Power Delivery wall chargers have taken over the charging market by storm because they’re able to output high charging power, use USB-C ports, and are incredibly small now. Gone are the days of lugging around a charger specifically for your laptop and having a separate charger for your phone; instead, you can have a single charger for all your devices.
I’m looking at this VOLTME 140W GaN Power Delivery wall charger in this review. This charger has tons of power and three ports and can be the only wall charger you will ever need; let’s see why that is.
Charging Power
This VOLTME wall charger does not lack charging power because it features Power Delivery 3.1, which means it can deliver up to 140W of Power Delivery. This charger has three ports, with two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. USB-C 1 is the most powerful port because it can output 140W if charging a single device with this VOLTME charger. Also, USB-C 1 is still the most powerful when charging multiple devices.
USB-C 2 is the second strongest port with it, being able to output 100W if you’re charging a single device from the charger, and the USB-A port outputs 22.5W no matter how many devices you’re charging.
As I mentioned, charging output changes for each port depending on whether you simultaneously charge one or many devices. Charging from both USB-C ports will result in a 65W output from each of them; charging from USB-C 1 or USB-C 2 and the USB-A port will get you a 100W and 22.5W output.
When charging from all three ports simultaneously, USB-C 1 will output 65W, USB-C 2 45W, and the USB-A port will output 22.5W. I’m trying to say that this VOLTME wall charger is insanely powerful, and you can fast charge three devices simultaneously if you want to.
For my testing, I plugged the VOLTME 140W wall charger into a River 2 power station so I could track the full wattage output of the charger; please know that it would perform the same way on a wall outlet. The first device I started charging was an Excitrus power bank with a 100W Power Delivery input speed, so I plugged in the power bank to USB-C 1 to recharge it, and it was able to recharge at 100W.
With the Excitrus power bank charging at 100W from USB-C 1, I plugged in my Lenovo laptop to the USB-C 2 port, and it was able to charge at about 30W, which is its max charging, and the Excitrus power bank dropped down a 65W recharge speed. The lower charging rate for the Excitrus power bank was expected as each USB-C port outputted 65W. The Max output of the VOLTME wall charger was about 100W.
With the power bank and laptop charging, I plugged my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 phone into the USB-A port so it could fast charge. The charging speed of the Excitrus power was still 65W, the Lenovo laptop kept charging at 30W, and my Note 9 could fast charge. At this point, the output of the wall charger was 116W. Charging three devices simultaneously shows that there aren’t any compromises with this VOLTME wall charger, as you could charge two laptops and fast charge a phone from the USB-A port.
Also, to test if each USB-C port can output 65W when charging from both simultaneously, I plugged in my Excitrus power bank to USB-C 1 and a Baseus power bank to USB-C 2. Both power banks could recharge at 65W, showing that the power allocation was accurate.

Size and Weight
Considering this VOLTME wall charger’s immense charging power, it is tiny. The charger has a length of 3 inches, a width of 2.8 inches, and a thickness of 1.2 inches. The weight of the charger is 10 ounces. Along with a foldable plug, this charger can quickly be taken anywhere; it shows just how incredible GaN tech is because this is a 140W charger that can use multiple devices that fit into a pocket.
Functional Components
It’s just like using any other wall charger; all you have to do is unfold the plug, plug it into an outlet, and it’s ready to use. There is a dim white power light at the front where the charging ports are located.
Structure and Material
The build quality of this charger is excellent, it feels solid all around, and I couldn’t find any weak-feeling parts. It’s well-made.
Tech
On the technical side, this VOLTME charger gets warm when using a high power output, but that’s normal and happens with every charger. It didn’t get hot during charging.

Reliability
If you rely on USB-C Power Delivery charging for your laptop or any other device that requires that high Power Delivery charging speed, this VOLTME 140W charger is for you. This charger isn’t meant to get if you’re only charging your phone because 140W is a lot of power, which makes the charger pricy. Still, if you need fast charging and an all-in-one type charger that you can use to charge your laptop and phone, this one will be good for many years.
