to its design. Since the car charger is so compact, all the components are close to together as a way to prevent anything to fall apart. The smart safety tech is very useful when it comes to hot weather as a way of not frying your devices or the car charger itself. We did find that the charging receptacles are the springing kind and this car charger would have been better for it, but it’s not a deal breaker.

Give this car charger a chance to show you its potential and it shall deliver. The car charger is able to charge devices at their highest potential. Also, the main attraction for this charger is that you can charge 3 devices at the same time. Going on a road trip or simply going to a location with a few people in the car, and this car charger will give power to those 3 that use it.

Specs of the Tronsmart 3-Port Car Charger Quick Charge 3.0:

  • # Of Ports: 3
  • Output: Quick Charge 3.0 – 2.0: 3.6-6.5V/3A        Two Standard Ports: 5V/2.4A
  • LED Power Indicators: No
  • Size: 3.1 x 2.2 x 1.1 inches
  • Weight: 1.4 ounces
  • 18-month warranty
  • Comes with Welcome Guide

Conclusion:

The Tronsmart 3 Port car charger is very well designed and powerful car charger that has been created to provide the most optimal experience a car charger can give. It takes advantage of special charging technology like Quick Charge 3.0 that’s backward compatible with Quick Charge 2.0 devices. Although non-Quick Charge devices will receive a 2A charging speed from the Quick Charge port but with a higher voltage. The other two ports give out a 2.4A max charging speed. The design of the car charger takes advantage of every nook and cranny; As a result, the car charger is extremely compact and low profiled with the charging ports always visible and accessible. The build of the car charger is connected to its design but what makes the Car charger so strong is the safety tech behind it. It’s a well put together wall charger that gives you the most while  you charge’n drive.

Review: AmazonBasics 4.0 Amp Dual USB Car Charger

Amazon has an array of products that they sell that are known as Amazon Basics products. These products touch the basis of a product category and bring either the standard or better than the standard of what a product has to offer. Amazon even offers their own line of charging products like power banks and car chargers.

In this case, we’ll be reviewing this 2-port car charger from Amazon and see how well it fairs to other car chargers. Does Amazon really have their game together or are they simply spreading themselves too thin?

Power

This Amazon car charger has two charging ports, you can charge two devices at the same time. Charging speed of each of the ports is 5V/2.0A. It’s not the fast charging speed that you can get with a car charger but it’s alright. The max output of the car charger is 4.0A, so there’s no need to worry that the car charger is lessening its power from one port.

With all that said, we’re disappointed to see this big car charger not being able to deliver a max standard charging rate of 5V/2.4A. We’ll get to its design in a second but to be clear, this charger isn’t small and we were expecting at least for it to deliver max power potential. You can charge an iPad at 2.0 Amps but not at its full potential of 2.4A because even if you charge a tablet with just a single port and leave the other port empty, the max output per port is still only 2 Amps.

Smartphones will fair well with the car charger but don’t expect the charging speed to meet the same standard as something like Anker’s PowerDrive 2.

Design

As we mentioned in the Power section, this car charger isn’t the smallest car charger you will own and it’s definitely lagging on its size dimensions and being lower profile. The length of the car charger is 3.1 inches, so you can expect the charger to stick out quite a lot. The stem of the car charger is about 1 inch, so you can expect 2 inches of the car charger to be sticking out. So if you’ve got a standard that a car charger should be sleek and low-profile; Or if you have functional things in the surrounding area where you’d put the car charger, then we recommend looking for a smaller car charger. Perhaps the RAVPower 2-port car charger may suit your needs better.

Although the car charger does indeed have a bulkier design than most car chargers out there, its design was meant to be very straightforward in nature. The stem of the car charger is clearly shown that it’s supposed to be put into an outlet and the charging port portion of the car charger has the two charging ports shown to be very prominent. Other than that, the Amazon Basics car charger doesn’t try anything new and in this case, it’s not the most disappointing thing but it’s very distasteful.

Build

You would think that a car charger from Amazon Basics would actually be built quite well but it’s not nearly as strong as you’d think. The car charger’s size is its biggest downfall and that’s because it has too much going on with its many build components. A charger should have the least amount of parts and pieces that are connected together because there’s less of a chance of things coming apart. The Amazon Basics car charger doesn’t follow this rule.

The most prominent weakness of this car charger is its head, which lays on top of the car charger’s stem. It’s not built in very well and if you remove the car charger from the electrical socket, the head of the charger stem will come out and render the car charger useless.

