I’ve said it many times, but if you own a car, you should also own a portable jump starter. You never know when your battery will be too weak to start your car and leave you stranded, and the option of relying on other people isn’t always there. Also, if you’re low on tire pressure, you may not even be able to make it to a gas station with an air compressor, and thankfully, there are jump starters that double as air compressors.

In this review, I’m looking at this LOKITHOR AW401 jump starter compressor with a pressure washer feature; this device has it and even has Power Delivery charging. Let’s take a closer look.

What’s in the Box?

What you get in the box with this AW401 jump starter are the jump starter cables, air hose, USB-C to USB-C cable, USB-C to USB-A cable, a car charging cable, inlet water hose, outlet water hose, water hose attachment nozzle, different air nozzles for the air hose and a carrying bag for accessories.

The only thing missing in the box is a wall charger that you would use to recharge the jump starter, and it would have been helpful if they added that, too, but it’s okay if they didn’t. The unit already comes with a car charger.

Jump Starting

The LokiThor A401 has a 2500A peak current that can jump-start 8.5L gas engine vehicles and 6.5L Diesel engine vehicles that use a 12V battery to start. When it comes to using the jump starting feature, it’s just like any other jump starter on the market; all you have to do is plug the jumper cables into the jump starting port, press the power button, connect the jumper cables to the battery and once the green light on the jumps starter turns on you’re ready to start your car.

Also, once you connect the jumper cables to the battery, the screen on this jump starter shows the voltage of the battery you’re starting.

Air Compressor

This LOKITHOR jump starter has an air hose and can be used as an air compressor to fill tires with air. The unit also comes with different nozzles in case you want to fill up other types of tires. The air compressor can fill up from 10 to 150 PSI. I was able to fill up my Toyota Sienna tire from 20PSI to 40PSI within about 2 minutes, so if you’re worried about the air compressor being too weak and slow, don’t be; this air compressor is very strong and will get the job done quickly, granted that you don’t have a huge air leak.

Once you have the air hose connected to your tire, the screen reads the current PSI of that tire; you can adjust the desired air pressure via the plug and minus buttons on this jump starter, and once tire pressure reaches the desired pressure, the air compressor automatically turns off. You do have the option to switch from PSI and BAR via a button at the front.

Power Washer

The power washer feature on this LOKITHOR AW401 jump starter is pretty awesome, as I’ve never seen anything like this on a jump starter. You have to plug the inlet hose into the inlet port and the outlet hose into the outlet port; also, remember that you do need to connect the nipple connectors to connect the hose to each side.

You need some water resources to place the inlet hose end into a body of water so that you have a place to pull water from.

I used a bucket of water to pull water from, turned on the unit, and then held down the “Wash” button, and the power washer turned on. The water pressure is strong, and you can control it via the dial on the hose attachment; it also has different settings on how you want it to spray.

Just a note: if the water pressure is not working, meaning that water is not being pulled from a water source, ensure that your inlet house has no tangles, or else it won’t pull water. That’s what happened with me, and after I straightened out the inlet hose, the power washer feature worked great.

Charging Ports

There are three ports on this LOKITHOR AW401 jump starter: a 12V-16.8V/10A DC output port, a 60W Power Delivery USB-C port, and a USB-A Quick Charge port. I didn’t have any devices to charge with a DC output port, but I could charge my Lenovo laptop via the USB-C PD port, and my Note 9 charged via the USB-A port.

I was able to charge my Lenovo laptop at about 35W from the USB-C PD port, and I was able to fast charge my Note 9 from the USB-A port. Most laptops can charge from the 60W USB-C port, which is why it’s so awesome.

This jump starter can be recharged via the USB-C PD or the DC input port. These input ports have a 60W recharge rate, and I could recharge this jump starter at 60W via the USB-C port. Using the included car charging cable, I could also recharge it at 60W via the DC input port.

Remember that if you want to recharge the unit at 60W via the USB-C port, you will need a 60W or higher PD wall charger.

Size and Design

Considering all the features of this LOKITHOR jump starter, I would consider it pretty small. The unit has a length of 10 inches, a width of 6 inches, and a depth of 5 inches. The unit weighs 2 pounds, and a flex handle at the top makes portability easier.

At the front is where you’ll find all the buttons; I already mentioned the power button, washer button, plus and minus for changing air pressure settings, pump button, and the BAR/PSI button to switch between the two. A DC OUT button also turns on the DC output port, and a flashlight button turns the LED flashlight to the side.

The screen on this jumps starter is very helpful because it shows stats while you’re using the unit, such as the voltage of the battery you’re jump starting, air pressure stats, and even the runtime when using the power washer feature.

Conclusion

Overall, the LOKITHOR AW401 is not only a reliable jump starter but also a reliable mini-pressure washer and air compressor all in one. Incredibly, they could fit all these features into one device and see this becoming a trend among other jump starters.
