Best Power Banks with Lightning and USB-C Cables

(Last Updated On: January 7, 2021)

Power banks that use built-in cables are among the most reliable types of portable chargers that you can own. With a regular power bank that doesn’t have any built-in cables you always have to remember to bring a cable along with you, when you have a cable that’s plugged into the power bank it can be inconvenient as the cable gets in the way, especially if you’re placing it into your pocket. Power banks that have built-in cables usually have their cables concealed within the charger, so you have better portability when you’re not using it.

In this guide, we’re going to cover power banks that have Lightning cables and USB-C cables, both of which are the most used on the market.

CHOETECH 10,000mAh Lightning and USB-C Power Delivery Power Bank

Most of the time when it comes to power banks with built-in cables, they don’t have feature fast charging techs such as Power Delivery or Quick Charge. However, that has changed as this CHOETECH power bank uses Power Delivery for both cables. The charger has a Lightning cable and a USB-C cable and both can use an 18W Power Delivery charging speed. This is vital for charging smartphones as most phones are compatible with PD, iPhones have been compatible with Power Delivery ever since the release of the iPhone X and the iPhone 8, Android smartphones have been compatible for a bit longer.

This CHOETECH power bank does not have any output charging ports for additional charging, but it does have a USB-C input port that’s used to recharge the power bank. Included in the box is USB-C to USB-C cable that can be used for recharging. The design of the charger is sleek, as both of the cables can fit snuggly into the power bank without any protrusion.

TG90 10,000mAh Built-in Micro-USB, USB-C and Lightning Cable Power Bank

One of the most popular power banks with built-in cables that can be found on Amazon is this TG90 portable charger and for good reasons. The charge has two built-in cables, but there are three ways to charge from the built-in cables, and that’s because one built-in cable has a Micro-USB and a USB-C connection, and the other cable has a Lightning connection. So you’re able to charge most portable devices, even older ones that make use of a Micro-USB port.

On top of the two built-in cables, this charger also has a USB-A port that you can use with any cable, and this means that you’re able to charge four devices at the same time with this TG90 power bank. The power bank is recharged via a Micro-USB input port, and it comes with a Micro-USB cable that can be used to do so.

This power bank comes from Anker, one of the most well-known brands on the market when it comes to portable chargers, and charging electronics in general. This PowerCore+ 10000 of theirs is a very simple charger with a 10,000mAh power capacity, the same that you’re going to see in most built-in cable power banks. So you can expect to get about two full chargers for some smartphones, but with many phones now using larger batteries that are within the 4,000mAh or even 5,000mAh range, you may get only one full charge with some capacity left over.

The charging is simple with this Anker power bank only using a single USB-C built-in cable as its output, there are no USB output ports. However, the great part is that the built-in cable uses 18W Power Delivery charging, so you’re able to charge Android-compatible phones at faster speeds. The PowerCore+ does have a USB-C port that can only be used as an input for recharging, and you can recharge the power bank at Power Delivery speeds when you use a PD wall charger. However, a PD wall charger is not included in the box.

This iWalk power bank does things a little differently with the charger having USB-A Quick Charge 3.0 port along with a built-in USB-C cable and a Lightning cable. Neither of the built-in cables feature Power Delivery fast charging, but they do have a 2A charge rate. For the Quick Charge 3.0 USB-A port, you’re able to use any cable that you want with it, but if you want to fast charge with it, only Android smartphones are compatible with Quick Charge.

Recharging this iWalk power bank is as great as the output charging as it has a Lightning and USB-C input port, so it doesn’t matter if your an iPhone or Android user, recharging the power bank is equally as easy.