Another thing with the car charger is that it can cause temperature increases within itself and the charging cable that’s plugged into it. This increase in heat can damage the car charger, the cable, and even your smartphone or whatever device that you’re charging the car charger with. Ultimately, the Amazon Basics car charger fails to provide any safety charging technology and as a result, it puts your devices and itself in jeopardy of being damaged.

Lastly, the car charger isn’t making a constant connection with current flow. This may be a few cases for the Amazon Basics car charger but it’s actually quite common. What this means is that the car charger will take current and charge the device that’s connected to it, but other times it may not because the car charger loses its connection from the current. This constant ON/OFF of charging a device can damage the device that’s charging.

If we’re talking about the material that the car charger is made of, it’s made of plastic. It holds well, other than the stem’s head coming off.

Reliability

Amazon Basic products are meant to be reliable. They really are, because they’re meant to solidify the standard of a certain category of a product but that’s not the case here. The car charger doesn’t provide a consistent and worry-free experience and has a high chance of wearing down and eventually breaking itself, or even worse; it can damage your charging cable and your device.

The car charger can deliver on the power side of things, although we hoped for a powerful speed. The design can be obtrusive and it’s significantly bigger than other car chargers within its class. It’s a car charger that truly does bring the basics of a car charger but by not going over simple standards, the car charger under delivers.

The power of the car charger is lower than you’d expect for the size of the car charger. You’re able to charge two devices potentially at 2 Amps. Although the charging speed of the car charger is quite alright, you have to take into account whether or not the car charger will charge at those speeds constantly, because of discrepancies regarding its build quality.

It’s a large car charger in comparison to the many other 2-port car chargers currently on the market. It’s not going to be as low profile as you’d like and might even obstruct some things surrounding the car charger. With that said, the car charger does have a straightforward design and it’s at least easy to use.

The build quality of the Amazon Basics car charger needs to be re-done. The car charger’s stem head is very easy to come off and will make the car charger useless. The charging is not kept constant because the car charger has trouble keeping a constant current flow to the device it’s charging and as a result, it can damage the device. Lastly, the charger doesn’t seem to have any safety charging tech, because its temperature can increase a lot and heat up itself, the charging cable and the device that it’s charging.

It’s not the most reliable car charger because of its lack of safety tech. You can’t really rely on a charging electronic that can’t support itself in the long-run and that’s what’s most important.

Specs of the AmazonBasics 4.0 Amp Dual USB Car Charger:

  • # Of Ports: 2
  • Output: 2.0A Per Port
  • LED Power Indicators: Only One
  • Size: 2.32 x 0.98 x 0.98
  • Weight: 0.3 ounces
  • AmazonBasice 1-year Limited Warranty

Conclusion:

The Amazon Basics car charger does meet the minimum of what it means to be a good car charger. It tries to boast itself as being really good but it’s behind the times and is due for an upgrade. The car charger should already have a max charging speed of 5V/2.4A and its size needs to be reduced quite a lot. Safety features like Temperature control and Current control would solve its detrimental chance of damaging the device it’s charging and the car charger needs to have a more uni-body design. This car charger goes to show no matter how many ratings and popularity an Amazon Basics product has, it can really all be due to the hype.

Review: Anker PowerDrive+2 Car Charger with Quick Charge 3.0

pic-1

Car chargers kind of have it hard nowadays with their minimal usage and their expectations of being powerful, compact and built to last. Although the expectations of a car charger that you get should be high, what are your needs for a car charger you’re looking? The Anker PowerDrive+2 that features Quick Charge 3.0, is a 2-port car charger that takes two-port car charging to a whole other level with the tech side and the price side of $28.99.

Find out if it’s really worth the price or should you settle for a car charger that still holds strong quality, minus the tech benefits and high price tag.

Power

This is where the PowerDrive car charger excels the most. The car charger has 2 charging ports that feature Quick Charge technology. One port features Quick Charge 3.0 and you’ll know that it has QC 3.0 because of the QC 3.0 logo that’s next to the charging ports. The other charging port features Quick Charge 2.0 and Anker’s PoweriQ charging that is able to send a maximum charging speed to non-Quick Charge devices.

