Best Chargers for Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 4, 2024)

The Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are remarkable, boasting camera, processor, and design upgrades. Enthusiasts and new users alike will find these enhancements appealing. Notably, these models continue the trend of not including a charger. Choosing a fast charger compatible with the Pixel 8’s 27W and Pixel 8 Pro’s 30W fast charging capabilities is crucial for those needing one. Chargers with PPS (Programmable Power Supply) are recommended for optimal speed. Otherwise, using a standard Power Delivery charger will result in a slower yet effective 18W charging rate.

VOLTME 35W 2 Port Charger

If you want to charge your Google Pixel 8 fast and want to charge another device, then the VOLTME 35W charger is an excellent choice for charging the Pixel 8. To fast charge your Pixel 8, you must charge it alone from the VOLTME charger because that’s the only time the PPS charge rate is available. Then, when it comes to dual charging, each USB-C port on this charger outputs 18W, and the max output becomes 36W when charging two devices. Charging your Pixel 8 at 18W when charging another Android phone or tablet fast can be reliable.

In my review for the VOLTME 35W, the 35W of Power Delivery for single port charging wasn’t enough to fast charge my Lenovo laptop, but I could dual fast charge two phones.

UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 Prot Charger

The UGREEN Nexode 45W charger is a better option for charging the Pixel 8 if you also want to charge a USB-C laptop. USB-C charging is not just for phones or tablets anymore; far from it, most modern laptops can charge via USB-C. You can fast charge the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro when charging them alone from the UGREEN 45W charger because that’s when you have access to PPS. Also, during single port charging, you can fully use 45W of Power Delivery; this makes charging most USB-C chargeable laptops possible.

For my review of the UGREEN 45W charger, I could charge my Lenovo laptop at about 30W alone. However, when dual charging, the power split becomes 25W and 20W for the UGREEN charger, letting you fast charge your Pixel 8 at 18W and charge an additional device. Surprisingly, I could still charge my Lenovo laptop while fast charging my Note 9 via the UGREEN charger. Check out my video review to explore the UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 Port Charger’s capabilities in detail.

UGREEN 30W Robot Charger

The UGREEN Robot charger is a different take on a charger from UGREEN because it does look like a robot. The charger has a single USB-C port with a 30W Power Delivery output, and it does feature PPS to fast charge your Pixel 8. So, if you’re looking for a charger solely for your Pixel, this will work great. During my review of the UGREEN 30W Robot charger, a smiling face turned on when charging a device.

NOVOO 67W 2 Port Charger

The NOVOO 67W charger has a higher power output and a single USB-C and USB-A port. You can use the total 67W of Power Delivery when charging a single device from the USB-C port, and also, during single port charging, you can fast charge your Pixel 8. 67W of Power Delivery can charge most USB-C laptops. During dual charging, you get 45W via the USB-C port and 18W via the USB-A port. In my review for the NOVOO 67W 2 port charger, I could charge my laptop and fast charge a phone; I can also confirm that a USB-C to USB-C cable is included in the box. Discover the features of the NOVOO 67W 2 Port Charger in my detailed video review.

Baseus 100W 4 Port Charger

Alright, so you don’t need a Baseus 100W charger solely for charging your Pixel 8, but if you’re looking for a universal type of charger that can charge your Pixel, tablet, and laptop, the Baseus 100W charger is a good fit. Yes, you can fast charge your Pixel 8 via the USB-C ports when charging it alone, but it’s even better to fast charge your Pixel 8 at 18W even when charging four devices simultaneously with the Baseus charger. In my review of the Baseus 100W charger, I found that I could charge a laptop from USB-C 1 and fast charge a phone from the USB-C 2 port because it was outputting 20W. iWalk USB-C mini Power Bank

The iWalk 4,800mAh mini power bank is suitable for emergency backup power for the Pixel 8. The 4,800mAh battery can charge the Pixel 8 nearly to full power, but that low capacity makes the power bank small and lightweight. You don’t even need a cable to use the iWalk power bank because it has a built-in USB-C connector that you can use to plug directly into the Pixel 8; the same connector can be plugged into a wall charger for recharging. There is a USB-C port on the power bank, but during my review of the iWalk power bank, I found using the USB-C connector for recharging convenient. ROMOSS PEA30 30,000mAh Power Bank

If you want a ton of power to charge the Pixel 8 for a couple of days, the ROMOSS PEA30 power bank has a 30,000 battery capacity to charge the Pixel 8 to full power about four times or more. The ROMOSS power bank also has a 30W Power Delivery USB-C port that can charge the Pixel 8 at 18W fast but does not feature PPS. When I was charging three devices simultaneously in my review for the ROMOSS PEA30 power bank, I could not fast charge via the USB-C port, so if you want to charge your Pixel 8, you should do it alone. Dive into my video review to learn about the ROMOSS PEA30 30,000mAh Power Bank.

Final thoughts about my choice of chargers for the Google Pixel 8

I think that the Google Pixel 8 is a high-end phone; there’s no doubt about that, and at this point, I think most consumers can agree that there is nothing too surprising. That’s how it is now with phones: incremental improvements. The lack of a charger does come as a surprise even years later when brands stopped including one in the box and the phones maintained their price or got more expensive. The good news is that the charger for your Pixel 8 doesn’t need to be anything fancy, such as the VOLTME 35W charger or the Baseus 100W charger being useful for charging the Pixel 8; it’s just your choice which one is more reliable for your charging needs.
