Jump starters have varying peak currents, and you also get low and high-priced ones. Generally, the higher the peak current of a jump starter, the better because it has a higher chance of jump-starting a battery. The charging power of potable jump starters has improved quite drastically in recent years, with some getting back to full power within just an hour. That can be useful if you’re low on power and need your jump starter at a good capacity.
I’m looking at this ATKMAYI 3000A jump starter battery pack in this review. This is a relatively affordable 3000A jump starter compared to the competition, so if you’re not looking for all the bells and whistles others have, this one can be a good choice.
Power Capacity
This ATKMAYI jump starter has a 20,000mAh capacity, which is standard for these devices. Regarding charging devices from the port capacity, you can probably charge most phones to full power about two times, while tablets would be able to get to full power about a single time.
Regarding jump-starting, the 20,000mAh capacity can provide about 30 jump starts before being fully depleted. Considering that you’ll only need to use this jump starter in emergencies occasionally, it’s safe to say that you will barely have to recharge it much, even if you use it once. That said, I recommend checking on the capacity every few months because the battery can still drain even when not in use; batteries drain naturally for any power source.

Jump Starting Power
The main reason to get this ATKMAYI jump starter is its 3000A peak current; the higher the peak, the higher the chance you will have to jump-start your battery. This is because a weaker battery will require more power to jump-start; in my opinion, something like a 1000A jump starter is too weak, and you shouldn’t bother with it; 2000A peak current is a good starting point, and it is reliable. Regarding 3000A jump starters and above, reliability is very high, and you have a good chance of jump-starting your car no matter how dead it is.
This ATKMAYI jump starter can jump-start 10L gas and 8L Diesel engines as long as they use a 12V lead acid battery.
Charging Power
The charging ports on this jump starter are okay, but the ports are relatively weak compared to the others I’ve reviewed. There are two USB-A ports, one featuring Quick Charge that can output 18W, while the other has a standard 10W output. The USB-C port can be used as an input and an output, and it has a 15W charging speed.
There is also a DC barrel port with a 12V-16V/10A power output, and the jump starter includes a cigarette lighter port adapter for the DC port. I didn’t have any devices to test with the DC port, but it could be compatible with a portable tire pump as long as it fits within the power output of the DC port.
For the charging ports, I tested charging my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from the USB-C port and the USB-A Quick Charge port, and it could fast charge. So the charging ports are only meant for fast charging phones or tablets.
Recharging this jump starter is as powerful as the output, with the USB-C port having a max recharging speed of 15W, so I recommend using a 15W wall charger to recharge it at its max speed.

Design
The jump starter has a similar size to others, and this ATKMAYI one has a length of 7.2 inches, a width of 3.5 inches, and a thickness of 1.5 inches; and it weighs 1.3 pounds.
The functional parts of this jump starter are mainly at the front, where you can find the charging ports, the jumper port, and the flashlight. On another side is where the DC port is, and at the top is where the power capacity indicators are, along with a power button.
The power button can be used to turn on the flashlight by holding it down, and the flashlight has three settings: constant on mode, SOS, and flashing.
Using the jump-starting capability is as simple as other jump starters; you plug in the clamps and the clamp port and then connect the cables to the positive and negative terminals on your battery. Once the cable clamps are connected, the clamp adapter shows the battery’s voltage, and you’re ready to jump-start your car.
Build Quality
The build quality of this ATKMAYI jump starter is pretty good, although I have to be honest other jump starters I’ve reviewed do feel like they’re built better. Since this one is lower priced, I think some corners were cut to keep the price down. Just don’t drop the jump starter, and it’ll be alright. Thankfully, the box includes a carrying case that can keep the battery pack safe while storing it in your car and easily withstand bumps while driving.
Reliability
The main reason for getting this ATKMAYI portable jump starter is its low price and 3000A peak current. The 3000A peak current makes it a more reliable jump starter in case your battery is very weak, and the lower price is great if you don’t want to pay for higher-priced leading competitors.