It’s an absolutely powerful car charger that delivers on both charging ports but there’s a limit for the Quick Charge 3.0 port. The QC 3.0 charging port does not have PoweriQ and that means it won’t be able to charge non-Quick Charge devices at maximum speed if they require higher Amperage amount into the 2.4 Amps category

Quick Charge 3.0 Charging SpeedsQuick Charge 2.0 Charging Speed and PoweriQ
Quick Charge 3.0: 3.6-9V / 3A
Quick Charge 2.0: 3.6-6.5V / 3A
Quick Charge 2.0: 3.6-6.5V / 3ANon-Quick Charge (PoweriQ):
5V / 2A
Non-Quick Charge:
9-12V / 2A

Take a look at the above table. If you’re using the Quick Charge 3.0 port with a Quick Charge 3.0 device then you’re going to receive fast QC 3.0 charging speeds; Similar to connecting a QC 2.0 device and receiving fast Quick Charge 2.0 charging speed because QC 3.0 is backwards compatible with QC 2.0 devices. However, if you’re connecting a non-Quick Charge compatible device to the 3.0 charging port, you’re going to potentially get a charging speed of 5V/2.0A of charging speed. So it’s important to know that the Quick Charge 3.0 charging port does NOT feature PoweriQ and will not charge at 5V/2.4A.

The Quick Charge 2.0 port will deliver to QC 2.0 charging speeds to Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0 devices. PoweriQ will deliver a maximum charging speed of 2.4 amps to non-Quick Charge devices.

Power for this car is at a all time high if you’re going to be strictly using Quick Charge compatible devices that will charge at 3.0 Amps. However, if you’re searching for a car charger that’s going to charge non-Quick Charge devices fast as possible we recommend getting a standard car charger without the QC tech, like this RAVPower car charger.

This is a car charger more meant for the Quick Charge users.

Design

It’s simple to look at, understand and use. The PowerDrive+2 presents itself with a highly objective design that tries to make the tech inside as compact as possible. We say that because the car charger is integrated with 3 main technologies like Quick Charge 2.0, Quick Charge 3.0 and PoweriQ. The fact that they only put PoweriQ into a single port only signifies that the more charging tech they put into the charger, the bigger it would be. It’s alright, though since Anker has done a great job by constructing the design around the tech quite seamlessly, even though it’s not the smallest or low profile 2-port car charger.

The PowerDrive is about 3 inches long with about 1 inch of it sticking out. The 1 inch that sticks out is the charging end with the charging ports. The car charger was designed to make sure that the stem of the charger wouldn’t be sticking out too much or not all and they’ve done a great. The charging head of the car charger is 1.5 inches long, which is quite big for a car charger and the distance between the two charging ports is about an inch. It’s a very simple looking design that has the Quick Charge and PoweriQ capabilities for each port labeled.

Ultimately, does the charger look big and bulky? No, not really. It’s definitely a bulkier look than most 2-port car chargers but considering the tech that’s inside, the general size of the car charger makes sense. The car charger has a red ring that wraps around the charging head and it turns on a LED light when the car charger is on. It’s a nice feature that lets you see the car charger during night rides without being obstructive.

Build

The build of the car charger is substantially better than most high-quality car chargers. The body of the car charger may not be uni-body but the main two pieces of the car charger which is the charging head and stem are both put together very well. The charging receptacles on the stems are strongly installed and placed inward to the car charger rather than outward.

The safety tech of the car charger and for any car charger is the most important thing. Chargers can become hot and as result, they need to have the correct tech to adapt to their surroundings; For car chargers, safety tech should be mandatory, because during those hot summer days a car charger can overheat. In this case with the PowerDrive+2 car charger; With Temperature control, current control and Surge protections, it’s able to fluctuate the speed of charging to match the safety of the device. This means if the car charger becomes very hot, then the charging current of the car charger will decrease in order to cool down the car charger.

It’s the build features on the inside that count more than the ones on the outside. After all car chargers are mostly sedentary chargers.

Reliability

The PowerDrive+2 Car charger is HIGHLY reliable for those that have the tech to match it. If you have, lets says 2 Quick Charge compatible devices; Then it would be a good idea to get this car charger that features both Quick Charge 3.0 and Quick Charge 2.0, because both of your devices will be charging at Quick Charge blazing speeds.

If you have a single device that is Quick Charge compatible, you’re going to use the other charging port with just normal charging then we recommend a car charger with either a single Quick Charge port or a 2-port car charger that has a Quick Charge and Normal charging port with standard fast charging.

