Most chargers look the same, and most brands already have the charging power down. If you want to add a bit of personality to your charger, some chargers double as some mascot or action figure while still providing fast charging.
I’m looking at this UGREEN Nexode Robot RG 30W charger in this review. This charger has a design that makes it look like a robot, and it even has a face that turns on when you plug the charger in and start charging. It’s a cute and fun charger to own if you want fast charging for your phone and don’t want to settle for any other boring charger.
What’s in the Box
What you get in the box is just the Robot RG 30W charger and the manual. A USB-C cable is not included in the box, although I wish a cable did come with the charger.
Charging Power
Charging from this UGREEN Robot RG charger is not complicated because it only has a single Power Delivery USB-C port. The USB-C port can output 30W of Power Delivery, which can fast charge most Android phones, and it can fast charge iPhones. That said, if you want to fast charge iPhones that use the Lightning port, the iPhones that came before the iPhone 15, you will need to use a USB-C to Lightning cable.
However, for fast charging the iPhone 15, you can stick to using a USB-C to USB-C cable since the iPhone 15 uses a USB-C port.
For my testing, I was able to recharge my Excitrus power bank at 30W via the RG charger, using the full power of the charger. I could fast charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and super fast charge my Galaxy S20 at 25W. This UGREEN charger does feature 25W PPS super fast charging from its single USB-C port.
You can also use the USB-C port for fast charging most tablets, a Nintendo Switch, and many other USB-C devices. However, a 30W PD charge rate may not be enough for most laptops.

Size and Design
Even though this RG charger looks very different than standard chargers, it works the same. There is a Purple and Black variant of this charger, and the shoes on the chargers can be removed to expose the AC plug. Once you plug the charger into an outlet, the screen at the front turns on for about a second to show a smiling face and then turns off.
The USB-C port can be found at the top of the charger, and the screen shows a smiling face during charging. Overall, the design of this charger is pleasant to look at, and it’s a nice change compared to standard chargers.
