Most Power Delivery chargers on the market have set PD charging power. That’s not really the case here, as this Anker PowerPort Atom Power Delivery charger is capable of supplying quite a bit more than most others.

The best part is that there are two Power Delivery port ports to use.

Variants of Power Delivery Power

First off, the max output of this Anker charger is 100W.

The two Power Delivery ports are capable of supplying 15W, 18W, 30W, 45W, 87W. And 100W of charging power. This covers quite a lot of devices and it’s one of the best reasons to get this charger.

Great for Charging Laptops

That’s because if you have a Power Delivery compatible laptop, such as a MacBook, Dell XPS 13, XPS 15, a Samsung USB-C compatible laptop or any other Power Delivery laptop, then you can charge it with this desktop charger.

At the same time, you can still charge a Power Delivery compatible smartphone at its max charging speed, too. As there’s such an abundance of power. Or you can even charge two Power Delivery laptops at the same time, too, as the 100W of charging power will simply be split.

Power Delivery for Smartphones

When it comes to fast charging Power Delivery compatible smartphones, the Power Delivery charging speed that you really need is 18W. Also, just a reminder that the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone XS are compatible with Power Delivery. However, you will need to use a USB-C to Lightning charging cable to charge from a USB-C port.

The other two ports on this charger are USB-A, and so they’re the standard ports that you would expect to see with regular chargers. They’re great for charging smartphones and tablets if you already have the two USB-C Power Delivery ports in use.

Each of the two USB-A ports has a charging speed of 5V/2.4A (12W).

Design

Size and Weight:

Despite this charger’s enormous power, it still has a rather small form factor.

It has a length of 4.1 inches, a width of 3.3 inches and a thickness of 1.3 inches. The weight of the charger is 13 ounces. So it’s not a large charger, but what makes it seems large is its use of a  power cord.

Functional Components:

When it comes to using the Anker Atom charger, it’s as simple as plugging the desktop charger into an AC outlet and using it.

At the front is where all the charging ports are. The two USB-C Power Delivery ports are paired together, and so are the two USB-A ports.

At the top of the ports, there’s a Blue LED light that turns on when the desktop charger is plugged in, which lets you know that it’s being powered and it’s ready to use.

Build

Structure and Material:

The quality of this charger is on the Anker quality level, which means that it has a solid construction with its body and the charging ports.

Since the charger has a 100W output power capability, if you’re getting close to that max power output, then the charger does get a little warm.