If don’t own a Quick Charge compatible device then we recommend not getting this car charger simply because the price tag is too high and you won’t be relying on the main features of the car charger; Which is the Quick Charge technology.

This is a car charger that was made for Quick Charge users to take advantage of and although it’s got the tech for normal devices, it’s not worth the price.

There is not Quick Charge happening

power

Both of the ports on this car charger have Quick Charge. One port has Quick Charge 3.0 only and the other port has Quick Charge 2.0 along with PoweriQ. It’s definitely got a lot of power for those with Quick Charge devices and with non-Quick Charge devices. However, we found it a little odd that both of the ports didn’t feature PoweriQ.

design

The design of the car charger is perfectly in line with the tech that it has. It’s a rather bigger than your traditional 2-port car charger but that’s because of the Quick Charge and PoweriQ capabilities. It takes a proud advantage of its size with an objective design and cool LED light to let you see the car charger easily in a dark setting.

build

It’s a well-built car charger if we’re talking about structure. However, the car charger’s build scheme really shines when you take into account the safety tech that is very useful with the special charging tech that’s installed within the car charger. It’s able to regulate charging current through the temperature control mechanism.

reliability

Reliability is a concern for this car charger because it may just be too reliable for what you’re searching for. If you plan on taking advantage of the Quick Charge tech fully, then it’s fully reliable. If you’re only using a single port for Quick Charge, then search for a car charger with just a single Quick Charge charging port. If you don’t have any devices that are Quick Charge compatible, then don’t bother with this car charger because you won’t be relying on it fully and the price won’t be worth it.

Specs of the Anker PowerDrive+2 Car Charger with Quick Charge 3.0:

  • # Of Ports: 2
  • Output:           Quick Charge 2.0: 3.6-6.5V / 3A       |       Non-Quick Charge (PoweriQ): 5V / 2A

  • LED Power Indicators: Yes
  • Size: 1.9 x 1.4 x 2.8
  • Weight: 0.8 ounces
  • 18-month warranty

Conclusion:

The PowerDrive+2 Car charger with Quick Charge 3.0 is a great car charger. There’s no doubt that it’s a powerful car charger; With its Quick Charge capabilities and PoweriQ. It has a design that is rather bigger than most 2-port car chargers but it takes advantage of its shape and does well to make itself low profile and stylish. Smart safety technology makes the car charger safe to use as it adapts to the environment. With all that said, the car charger is really meant for those with Quick Charge devices. That’s because users will get the most out of the car charger by charging it at Quick Charge speeds; If not, then the $28.99 price tag is not worth it.

Review: Anker 4-Port Car Charger

pic-1

We’ve reviewed a 4-Port Car charger from Aukey, and we found it to be absolutely stellar when it came to a full-on charging experience but it did have its share of limits by being able to malfunction. Now we’ve got the Anker 4-Port car charger that may be just as good, with a different look. How does it stand in terms of power? Are all 4-Port chargers equal or should you be very selective when it comes to having so much charging ports with a car charger?

Know what makes this Anker 4-Port car charger a well-defined competitor among the rest.

Power

Car chargers tend to be a category of charging tech that is expected to stay a few steps behind, because since they’re small and used within a car, their abilities seem to be underrated. That’s a mistake, though because car chargers are absolutely capable of performing at the same level as other charging technologies like power banks and wall chargers. It’s shown to be very apparent with this Anker 4-Port car charger.

Anker’s 4-Port car charger can indeed charge 4 devices at the same time. What’s even more amazing about the car charger is that it can charge 5V/2.4A charging speed through each port. Let’s take it to another level by telling you that the car charger can even keep its max charging speed of 5V/2.4A per port even when 4 devices are connected to each of the car charger’s ports.

This means the car charger is actually capable of charging 4 iPads at full charging speed at the same time because the max Amperage output of the car charger is 9.6 Amps. 2.4 x 4 = 9.6A

 1-Port2-Port3-Port4-Port
1-Port Charge Speed5V/2.4A5V/2.4A5V/2.4A5V/2.4A
2-Port Charge Speed5V/2.4A5V/2.4A5V/2.4A
3-Port Charge Speed5V/2.4A5V/2.4A
4-Port Charge Speed5V/2.4A
Total Charge Speed2.4A4.8A7.2A9.6A

This 4-port car charger may not be equipped with Quick Charge but it’s sure to give the fastest charge for any of your USB charging devices from your smartphones to your tablets.

