(Last Updated On: December 18, 2020)

Portable chargers that have their built-in components are among the most useful and the reason for that is because these types of power banks have more reliability.

Ones have built-in cables to charge your devices can be useful as long as they have a power capacity because they have a cable to charge your most-used device.

Some power banks have built-in components to recharge the power bank itself and they can be used as USB wall chargers if they have a built-in AC Adapter.

This the forward Power Bank Wall Charger that uses an AC Adapter plug and that means you can recharge it using the AC Adapter and you can also use it as a USB wall charger when it’s connected into an AC Outlet. It’s a very compact power bank that has a low power capacity but can prove to be highly useful.

Power Capacity:

The power capacity of this power bank starts at 3,350mAh and that makes this a Mini power bank. It has two USB ports but the Max Output of the power bank is 5V/2.4A and that means you’re mostly going to be receiving average power capacity most of the time with this power bank.

3.7 x 3,350 = 12,395 / 5 = 2,479

The Output power capacity that you’re able to use is 2,479mAh of power capacity and that makes this power bank mostly meant for charging smartphones only when you’re using it as a portable charger and not a USB wall charger.

As a capacity of 2,479mAh can charge smartphones like iPhone SE or the iPhone 7 to max power only once and then the power bank will need a recharge.

Charging high capacity flagship smartphones such as the Galaxy S8 or the Google Pixel will result in about an 80% charge, but this power bank simply does not have enough power to charge those larger capacity smartphones to their full power.

Of course, there are tablets, but it’s best not to use the iFORWAY power bank when it comes to charging tablets because it simply won’t charge them to full power since this is a mini power bank.

Output Charging:

What makes this power bank awesome is that it uses two USB ports, and the main reason for that is because it can be used as both a portable charger and a USB wall charger. If it were a stand-alone power bank then it would most likely just use a single charging port.

Each of the USB ports is capable of Outputting a charging speed of 5V/2.4A and the max output of the power bank is 2 4A.

So the good is that each of the ports pulls from the same max source of power and that would be 2.4 Amps, and a 2.4A charging speed can charge most smartphones and tablets such as iPads at their max charging speeds.

I realize that I said that charging tablets with this power bank is pointless but not when it’s being used as a USB wall charger because you’re not relying on power capacity then.

The bad news about only having 2.4 Amps available is that when you’re charging two devices at once, then each port will only be able to Output 5V/1.2A changing speeds. So it’s best to charge a single device if you want to experience the fastest charging this power bank has to offer.

Input Charging:

Recharging is done through the AC Adapter that this power bank has and all you have to do is just plug the power bank into an AC Outlet and it begins recharging.

The recharging speed of the power bank is 110-240V/ 50-60Hz. A recharge time to its full power can take 3-4 hours if you have not connected anything to the power bank while it recharges and if you do have something connected to the charger while it recharges then recharging of the power bank can take a little longer.

Design

Size and Weight:

The power bank is very small and lightweight and can practically be taken anywhere.

It has a length of 2.8 inches, a width of 2.2 inches, and a thickness of 1.3 inches. The weight of the power bank is 4 ounces.

Overall, you’re going to be able to this anywhere and that is a good thing because you’re taking a USB wall charger with you everywhere as well and you can recharge this power bank without needing a Micro-USB cable.

Functional Components:

The functional parts of the power bank are a bit everywhere.

On one side you have two USB ports, on the opposite side, you have a LED flashlight. On the long side of the power bank is where there’s the retractable AC Adapter and because it’s retractable, there are no protruding objects with the power bank which is what makes portability so easy with this power bank.

At the top is where there is a power button and 4 Blue LED power capacity indicators. Charging does not automatically start, so you must press the power button and you can turn on the flashlight by double pressing it and double pressing it again to turn off the power bank.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entire power bank is made of plastic and that’s not a bad thing because the build quality is good.

Tech:

On the tech side, the power bank does a good job of providing the necessary safety protections to keep you and your devices safe during charging. The power bank does slow down it’s recharging when you’re using it as a USB wall charger so it doesn’t heat up.

Reliability

Even though it has a low power capacity, the power bank doubles as a USB wall charger, and because of that, it’s reliability also doubles. You can take this power bank anywhere and recharge it wherever there’s an AC Outlet, unplug it and continue using it as a portable charger.