Design

It’s a very well designed car charger that takes as much advantage that its 4 ports give it. The stem of the car charger, which is the part that goes into the electrical outlet is about 2.2 inches long; It makes the car charger quite long and as a result, the car charger does stick out quite a lot from the outlet. Although, it’s important to remember that this kind of design can’t be helped because of the 4 charging ports. You can’t exactly compare it in the range of RAVPower’s Insanely small 2-Port car charger because this car charger has 4 ports.

The best thing about the car charger is the brick-like shape where the charging ports are installed. It’s a very organized way to show where the car charge is and a blatant way to put the charging ports in an easy access location. Although the brick piece will be sticking out, along with the charging stem piece; Some may not like this kind of design. With that said, the car charger is “Low Profile” in its own way because it’s not taking up too much space that you’ll be annoyed by its presence.

On the charging brick portion, you’ll find the 4 charging ports lined up at the same angle, the PoweriQ logo to signify that all charging ports offer max standard charging speed, and a blue LED light. The LED light is on regardless if a device is connected to the charger or not, and it’s meant to illuminate the charger so the car charger is more accessible during low light situations. All the ports do not light up blue, it’s only the charging port at the end of the car charger that lights up because that’s where the LED light is placed closest to.

The 4-Port car charger’s design is actually necessary for anyone actually seeking to charge 4 devices at the same.

Build

Build quality of the car charger is surprisingly very good and we say “Surprisingly” because usually, the case with higher port car chargers is that they tend to lose their quality of build.

The stem of the car charger is made of plastic and is a uni-body piece. There aren’t any slits throughout the middle of the stem so there’s really no chance of it falling apart from there. Then there’s the charging port block that’s made of Aluminum that has a rough varnish finish that actually feels alright and looks stellar. The charging block is a uni-body design as well and simply goes on top of the charging stem. Ultimately the car charger has only a single point that involves two pieces sticking together and that’s the car charger’s stem and block coming together.

The USB charging connectors within each of the ports hold strong and we didn’t find any bending between any of them. Along with the structurally sound construction of the car charger, are charging safety tech features. This kind of technology is especially important for car chargers within the higher port range because there are times that the 4-port car chargers can become heated and as result the safety tech Temperature Control is able lower Amp current to cool down the car charger to prevent damage to the charger itself, your devices and ultimately keeping you safe.

Reliability

It’s a reliable charger that’s going to offer the MOST reliability when you take the utmost advantage of it. Let’s just say that if you plan on only charging a single device at any time within your car, then maybe this 4-port car charger isn’t for you and maybe lower ported car chargers are a better choice.

However, this car charger can be heavily relied upon for nearly any situation because it’s able to charge 4 devices at the same time and at full charging speed. We did mention that if you’re only going to charge a single device, it may not be worth it, but the car charger will still charge that single device at full speed. Then there may be times when you’re riding with family and friends and they want to charge their devices; It’s times like those that this car charger is the most helpful and reliable. It’s a car charger that can mean the most in the most important of times because it can fulfill many people’s charging needs all at the same time.

It’s got the absolute most output of power at 5V/2.4A. You can quite literally charge 4 iPads at the same time, all at max charging speed. Most smartphones will be meeting their max charging potential as well. It’s a great charger for anyone in your car wanting to charge their device because no matter what device they have, it’s going to charge at max standard speeds. Best of all there’s 4 ports for it.

A well kept and neat design can make even a 4-port car charger seem small and low profile. Sure, the car charger does stick out than most other car chargers but that’s mostly because of its 4 charging port. The block that features the ports is well designed with all the charging ports aligned the same for easy access and a blue LED light within the car charger shines brightly for easy visibility of the car charger.

The build of the car charger is tight. The stem and block parts of the car charge are both uni-body. The two main body pieces connect and form only a single spot that is connected from two different  pieces. The charging stem is made of plastic and the block is made of Aluminum. The USB connectors within the ports actually hold up well but if they do bend due to the somewhat heavier weight of a 4-port car charger, then you can always take advantage of Anker’s sweet warranty.

The reliability of the Anker 4-port car charger is naturally universal. The car charger has 4 charging ports, which means that you can potentially charge 4 devices at the same time. However, if you’re sure that you’re only going to be charging a single device with a car charger, then maybe going with a lower port range is a better idea. If not, no worries because it’ll be ready for any of those car pool moments.
